Beast: i guess i can see where these people are coming from. i mean there is such a gap between Final Task and your film, it outrages me also. i think that yours ranks up there at the #3 spot, IMO, but that's me. this rating system is really getting fucked because we have too many dark people. our best movie is at a 3.28 below HS2? wow!

i loved your movie tho. i would appreciate you going away from the whole counterstrike thing (btw, the guns are very similar, and you even used CS sounds, so that's why i say that, not just because it's hostages. besides, not all counter-terrorists wear gasmasks and not all terrorists wear black masks, etc. that's just a characteristic of CS). I think you can make other great action movies, which aren't so..... cliche.

good job. congrats. i'd just like to see the portal even out a little more.

Response to: Dom Price on defening Newgrounds Posted April 4th, 2001 in General

Cell says: Actually, I don't ever recall YOUR site being mentioned, but yet you still needlessly mention it and then place your site before Newgrounds. Interesting, and probably yet another ego trip. Comparing Mobiusfactor and Newgrounds is laughable, anyway, so your point is immediately base.

well, comparing his site to NG wasn't that far off during his last layout. actually, you could call it practically the same thing, just with no content.

Dom said: I was exposed to sex and violence at an early age. MY parents came straight off and told me the cause and effect of both. The result, is talking to you now.
Cell says: What the hell?!?! No one mentioned your site, Dom. NO ONE is using YOU as a scapegoat for ANYTHING. Your site is insignificant, and no one is blaming anything on you! Why do you insist on bringing yourself into this argument when no one gives a good damn? I mean, I know you're "intellegent" and egotisitcal and full of conceit and everything, so maybe I shouldn't be so surprised, after all...

we all know his ego is the size of Roseanne's butt crack...

good to have you back for a bit Cell.

Response to: Aspiring Animation Question Posted April 4th, 2001 in General

hey NOFX, Another book I had beside the Blair book that was really good was: "The animation Workbook" by 'Tony White'...it's a bit more indepth than the first one...I actually need to get that book again (A fellow illustrator stole it from me:(

I'm not sure where you reside, but New York city isn't the best place to look for animation Work..there just isn't that many companies to choose from...But hell take a shot and go out there and sell yourself...make sure you have a professional portfolio handy..(you might want to get a book on that)...And Hustle away...You have MTV animations, Stretch Films, nicktoons, curious Pictures, and a handful of independent houses out there....Just remember Mahattan has like 4 to 5 major art Schools, and 2 major art high schools,..and their spittin' out these unemployed graduates at a rate of 200+ a year!!! So competition will be tough!!
good luck!!!

Oritz: gah! i'm in san diego, CA. not good... i'm thinking of getting into UCLA or something for their art program. i think i'll be able to get in. i just need to get on the right track early and i'll be ahead of the game hopefully. i have a few contacts, and hopefully that's how i'll get into the business. as for now, i'll just hone my skills... and get that book you mentioned.

Mike: i'm not a writer, as evident of my posts.

Most hated person - Dom Price (too sarcy for my liking sorry Dom)

Most Liked Person - Razzo

Worst site - This is a cry for help

Best Site - Apelife

1. Most Loved - Razzo or Beaton
2. Most Hated - Dom Prince(well not hated, he's just my least favorite because I find his humor bland, where others don't. he's also keeps saying he's a crazy "fuck" although he's very sane compared to other people i know.)
3. Worst Site - 512 Productions (dude, it's all fuckin purplish pink!)
4. Best Site - Apelife or UF3k (cuz I'm lovin' the layout)

Aspiring Animation Question Posted April 2nd, 2001 in General

This is pretty much for Oritz or any other professional animator/artist.

What is that animation book you used in college? Would it happen to be "Animation: Learn How to Draw Animated Cartoons" by Preston Blair? Any other references that'd be handy for me for animation/art?

Welp, I'm now trying to get my name out, trying to get employed by anybody for a first business career. I'm meeting with a person who worked on a few WB toons, notably, he helped in the creation of "Tiny Toons".

I just need contacts, that's the most important thing. What would you suggest? I can't really move to L.A. or something, but should I try to go into business stores and literally hand them my card and ask if they need any services?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If you have none, that's fine also.

Thanks!

yes... now that I am back in PA for a lil while on n off... I will have time to complete the music ... it is still an active project and will come out soon... however with all of the other ALL YOUR_______ spoofs... I wanted to wait a lil while and to be blunt.. I had other priorities which came first.

I am very impressed with everyone's work and their effort to all come together to present the first real community driven FDA piece...

ciao

and then the anticipation ensues...

can't wait, sounds great. after that amazing "tainted love" cover, i'd really like to see this.

(u) Text you want (/u) *replacing () with <> for underlined text.
