I think regardless it was a great job, and not revealing a reference from an obviously hand-drawn piece of art isnt the worst crime to commit on a forum like this :P Seeing this, I would love to see some more dynamic work. Im sure you can find a stock photo with a bit more going on, and it would make your work glow.

I like how you didnt draw that. I think thats the best part about that drawing.

I like the topic, sounds cool. (maybe I will draw Anthony Hopkins and Bradd Pit, hmm?)

im sorry to say, but the storyline you already have is rather...bad. Bad narrative, shallow plot, and generally bad idea. Why did this bamboo have the "key" to earth and why would he bet it in a gambling game with the an evil god if he knew what would happen if the god obtained it?

If all avascar's job is to do is write, he might want to spend more time doing his job before he starts aiming to make a team.

I dont get it...do you draw from life? Every time you draw someone and show us a picture of them, the picture is completely different in expression and angle. If you are drawing from life, very good job on the latest one! (the first one looks like a man D:)

I like how you drew the hair as well, very stylish and simplistic...one thing, though: Even if you just use lines to imply it, you should still attempt shading. I usually just very lightly draw in the shading, no smudging, no blending, because I hate to smudge up my drawings. It works pretty well if you just want to sketch it real fast, and you can really work it that way (very carefully at least) if you want to make a finished drawing.

...im not really looking for profit or recognition, but i always enjoy making storylines. :) I am mostly an artist, but for about 3 months, that wont be an option for me, so for now I offer to write. It can be for a game project, a movie idea, you name it: so long as you expect to finish it, have the skills to do so, and actually want to create something with a storyline to it.

I have writing abilities varying from simple story archs and the such for, say, a game, to personal narrative skills that would better suit an animation. Although my projects remain unfinished, one part that is never unfinished in them is a full storyline, and you can count on a fully fleshed-out storyline as quickly as the details that make it up are decided.

Again, I dont expect profit or severe recognition: after all, im just the writer. :P Name in the credits stating as much would suffice, just as you could credit the artist, coder, voice actor, etc. I am extremely flexible and am easy to work with, and I can guarantee that whether you have an idea or not, I will provide something you can be satisfied with.

Shoot me a pm or email me at cmkinusa@yahoo.com for any examples of my skill or to see about working together.

Right now i am preparing to shift into character sheets and storyboards, but I am still looking for another artist who wishes to join in on the creation of a new webcomic. Maybe you can help us think of a name for the web comic as well, haha. :P (always a hard part)

Again, what I need in this artist is a few things:

Good at figure drawing; dont have to be really detailed, but have to know how to draw people realisticly and be consistent.

Has to be able to either draw in a digital program like photoshop or gimp, or has to be able to do clean artwork on paper and scan it in. If you do it on paper, I can compile it but it will likely take longer, so I would prefer someone digitally savvy.

As long as you can do those two things really, and your style matches well with mine, then I can do the rest, including coloring and cleaning up. If you can do backgrounds, that would be great, too, just in case I have issues making one im satisfied with. If you join, you will be credited as a partner, just like the writer, so dont think I will be stealing the credit or anything. :)

Don't you have anything better to do than to flame me here? Go fly a kite or something. So what if I don't have any submissions, is that how the flash community here helps newcomers? I am genuine about my request, I don't need anyone to "do my work" - a simple smoothing of the animations I created is all that's needed. If you don't wanna help - fine - but don't tell others what "i'm up to" you douchebag.

lol, just because I dont agree with you doesnt mean that you should take everything I say in a negative way. I actually simply noted that there is no trust issue since there is no offer of money or any real gain for the animator. That is a fact, not an insult or a flame, as you say it.

Tone it down a bit, I was actually feeling that if they just have to do a bit of work then its just fine, as opposed to an at first impossible expectation.

lol, I would love to see an animator who isnt amazing do a 40 SECOND CLIP in less than an hour. Look, unless you provide more information that would convince someone it would be worth it to animate, then you will very likely get noone. Being more realistic would also help.

Response to: Collaboration "Idea" Lounge. Posted April 29th, 2010 in Collaboration

What about a web comic collab?

