because you all sure do like talkin about it...
in my own opinion everyone should be able to get an abortion for reason so many before me (namely other topics) have given.
But here in my country abortion has been legal far before my birth, so here its kinda normal.. funny thing is that the netherlands has one of the lowest abortion rates. I dont know a single soul thats against abortion (thats not an argument). But the latter could also be due to the fact that we have the highest percentage of non religious people.

no logical discussion is neccesary, its only religious sheeps that think gays shouldnt get married. any normal rational living being doesnt mind gays gettin married. but unfortunatly religion is very intolerant and also has alot of control

I'd like to open a topic with political judgements, I am not sure if I translated it correctly but I mean quotes of important people.
I have magazine which always fills a page of one important man's quotes its fun and educative.

"I am not very analytical. you all know I dont spend alot of time thinking about myself, and about why I do things"
"I will conduct a foreign orientated foreign policy"
"It has come to my understanding that unrest in the middle east leads to unrest in the whole region"
last one i'll post is my favorite but I am not sure if its taken out of context.
"this country donates a billion dollar a year to feed the hungry. We are the most giving nation in that area in the world, and I am proud to be able to say that. This is no contest who is the most generous. I just wanted to day it. We are generous. we shouldnt show that off. but we are. we are very generous."

because how I see it, even tho your little essay was pretty good to read, is that america is becoming an agressor more and more. Also I dont want my organs to be given to any muslim or christian, thats a personal reason, but it is MY wish.... that's a STUPID wish. That would be like me saying I don't want my organs to go to a black person. It's incredibly prejudiced.
So true, its precisly the same indeed, and its prejudiced. But its what I want, if your a muslim or a christian, you should think its your time anyways... but again your right on your point, but its still my choice
"Oh, atheists deserve to live, but Muslims and Christians don't. Not with my fucking organs, nuh uh."
yup thats pretty much how I feel.... atleast if I have a choice, so I dont think christians dont deserve to live, but I would just rather give my organs to someone who is not religious, again its a personal thingy
I am not familiar with the american way, so maybe some can enlighten me.Well I'm a donor too, an organ donor (haha and a sperm donor once). But I don't really understand how our own personal views towards us donating has to do with the show, if that was what you are asking.
yeah true, I was just making another point really, it was a bit confusing, lets keep it on the ethics of the show indeed
But what this show includes is choice, so do you think donors should be offered a choice, to what people they give there organs to, or not? Because obviously(hmm maybe not obvioulsy) when you do not, people will tend to hold their organs.
and I really dont want to give my organs to someone who doesnt share their own
So this friday, in the Netherlands, there will be a new one time show called: The big donor show. bbc
A women who is irreversably (and deadly) ill, will choose from 3 contestants to give her her kidney. The public can help her with her decision by giving advice.
There was/is alot of commotion on this, but after a debate the goverment decided not to phorhibit the show, but was hoping the producers would cancel it. This is not gonna happen, because the network (BNN, build up by a sort of midget with a kidney disease, which died 5 years ago) has always been airing shows that are provoking (a populair show is where a host tries out al possible drugs). They claim that they find the program tasteless, but they find it more important to raise awareness to donorship, which has declined the past years.
discuss
I personally am a donor of 1st degree (meaning I give up everything including skin), and a debate is now if its reasonable and possible to give the donor choices.
