I don't know about you, but this pisses me off, and I think it needs to be brought to light.

This is trying to be passed in the shadow of SOPA/PIPA and we can't let them pull this fast one on us, sorry for putting this is multiple places, but seriously the internet needs to strike again!
Let's make sure that this doesn't slip under the radar at all, start sharing this with others in your sphere of influence and let's destroy this quickly!

Soo while SOPA/PIPA has been taking over the news, something like this is sneaking in under us, and we need to rally up the same kind of support to stop this one too!

It allows the government to view everything everyone does on the internet, they can see you history, get your IP address, and see every aspect of your life. ITS ABSURD.

What the big producers do who make really loud songs, do not lose quality believe you me. Those guys are geniuses (provided most the musicians they work on are not) but they can make a fart recorded on a cell phone from 2002 sound like a symphonic masterpiece. They wouldn't sacrifice quality for something as petty as volume, they found ways (ways beyond an amateurs reach) to keep quality and volume.
By the by if you want to hear AMAZING production quality, the Foo Fighters new album is an audio engineering MASTERPIECE!

I think its real cool chill music, definitely have a little something going on there and I enjoyed listenin to it. With that said there is definitely room for improvement as with anything in life. The intro was really long, and the tone of it was kind of harsh and not fitting of the mood later in the song, and maybe have something with the wind constantly in the back or make the wind a little louder. Also the drum beat that comes in about 2:20 and keeps goin on was kind of awkward you have (bass - hit- bass - bass -bass - hit) try (bass - hit -bass - bass - hit - bass ) with pretty much the same rhythm.

This video sums things up. Theyre not going for porn or anything, theyre mainly targeting music and movies. If you so much as link to a youtube video of a song, or a video of a cover of a song. you can go to jail (im sure that has to be a very unlucky situation) but it is still possible. Its awful what companies like the RIAA are being able to do
Hey I'm not sure if everyone knows about this yet or not, but this is actually real and the government will be attempting to pass a law censoring the internet, and I know my fellow newgrounds'ers will not be happy about this so check out this site and join the fight against it! I know these rarely ever have an effect, but we have to at least try! Don't let the government pull this crap!

Strawberry Jam by The Trabajabas
We play live all the time, the one song Carousel Horse is a live recording at The Altar Bar, and it was a Western PA battle of the bands that we won!
We have shows with Punchline, Yves Jean, and The Supervillains coming up and there hasnt been a month where we havent played at least 3 shows in a long time.
You can search youtube and see some of our live videos, obviously the more recent it is the better it will be.

Ok so for my one class I have to make an electronic version of Penn State's fight song "Fight On State" and I'm definitely going the dubstep route in this. So, yes, this is extremely vague, but do you guys have any good suggestions for ideas on this.
Also side note, I have FL 10, what plug-ins should I get, I have a few other than the defaults, but I don't really know whats out there so if you could give suggestions for that too, and links, thatd be fantstic

Technically yes it doesnt exist, and formally it doesnt either because its illlogical and complicated, but the thing with music is that its based off of math and so the numbers could be right to make a five time, but again as said by this entire thread it can be written much easier many other ways. not only easier but hoe it shoild be written, there arent any benefits to a five time
Imagine going from 4/4 to 12/8. in 4/4 an eighth note triplet is one beat, and you need 4 of those to finish the bar. then 12/8 you still have 12 8th notes, but now each one is one beat, so to go 4/4 to any signature over 5 you would have to know what feel you're going for (aka triplety like 6/8 or driving like 2/2 or hectic like anything over 16 lol) then say you wanted triplety you would have to see what a fifth note triplet is like in 4/4 then just like changing from 4/4 to 12/8 you would do the same to 4/4 to ?/5
Hope that makes sense. Basically you have to decide the feel you want, if you just want a constant straight pulse then theres no point in not writing in 4/4, but if you want a new feel then go ahead and try something over 5!

That is such a good point haha, didn't think that through. With any freedom there's always abuse of that freedom. But whatever just a thought to be had.
There are so few rock-ish genres to choose from we should really work on adding more. Especially cause my band is such a random genre we don't even know what to call ourselves. And I feel people make instant judgments on certain genres so it'd be nice to have just like an "other" genre button where we can describe it ourselves.
What do you guys think my bands genre could be? (ps each song is a very different style)

I think it's a little to digitalized if you know what i mean, the effects sound like theyre being run through a computer, maybe a little less gain and more volume instead could help, but it sounds like you're using a line 6 amp and if so then that digitalized sound will never go away.
You said earlier something light and bouncy would work, how about a little ska/alternative

My bands song let me see your face is number one in ska and it has a score of 4.47 which is higher than some of the ones in the "top 30" and it never shows up there
How exactly are the top 30 songs decided, because it's not in order of score, listens, downloads or anything?
