I'm making a game, but I'm having a little issue that I can't seem to fix. I'm using AS2 on flash CS5, and on one frame is an input text box, and on the other a dynamic text box. The only other difference being the font, and it keeps changing. their variable and instance name are the same. Anyone have any ideas?

It felt like I'd never learn, then I instantly caught on.

All the other popular flash games and I needed some cash for a runescape account

3+ weeks usually

2 that I'm proud of and hundreds of little things.

No

My first game got me 50$ which I wasted on a runescape account.

Not yet

14. Do you have any sort of physical condition due to your excessive use of the computer such as arthritis or a back problem or something else?

My back usually hurts after a while, but it goes away. I try to maintain good posture but it's tough.

No, probably intermediate

16. Do you consider this a likely avenue for a future career?

For sure. Probably not flash specifically, but game development in general.

17. Did you start this type of hobby as a passion? If yes, do you still have the same drive as you did when you started? If not, what was your reason for starting this type of hobby?

I started and just couldn't stop. I still carry the same motivation as always.

18. Finally do you have any tips for newcomers?

Yes, practice makes perfect and you've got to be patient. I also don't think I'd have made it this far without the motivation that drives me.

I don't know if you're still looking for help, but I'd be happy to be your designer. I don't know how skilled you are at making games, so I'm not sure if the limit will be your programming capabilities, or my very low brain power...

Unfortunately, I have nothing for you to look at for show of any flash experience, but I know my way around (I guess). I've been using newgrounds to find help making games for quite some time now, but yesterday I started a topic and it all went downhill. I asked for someone to draw me a map or pm me for more details. The details I'd provided them within the post were very brief. The topic was locked for my lack of details and wasting the time of others. I didn't mean to waste time, and I provided very few details because I wanted the artist to be creative and I would revolve the game around the map the artist made. My biggest problem was the difficulty of discussing this with the morator that blocked the topic, because he blocked the topic and I didn't want to be so naive as to PM him with my complaints. I posted a new topic, but in my haste to get to work, it was even smaller than the first one. It was locked too and I do apologize to whomevers time I wasted. If anyone has any ideas of how I can get someone to help, please reply.

What's happening fools?

I'm trying to make a game, but my art skills are shit. So I need someone to draw me a map for the game. The game is post-apocalyptic, so please base the map off that theme. I guarantee to share some of the cash I make off Mochi ads if the map is good enough. I lied, no guarantees, but please help. If you can, make the map as large as possible and be creative. I'd prefer you discuss it with me first if you're interested, but wtf ever.

Hey guys, I'm making an RPG and I need some artists and advanced programmers.
If you're interested at all, please PM me, here are the requirements for programmers:

Programmers should be able to code;
-An inventory system
-Rpg fighting w/ skills (skills provided + art)

Artist should be able to;
-Draw in flash, or create images with transparent backgrounds
-Follow directions thoroughly (Specific instructions will be given)
-Finish pictures in short periods of time (A background scene in 1-3 days)

I can take care of;
-Basic Programming (Main Menu, buttons etc.)
-Basic art (Buttons, maps, etc.)
-Layout (Where everything goes)

Probably not, when I used cs4, I remember basic resizing and alt resizing being swapped. How does it resize without alt?

100 Copper = 1 Silver
100 Silver = 1 Gold
Infinite Gold

How can I make it so that if I get 200 copper (copper += 200) I get 2 Silver? Same with 200 Silver into 2 Gold.

An example of code would be nice.
