MOTHER$#@%*&!!!

Napster is blocking The Ramones I think. I can't find any of their mp3's on Napster. Where can I go to get some mp3's?

vocals: Mike Ness, Billy Bragg
lyrics: Jello Biafra (cuz his lyrics are the best)
guitar: Eric Melvin (go listen to liberal animation, those solos rip!) or Hendrix
Drums: Dunno. No drums really stick out in my mind.
Bass: Matt Freeman (don't even argue with that. He's the best ever, hands down)
keyboard: Danzig (didn't he play it for a while?)

Response to: Joey Ramone: RIP Posted April 16th, 2001 in General

I haven't heard much of the Ramones. What are some of their good songs. It's sad that I never got into them before their lead died. I've heard I wanna be sedated, but what other songs of theirs are good?

The most creative post-apocalypse story I have ever seen was an old anime called "A Wind Named Amnesia." One day a wind blows through causing all of mankind to forget everything and revert back to the basest level of instinct. Only a few children do not lose their memories. It may sound like a cheesy premise, but it was very well-done.

that show is "Big O" on cartoon network and it's the first half anime type show i think i like. damn good plot.

Where I go for inspiration is a difficult question to answer. It is akin to asking how someone breathes, if you get my drift. There is a torrent that pours through my head constantly with idea after idea. Many are horrible, some I think are great. I forget 95% of them. Of the 5% I remember or write down, I probably only produce 20%. Sometimes it is too noisy and I feel like a failure. other times, no inspiration comes for months and I feel empty. I wouldn't know where to tell you to look for ideas. I suppose my advice would be not to look. Ideas can't be found, they kind of creep up on you. Sometimes I get inspiration from the simplest of experiences like lying in a swimming pool feeling the way the water is unlike anything else on my skin. Other times, a word someone says makes me think of something that sounds similar, but is unrelated. Then I relate the two. One thing I have definitely learned is don't emulate the stylings of someone else no matter how great they are. If you do, what you make will be flat and empty. Always stick with what comes from yourself. Then it wil be honest and stronger. I know that sounds chessy, but it's true.

I don't know if any of this is any help to you or answers your question in the slightest, but I gave it my best.

yes, that was helpful. thanks.

And yes, the world is full of bastards. 'Tis true. Ask Jesus.

i just wanted to ask you... where do you go for inspiration? you seem to have good ideas for movies all the time, and you have tons more on your site. is there a secret? i'm just not inspired to do anything great, nor motivated to finish a movie, because i think that it's crap. i need a good idea that i can stick with... where should i go for inspiration?

Response to: MX:Game-Chinny Whores Chinny Posted April 15th, 2001 in General

Bastards eh? Great work on the series... but for a game, I'd like to see a side scroller. Shooters and Street-Fighter type games are now trite, and rather(extremely) boring.

Response to: opinions on future flash... Posted April 15th, 2001 in General

I made it *gasp8. I read the whole thing, and I'm impressed. Of course this will be hard to accomplish, and I've never seen you animate, but I know you have very good artistic talent. What I suggest is having a team of animators for such a movie? Or at least consultants. You pretty much have the story, but during the process of making it, I'd stay in contact with somebody like Doodler, or Oritz, or any other animator just for advice (like camera angles, proportions, fluidity, etc.). Hell, I'll even help ya out if yuo need it. Scrubbie32 on AIM or chrisallison32@hotmail.com... I'm excited how this one is gonna turn out.

I just have one piece of advice:

I, as well as many artists, get tired of animating a single piece. Don't try to force it and rush it, because then you'll become bored of it and abondon it. Spread it out, take your time, and it'll turn out very nice.

