Working with audio Posted May 16th, 2014 in Animation

So this is my issue. Audio.
(I had only experienced working in projects where the audio is given to me and now that I'm finally working on my project, I'm really sure how to approach it..

My main issue working with audio is timing and spacing. To me it's trail and error. But nothing but errors.

Example: I'm not animating this... I really don't care if you think this is awful writing or dumb.
:Matt: Watch your step!
:Mott: Whut...
:Mott trips, and then begins to look at matt with a face of betrayal. Mott than dies.
:Matt cries
:Matt: long... Long live the king.

The thing I have trouble with is the line 'wut', 'long live the king' and everything in between. Everything I try seems natural and very robotic. Unrealistic sound cues ect

My way is this:
Using audacity try placing them as best as I could without using effects(because that makes it EVEN WORSE) till I get a result. I go back in to the animation program to fix what I could(story board) but the audio always throws me off?

So what are your ways going about this as PAINLESSLY as possible.

Try editing with the contour editing tool?
That or edit the pivot point ?

Not exactly know flash's bone tool

Response to: Need Voices! Posted May 7th, 2014 in Collaboration

Right now, I found all my voices but the female one... which I kinda knew that it would happen...
I'm only animating part one out of... 3 maybe, which new voices will be needed. However as of right now I don't need voices. Just females.

HOwever- IF you are still wanting to voice. just either PM or post in this forum. Because I'll be needing more voices later and I don't want to make another topic.

This cunt needs a voice. (says one line and few grunts of anger... NOt sexual.)

I made this... it looks bad if you ask me. But you get the idea.

The most part the effects come from After Effects... pretty standard stuff.

--Story--
I'm going to kind of gonna keep this secret for now. But it's another space story!... cool.
Its pg 13 shit.(don't care if you cuss in your voice reel.)

- - - - - - The 2 Main characters- - - - - -
-Damian-
Age:20
http://s14.postimg.org/hlfcm8psh/Capture.png (sorry for low renders will look better in the final... I think)
Damian is an outcast and a loser because of his looks, Tall and mean looking(Deep ish voice)- And he's fine with it. He's a overly sarcastic kind of guy. But Nice. He's a big coward and couldn't do anything to hurt anyone. He's a big nerd for movies. He is also cunning with his words overall smart and well thought(planner) but shy so he doesn't say anything outloud(But this makes him look 'Chill' or 'Cool'.) His hobbies is just watching movies.
-Chance-
Age:20(looks 15; Trying to find someone who sounds around that age)
http://s15.postimg.org/dg2bxtj2z/Capture_C.png
Chance is a happy person, he is older than he appears. He is short and thin. He is clueless with things around him and that makes him kind of dumb, but hes very good at short term plans meaning he is smart on the fly. he is very strong despite his appearance, he always keeps a smile on even during the tough times and tries to be nice even to people whom are jerks... He is also very clumsy and doesn't think of consequences.

The other characters
Beau (age:20)
He's a jock/dick type guy, very cocky. Doesn't care for others around him
Fergus (Age: 45)
Father of Beau, Also the "mayor" type guy.
Lacky (age: aprox 20-30)
2 Female characters( just one female actor is needed... but 2 is cool)
They just think Beau is cool

--IF YOU WANT TO APPLY--
If you could either PM me a voice reel with a character you want to apply for(You can for more than one) Or post below in the forum.
I don't really have much work out there... but I have a lip test(Not uploaded) And a idle test.
Idle test: http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/e1cd50da5f888ae01157fce5b76f4dcc (year old)
If you want the lip test- just ask.

well, there are a few ways.
-Don't use the pressure in your pen
-Use pen lines(linetool) and then convert it to a brush and refine the edges
-Thin out lines so the wobbles are not noticeable.
-reuse frames but just modify them slightly(like blinks, hand gestures ect) so that the wobble isn't noticeable.
-Use puppets

And if you look... Egoraptors are actually NOT smooth and crisp.
http://s30.postimg.org/p50nuix8x/outline.png
Since its animation going about 24-30 fps most will not notice it.
But if you are looking at each frame, they could be unappealing.

My best advice would be just ignore it and just try your best. Try not going back to the frame because you'll just trap yourself.

Yea, you did the Swf. But most the work was in the fla. file, I'll just say its completely unsurvivable.

Response to: So this happened... Posted August 24th, 2013 in Animation

Since again; its a frame by frame animation- and only around a min long, I find it unnecessary to cut the file.

And since I use a vcam that I haven't installed yet and I very rarely ctrl+enter and compile my cartoon.

So if someone could fix my fla. file I would save me 2 days worth- or some shit.
if anyone could fix the swf. it saves me about 6 hours.

I'm sure where this goes exactly- but since this is an animation and I'm sure many have encounter similar problems. But I was wondering If I can restore this file? I do have a back up but I don't want my 6 hours of progress go to waste.
originally- it wasn't on the desktop but in its own folder I just tried moving it and duplicated it, non seems to work.

So I was wonder if there is a solution or should I just restart to its latest backup point?

So this happened...

Ah no, Its the thing you are supposed do before the storyboard. So everything is align.

-So like he steps on 8's on a 24fps (Or whatever the aduio director wants to do) those foot prints needs thumps.
Or if he is about to swing, i need the swing slash sound.

Just everything needs to be in one audio file so I can import into flash. - So every line and audio needs to be in it.

If you are still interested. I will be super hyp'd

But if someone is still amateur(Or wants to get into this trait) and is still interested.
Just start with the basic lines and pauses. And then I'll animate the thing and then add the little effects later. c:

Courage; I do not, Thats something I'm still trying to learn. Photoshop isn't my ForteÃf© therfor very difficult to navigate.
So I suggest not asking my help XD
I am acutally fairly good with more vector shit. seeing that I practices stages for 3 years. But no time for photoshot.

But if you can't find anyone friend; Just ring me up I'll force myself to learn the style very quickly.
