I thought I was done hiding from the other ones too..
anyways, final batch of concepts for the night, with one boss being the biggest snail.
Worms! O.o
A second set of enemies for the upcoming Age of Shuriken!
These ones I think look a bit more vicious than the last :P
Slimes!! D:
Anyways, these are just one set of concepts for monsters in Coolroy's upcoming game Age of Shuriken! Make sure to take a look at his page:
coolroy.newgrounds.com and check out the amazing trailer..that doesnt have my monsters in it yet :P
Here is General Slath, the main villain (unclothed right now) of a web comic I am doing with a fellow writer.
wow, thats awesome! (btw, rafters would be all that stuff on the ceiling of a hallway, so if you can imagine him having his legs around the piping up there and taking a piece while the guard wasn looking, splinter cell style :P)
Just imagining that in an animation about a secret agent is amazing lol

i like to use contrast when I work with small pieces. :P (the small guys are the actual size)
Here is my next up for critique...these are tiki masks I am making for a game, but I was hoping you would have some advice to add to their appeal?
Here is one of two pieces i was hoping to have critiqued. It is a concept design for a main villain in a story im drawing for. Im mainly looking for advice on making him unique, while remaining menacing and powerful. ( I realize the terrible clarity, but i cant scan anything right now so im using a camera)

It's obvious you have no fundamental experience with drawing, and drawing with a mouse is not helping in the least.
Go out to the store, grab a sketchbook and some pencils, and draw things. I'm not talking about this random shit, I'm not talking about cartoon characters, draw your hand, draw a tree draw you foot, draw anything you see around you AND SPEND MORE GOD DAMN TIME ON YOUR STUFF
lol, the guy is a troll. Theres no other way of putting it, he is simply posting these because he feels he is getting a rise out of you guys. Actually, he is very likely just one of the mods or even another user who decided to make an account for just this reason.
Trololo lololo lololo lolo!
if you can describe what exactly the animator will need to do, you will probably get more replies from capable artists. Just my opinion.
(as in, tell them the style you were hoping for, maybe a brief description of what will happen in the animation, etc.)
seeng by your obvious skills in grammar, you must be the writer then? My advice is to either post this in the writing section WITH a sample of your work, or give up on the whole ordeal and think of something else to do with your time.
a secret agent reaching from the rafters to steal gum from a goon. :D
im sure that Archer is looking for someone who has provable experience in making games, gigga, and is definitely looking for someone animation-oriented.
if you cant provide programming or art, you need to give a financial incentive beyond a cut of the profits. I can personally call myself a game designer, or a concept artist, or a writer, but none of this matters if I cant provide something substantial to the project.
Great ideas are cool, but not if everyone else is doing the work to make it come to life.
I average about 10 seconds or so, but that isnt entirely accurate. The way I animate, I do many different steps, so i might finish in two or three days, but averaged I do 10 seconds a day.
This is a short narrative written in the perspective of an ork from the realm of Warhammer 40k. If you dont understand, either try not to and read it anyways or look up warhammer 40k. :)
Dudruk's War
My body aches, my mind wrenches, my body is spewing blood from every corner, but somehow I feel more alive and well than I ever have. I leapt from my perch, a burning heap of metal and oil, and drove my choppa deep into something soft. Blood sprayed like a mist as the hulking marine fell to the bloodstained ground, his body separated down his chest. He wasn't dead yet, but he wasn't getting back up. I quickly drew my attention to a small, floating skull. It simply lay in suspension, its dark metallic gaze searching me up and down. As the sound of war whizzed and exploded around me, one thing stood out: a clicking sound.