Basically, the creator of the collab would start off by making 1-3 pages of a web comic idea, then once the participants are decided, he would send the fla to the first member. That person would then add another 1-3 pages to it, but only send the ones he made to the next person, and so on until everyone has made one. Then, someone would compile it, add sounds or movements or whatever they want to make it interesting and vaild as a submission. Finally, a menu would be added and the Collab Starter would be able to submit it.

(obviously im just throwing this out there, im not interested in doing it myself, but maybe participating)

Response to: (Web Comic) Anyone Interested? Posted April 29th, 2010 in Collaboration

News is that I found someone to work with and we have been diligently working out the comic.

I am still much in need of an artist, however! Im sure work on the comic can begin without this artist, but doing web comics can take a while when doing them yourself!

If you would be interested, please send an email my way at cmkinusa@yahoo.com. I check my email religiously, so you will likely have a response within an hour or two of sending before 8pm Pacific.

For those artists that may be interested in this project, here is a concept art I have done for Matthew and Gabriel (the demon):

dont worry that was just a premise :) I didnt just think of an idea and type it out, I actually have work on this lol :P. Speaking of which, if any who are interested desire it, I will gladly go into detail on whatever you want to know about the comic. The details arent final, of course, I wish to at least discuss some elements with my new partners before finalizing. :)

(Web Comic) Anyone Interested? Posted April 20th, 2010 in Collaboration

Lately I've been devising quite the comic. I am an artist, and much of the work required for such a comic would be done by me, but I feel that while I possess a lot of skill in both art and writing, I am not the best. What I am looking for is people who are really skilled in one area in specific who would wish to collaborate in creating a web comic.

The premise of the story is this:

Matthew, the main character, is on the run from dark organizations. They are after him because he is a demon host. When Matt was just a boy, he was kidnapped by a known child rapist. When the rapist was about to rape him, something overcame the boy: a demon. The demon ripped the rapist to pieces, scattering him across the walls and ceilings. When Matt's father, the chief of police, found him, he didnt know what to think. The boy simply lay there, nothing on him, with blood everywhere. Neither Matt nor anybody else went on that day and the demon has been dormant within him ever since.

After events with his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, a gang leader, lead to several deaths (those of the gang members who attempted to kill him as well as Carlos, her exboyfriend), Matthew was forced to flee. Unbeknownst to him, Carlos's gang was simply a front for a larger crime ring, which in turn reports to a mysterious organization known only as The Society. As Matthew's father, working with a double agent within the crime ring, and the Society race to find Matt before the other, the demon slowly gains more and more power within his body...

Hopefully this catches someone's attention, because what I am looking for is both a writer and an artist. I need a writer that is comfortable working with someone else and is good at organization and multiple simultaneous storylines. I can handle most writing, if needed, what I need is just someone who can do the above so that I can organize the storyline into chapters and scenes.

I also need an artist who is skilled in drawing people. Not to say you will be doing everything, but what your responsibility would be is to draw the background people, to draw anyone that is unimportant. This would be the gangsters spoken of above, students at the school, and anyone else that isnt a main or secondary character. I am not extremely skilled at making lots and lots of faces and people, so I feel that my limit is with the maybe dozen important ones that should appear in each chapter of the web comic.

If you are interested, please do contact me, whether through a pm or my email: Cmkinusa@yahoo.com

I look at both constantly, but I do have email on my phone, so I prefer that.

Response to: Reinvent Your Town Posted April 15th, 2010 in NG News

I think that perhaps a town wouldnt be the best place for a themed store...that may just be because im in a gold-rush town that tries too hard for tourists, but with the current financial situation of America, who could take such a risk as a game/console-based museum where most money would likely be from the sale of antique games? Or a store based around online-download music? (most would probably buy their music at home and simply hang out with friends at the actual store)

A Gift to Remember Me

"True love is inseperable..."
Sometimes, even love is seperable...this is a gift I have made to let that one I love remember me, to never forget what we shared. No matter what we do, no matter who we are, sometimes things simply cant be changed. In her case, it was that her family was a thousand miles away, and they needed her...I will always remember her, and wont give up on being with her, but life will take its course, no matter what I do...

"Sometimes life takes away, so you may appreciate something that you always took forgranted"
