I read in a PC magazine that Sony is going to release a thingy that stimulates your neural cortex, making you smell, taste, and touch things in games. They said something about maybe doing it for PS3.
Whatever PC mag you were reading, they really know how to sugar coat the words. Anything can stimulate your "neural cortex".
If I showed you a picture of McDonald's warm sausage biscuit with golden melted piece of cheese; you may start to crave for one. It's used in advertising all the time with less technology. Touch? We already have something for that, its called the built in vibrator. Like in Metal Gear Solid where it was vibrating like mad when the helicopter came close.
All that PC mag did was just sugar coat words. Its like me calling a friend of mine a professional disposer of matter to benefit the needs of all the residents of our city(aka a garbage man)