Heres the deal. Mobiusfactor is current running on its new server, which is the shit. Now I get email redirection, subdirectories, etc. All that shit which we take for granted, and never treasure until we are without them. Well, anyway. In a recent fit of bordom, I have taken the liberty to learn collision detection. As I was digging through online anime archives, looking for a busty anime chick to draw in my free time, The idea hit me, why not make a fighting game for Mobiusfactor? As you probably already know, Tommunism will be releasing Jesus Fighter later this week, which, from what I've seen will kick ass! I have recently taken a liking to fighting games such as the Street Fighter series. I have always wanted to do something to show off my talents at drawing anime, but until now, I havent had the oppurtunity.

Heres the deal with the fighter. You play as Gogo, that bird thing from my site. You beat up all the toons featured on mobiusfactor.
But Im going to take it higher than that, much higher. I am going to add combos, specials, and even hidden characters, and levels. I am already doing the character artwork for this, and have released a short demo. You can play it here. The art on the demo is a bit jerky, but I intend to make the finished version with animated sprites, as they did in Street Fighter Alpha 3. Click Here to see a hidden character picture I did of our good friend Tom Fulp. I drew it by hand and then scanned it into flash. I went for the Street Fighter look, as its actually closer to my drawing style. Let me know what you think. I'll be putting screen shots up as they come.

Now for some senseless shit. As some of you know, I live in Florida, and I'd like to complain about the heat. My room is at the back of the fucking house. NO central Air, NO air conditioning, just the sweat between my ass cheeks. Spring Break is pretty boring for me, as the only person I want to talk to is my close friend Leah, and the only person within walking distance of my house is MF staff member Rego, and hesnot very pleasant to be around. You see kids, this is what happens when the school cheats you out of a drivers license. Another thing, why is it that guys with girl friends always have to rub it in your fucking face. I know, I don't have a girlfriend, I don't need some retarded asshole telling me how much better his life is than mine! Ok, thats my gripe for today. I appologize for my post's lack of usual pizzaz. My ass is sweating like a stuck pig.
Ech!

Mobiusfactor Productions

that doesn't really look anything like Tom Fulp... but then again, people drawn in that anime style don't really look too much like humans either.

as mentioned before, you need a quality button.

and please make the game a bit challenging. rather than tapping 2 buttons for a special move, make us type something quickly, or anything. flash games turn me off a lot, mainly because they are too simple. that's the gold of Tom Fulp, such as in his Police Simulators, they are challenging. Games like CI2 and Street Life and such, in my opinion, are very bland and boring. Make it challenging, dammit!

it isn't hard to get featured as i think it should be. if your movie has anything to do with a certain topic, it gets featured. i think there should be criteria for the movie to be featured... such as it has to be decent...

Was anybody as disappointed as I was with the BentReality movie? I think Brannon can find a better artist than that for his high quality sound. The artwork wasn't that great, and it was hardly funny. The only cool effect was the one in the club with the tons of colors floating around. Otherwise, I give it a thumbs down...

That movie had a LOT of hype, so i had high expectations...sue me. McFretn makes really good stuff, but I dont think that Brutality rivals entries like hostage situation two.

-Doodler

it wasn't so much the hype that ruined it for me, just like beast said: "wasn't my type of movie." i dunno, i don't like any of the combat instinct series that much either. something about Flash games that just turns me off, especially shooters.

just give me some frame by frame and i'll be happy.

btw, anybody know how that Damian guy does those grey smudges in his "Scrapbook" series?

i'd have to agree. i don't think it was the best thing since sliced bread.

of course, McFretN has a very good sense of color and camera angles, his artwork ruined it. i don't know if it was a poor attempt at anime that ruined this (hell, almost anything anime is already ruined before it starts to me).

i dunno, i mean, it was decent, but not that great. the anatomy was very far from believable, some of the characters looked... well... i don't know, this movie just didn't cut it for me.

i guess my standards are just too high.

And just because you're a "nice guy" doesn't mean the world owes you any thing. There's no "reward" for acting the way you do. That's a horrible misconception, especially when you believe compensation for such would be potential for a relationship. People will date other people based on their own opinions, merits, or whatever other criterion they determine to be viable... and that's only if they're available or interested.

truer words have never been spoken. pure genius.