"Shit..." I immediately dove for the cover of the gravel and debris below, but this didn't save me, or my back, from the blast that came. My body went numb, save my arms, which were safely under my body, and my ears emanated a loud, shrill noise throughout my skull, wrenching at it as if to attempt to escape its imprisonment. I jolted back up, a burst of energy overtaking me, and drove my choppa up just in time to meet the fleshy jaw of a scout. His neck snapped, his gun shattered, and his body crumpled as the force overtook him. This is heaven; nothing else mattered now, not my wounds, nor the orks around me, or even our warboss, this is war. I screamed out hoarsely, but with vigor, "WAAGHH!!" and was treated by countless more screams, soon becoming a chant, clinging to our hearts and pushing us forward, bloodthirsty and energized. Body after body fell to the ground, decorating the battlefield in their entrails. Despite this, the morale of the orks only got stronger, so that even the fearless space marines started to doubt their resolve. This was our battle; this was my battle.
The battlefield was near silent now, the occasional bout breaking the monotony of victory. As the last marine fell, our Warboss, Gargauntz, bellowed a victory cry. We came shortly after, making the voices of hundreds of boyz heard for miles. My feeling of victory was short-lived though, as something crashed into my back. Tinz, one of the nobs of our warband, was frenzied, his bloodlust unquenched by the war. I recoiled in time to dodge his second blow, but I was now feeling light and weak. He quickly clambered up from his miss and charged forward at me. With a near impossible combination of reflex and strength, I slid around him and dug my choppa deep into his skull. His bloodlust died as quickly as he did, and he slumped to the ground, his corpse bathing in the blood of himself and the casualties of war alike. I came to a realization of what had just occurred, and quickly shifted glances with the surrounding orks, looking for retaliation, but only found admiration. Gargauntz broke into laughter, with the rest of the nobz soon joining in, finding Tinz's unfortunate demise entertaining.
"Hahaha, Tinz gotz wut he desurved! One bolt short'a bein' one of 'dem mad boyz, he was. Now, c'mon ladz! Weze gonna do sum lootin' or are weze gonna let 'dem lootas do it for us? Gah, I sayz get back to goddamn work! Now then..." Gargauntz saw what he was looking for, and quickly bent to grab it.
"Dudruk, dat's yur name right? Git over 'ere," I edged slowly toward where he was standing, just as he lifted himself up. He had Tinz's personal clan insignia, and was adjusting a prod stick to it, "We needz a burna boy over 'ere. NOW!" As quickly as it took Gargauntz to speak, a tall ork with a metal mask and a skorcha aproached. Garguantz spoke a few words to the boy, and the skorcha nozzle erupted into a blue flame. The makeshift brander lit up at the end, and before my legs could sweep me away, he stuck the metal brander onto my chest. Heat seared through my body as skin burnt onto steel, and my body went from under me, dropping me to my knees. I felt myself bellow in my pain, but as the pain intensified it quickly turned into a roar. I ripped the brander from the burna's hands, landing its end straight back into his chest and sending him sprawling, and rose to meet Gargauntz monstrous figure. I knew this was suicide, but something had built up inside me, something as irresistible as it was powerful, and soon my eyes met Gargauntz's, our heads mere inches apart. The other orks backed off, with good reason, and the whole destroyed battlefield seemed to set itself for the next battle as soon as it had settled from the last. My eyes laid locked into his unflinching, as I knew even the slightest sign of weakness would be my end. The bluff held, and Gargauntz dead-set expression soon loosened and his arms lifted wide.
"We'ze got a fighta here now don't we?" he let out a loud, yet deep laugh that shook the very ground and rattled my bones, before he once again looked down at me, an unsettlingly fiery look in his eye, "Thees 'un here gotz lot more spunk than you wee lots!" Once again he laughed, but it was not him but the surrounding Nobz' bloodthirsty gazes that shook me to my core. This would be a very long night....
you got it buddy :P
Here is a drawing i am working on of my girlfriend and her baby sister. Its from reference, for those sticklers about stuff like that, no duh.