I do not want my organs to be given to anyone who himself is not a donor. I find this highly logical, but there is still no real control on this. Also I dont want my organs to be given to any muslim or christian, thats a personal reason, but it is MY wish.
I am not familiar with the american way, so maybe some can enlighten me.
Why should a fetus, life or not, pay for the irresponsibility of his or her mother? If a mother that conceives is not capable of raising a child, this is still not a legitimate excuse for having an abortion. This is because adoption, orphanages, and foster homes are frequently available in great numbers for utilization by any woman at any time.
pfff non-argument again, a fetus doesnt "pay" for the irresponsibility.
the open possibility for foster parents etc, also non-argument, it al has NOTHING to do with being allowed to have an abortion.
btw being adopted often leeds to serious phychologic disorders during and after puberty, plus how wise is it to put UNWANTED children into the world. of wich a majority will probably have a tough childhood, or because of very young/old parents a incomplete one.
Banning abortion might actually stop or at least slow the horrible overflow of debauchery that modern day society sees as acceptable.
jesus fuckin christ, are we talkin about abortion or about what you see as debauchery.... stfu man
The rapid spread of sexually transmitted diseases in the U.S. would probably significantly decline as well.
NO no it wont, people will always want to have sex, being able to have an abortion or not will not have any influence on it at al. (studies have shown this, sorry I am missing links) but look at africa.
Of course this is merely speculation. But if a woman is not capable of lawfully having an abortion, one could only assume that she would be dissuaded from having irresponsible sex in the future.
...
This raises the question, why should a woman even want an abortion in the first place if she can simply hand her child over to the care of another parent?
This is obviouly a totally different step. to 'kill' a clump of cells, or to give away a infant who you hold in your arms and slept with etc etc, I cannot believe you dont see major difference in that, plus again the reason its not a good thing to place unwanted children into thi world for reason above. btw youre kinda repeating yourself over and over.
Having an abortion is not only wrong, it is stupid.
hahaha, funny boy.
Why terminate a pregnancy, life or not, if you do not even have to have the responsibility of caring for the child yourself?
yes I assume youre reffering to the option of adoption again, for the 18th time!!! btw what I didnt say yet, is that I think you expect alot of problems when no abortion were done in relation with orphanage placement and adoption numbers
The woman may have to go through the pain of being pregnant for 9 months, and birthing the child, but isn't that worth the life of a future human being?
non argument #66958
irresponsible sex without having first considered the consequences, and if he or she does not, he or she should be forced to pay the price.
Why? thats like saying you should not be able to get any treatment against lung cancer if you smoke, or breast cancer if you did get a child (much higher probability), or any care when you broke arm when you were doing a stunt, etc etc etc, it a ridiculious argument. The possibility to abort is there so why not use it?? plz tell me because you didnt yet told it in your ridiculious essay.
Less than one percent of abortions are the result of rape or incest. Most women deeply regret ever having an abortion for the rest of their lives, regardless of the reasons.
yeah you said that already to, but I dont believe one shithole of it... Here in the netherlands abortion is legal for ages, and I know alot people who done it (my mother for example) and I never ever heard someone telling that they regret it (which doesnt say nobody did). but btw this again is pretty much a non-argument again #958714565615465656
Everything seems to point against abortion. It is not only a wrongful practice, but also a poor resolution to the situation of an unwanted pregnancy.
plz tell me how old you are, and what grade you got for this assignment.

