Open it with preview. Export as Photoshop. Open in Photoshop. Save As > jpeg.

It saves screenies as a .pdf file. Exporting as a straight up jpeg effs up the quality, so I open with PS and save as. Takes a minute, but it's worth it for the high quality. :)

i've tried uploading images lots of times but every time it tells me i need to upload a jpeg or gif image but IT IS a jpeg image! it really is!

does this have anything to do with the fact that i'm on mac?