wow, two years? Time flies by, lol. Too bad those drawings some of them comment on kind of suck, since I have so many new ones I would love for them to take a look at. :\
next is the digitally revamped version, which is markedly better both in contrast and general shading. I think it turned out quite well. :)
Have two new drawings today:
The first is sketch I did of a barbarian:

lol, I dont have a thread about this :P I have a thread about Tactical Defense, but I just thought that someone who likes to code games would likely post in this thread, and I felt making a whole other thread about the other two games wouldnt be proper.
As for art, I have art in my portfolio and a link is now provided in my thread in this section. Sorry if it is out of place to you guys.
im....a little confused. Where is this avascar? He is the writer AND the project organizer, is he not? It seems like you have taken the project to your own, but if this is not the case i still wonder where he has gone to.
Personally, I wouldnt appreciate someone writing a new story to a game that im supposed to be writing, so unless im ok'd by avascar, I would rather not. :P If he says its ok, I would gladly, as I have already offered my services in that department.
lol, I forget that my threads get buried, so I guess i will have to post some sort of example, huh?

I have countless examples of my artistic skill in that account.
Here is a synopsis of the game as posted in the flash lounge:
Tactical Defense:
After a viscious coup in Germany, several countries are on the alert. Hoping to reverse the government takeover before the rebellion's dictator gains complete power, the US hires the services of a covert mercenary organization known only as Tactical Defense Corp. Stakes are raised as the dictator executes the president and states that he will "bring the sky down upon the enemy", a clear indication of nuclear power.
Tactical Defense is a strategy board game, with a deep focus on your squad. As your squad gains experience in the battlefield, they will gain the ability to specialize themselves into many other subclasses within their prime class. This unique system allows players to custom tune their squad to match their own strategies and preferences.
hey guys, im an animator/artist myself, and im looking to start a new project. I actually have three I would like to start up, but I have never seemed to have luck with the first two as far as coders go. I will list all three projects anyways, hit me up at cmkinusa@yahoo.com or just pm me if you are interested:
Project Sin:
you play as a double agent who, after being discovered, became the main experiment of a dark organization, who have forced psychic abliities upon you. After a blackout sends the whole facility dark, you make your escape and are forced to fight through the facility, using your newfound powers. But who is it that caused this blackout, and can you trust them?
Project Sin is a 2d scrolling shooter with similarities to psyops, where your powers take the center stage...physics are a key component of Project Sin, you have been warned
The Blood Throne:
After a dark and mysterious figure rises and unites the raving orc warbands, you, the Emperor's leading general, are tasked with fending off this new enemy and defending the Emperor at all costs!
A tower defense game with a distinct focus on storyline, The Blood Throne hopes to create a whole new experience in flash games, with cutscenes, an epic plot, and some truly beautiful graphics.

These are the three concepts I wish to push forward, and I can provide much more detail if an interest is shown in any of them. I am looking for a coder who feels he can handle the project, so please no novices or beginners in the craft. If you arent interested, feel free to pm me or something if you just wanna know more about the projects.
I am looking for a programmer for a rather cool project i am designing. I am an artist, I animate, I design, I write the story....pretty much, that leaves the programmer with two things: coding the game, and pitching in ideas when he/she feels like it. :)
There are a few things I can say here, but really if you are a programmer just send me an email or pm me, or even leave a post here and I will email or pm you. I will say that it is a strategy board game of sorts, which I would compare to Vandal Hearts, Final Fantasy Tactics, etc. It takes place in the near future, and has a realistic vibe to it. The whole board will be seen from a top-down view and each mission will have many different objectives to accomplish.
If the idea of working on a unique project interests you, please send me an email at: cmkinusa@yahoo.com or simply drop me a pm. I will gladly fill you in, and if you wish, would love to hear your own ideas on the project. Once you read what the game needs, then decide if you can handle the project, and we can go from there.
I think the whole mentality about scouting is rather flawed. Who decided that scouting is an honor or a privelege? I thought that scouting was simply a means of rifling through the crap, but it seems i was wrong, and because of that, I havent been scouted since they changed the system and will likely never get a chance to use the art system.
I give drawings I do of other people to them as presents as well, but I make it a point to fully finish and shade them :) Im a perfectionist though, haha.