Everyone has their own point of view on the practice of abortion; some are very radical "pro-choice", and "pro-life" extremists. Pro-choice extremists believe that abortion is a legitimate practice, that it is the right of the woman to do whatever she wishes with her body, and that a fetus is nothing more than a non-living organism whilst it is still in the womb.
Here you are already making a big error. They dont say, that a fetus is a non-living organism (in that context it should have died) they say it cannot be considered as a consiencens human being (and you can leave human away even).
Many pro-abortion extremists often turn to the topic of rape in defense of abortion. They believe that a woman has the right to get rid of a child that has been conceived in the event of a rape.
yes and I hope everyone agrees.
Facts tell us that most women who are raped usually do not have or even want abortions, and that if they do they usually regret it for the rest of their lives.
I really dont believe this, probably there are women that want to keep the child, well thats fine, but what is of issue is the women that do not. And the regret part is ridiculious, I dont believe that at al.
Mothers who have children despite a past sexual assault usually find joy in their children regardless if their father was a sexual predator. We also know that less than one percent of abortions in the U.S. are the result of sexual assault or incest.
thats all nice and dandy, but what does it have to do with abortion, its not about them its about the ones that DONT want a child being raped or not it doesnt matter. youre arguments are all emotion based its really quite(?) ridiculious
Even if this were not so, should the child have to pay for the crimes of his or her father? Should the child be killed because his or her father was a rapist? Is it the child's fault that his or her mother was raped?
No its not his fault, but if it werent for the action itself the child wouldnt even exist.
Is the child an abomination, simply because his or her father is a criminal? That is a question that every impregnated rape victim should ask herself before making the decision to have an abortion, and it is also a question that every pro-abortion extremist should ask him or herself before using the topic of rape in an abortion related argument.:
No that question is irrelevant, because I am starting to get the feeling you are basing all your logic on some religious thing. and again you are comming up with emotional arguments which arent argument AT AL. youre totally ignoring the points where its really about.
Is it or is it not ethical to "kill" a fetus
Many pro-abortion extremists believe that the antiabortion extremists have no right to tell a woman what she can or can not do with her body. But what the pro-abortion extremists can not seem to understand is that it is the child's body that is being tampered with, not the woman's. It is the child that is having its spinal cord severed, its body being severely burned with saline solution, and it is the child being dismembered and quickly tossed into a garbage can. Not the woman.
yes very true, but considering that logic, it IS the womens right to remove the foreign body, it is attached to her, and since the baby cannot survive without her it is in a sense still part of her. and yes she can do whatever she want with it, like you can do whatever you want with a cyst.
Let's say that it is the woman's body, and that I am wrongfully telling her what to do with it. Are we not often told what to or not to do with our bodies almost everyday? The U.S. government has outlawed attempted suicide, the consumption of illegal drugs, and other offences. If the government is not permitted to tell a woman what she is or is not allowed to do with her womb or fetus, then they are not permitted to tell me whether or not I am allowed to terminate my own body, or pollute it with illegal drugs.
once again you come up with some good'old non-arguments. first I also find it ridiculious that its illegal to commit suicide, but that totally irrelevant. phorhibiting drugs is to protect humanity against regress, a fetus should not be considered as part of humanity or society. so the arguments are flawed but even if they were not they would still be irrelevent.
Many times the argument boils down to whether or not a fetus is a living being. There is no possible way to prove that a fetus is or is not a living being, so this topic is irrelevant and should be left alone when discussing abortion.
I am really surprised of this, because I feel that this is about the most strong argument "pro-life"(YOU) people can use. obviously it is a living thing, there is really no debate about that, but can it be considered as a human being, it has no conscience, and it cannot survive on itself. its just a clump of cells, only with a potential of becoming a human being.
So its very rellevant.
Unfortunately, many pro-abortion extremists foolishly continue to badger antiabortionists with the question of whether or not a fetus is a living being. I see a fetus as a living being because it has many of the same functions as a fully developed human being. It has a metabolism, it digests, its heart pumps blood, and its brain and nervous system functions.
true to some extent, but then we shouldnt be able to kill any other living being, once again youre missing the point, but I told the point 3 times now already.
It may not be able to live on its own outside of the womb, but newborn babies can not do this either. If you leave a two year old child in the wilderness alone he or she will not be able to survive without proper care from a parent of some sort.
there is a BIG difference between being able to breath, pump blood, and being able to get enough nutrients inside.
Once a baby can survive (with help, even with extensive medical help) it is not legal to undergo an abortion.
Yet another reason abortion should not be a legal practice is simply because most cases of abortions are the result of irresponsible sex and fornication. If a woman has irresponsible sex regardless of whether or not protection was used, she should automatically have bound herself to the birthing of a child if she conceives. If any woman or man has irresponsible sex regardless of whether or not protection is used, they should automatically know that a pregnancy is possible and be ready for the result. Why should a woman be allowed to practice debauchery without consequences?
what a bunch of crapp, really... I assume youre a virgin
