Yay, another awesome roster! Some signs of life within all this inactivity. Also, haven't seen a quad post in a while. It's kinda interesting that all of those were spaced exactly 4 minutes from one another, adding to the oddity.... XP

Anyway, I finally moved up to bronze! WOOHOO!

Now, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, but this is just what it seems like to me...

I'm looking for flashes because of the inactivity of reports here. I'm not trying to 'impress' someone, nor looking for whistle points. It is true that I want whistle points, but not in this case.

If you notice, before the lock, there was a lot of whistling going on due to the activity of the spam clubs. Now, there is not so much activity, and it has made me almost a little uneasy. The reporting, previously, kept the club alive, healthy, and well. Now, there is rarely so much going on in here, and by reporting flashes, I'm hoping there might be a spark in activity, which would turn into a flame- and, hopefully, this would restore the NGPD to its former glory, minus the spam, +1 posts, bandwagons and such.

I'm not sure, but seeing as it has 'verizon' in it, you should either contact microsoft or contact them. They might help you with that. I'm a little suspicious that your provider may be blocking access from outlook, although I'm almost 100% sure that it's not the case. (It would be pretty retarded if they were doing this).

Contact microsoft/verison, and ask them about it.

Sorry, I usually do that, but I was a bit impatient on this one, as there hasn't really been much activity going around. I got way ahead of myself.

The portal has been really inactive lately, and I just jumped at the false chance that I got. The very most I've been seeing is 'My first flash' or 'I made this for this and this class', etc. This is the first good submission I've viewed in a while. Again, sorry, it won't be a problem in the future.

So let's do a little bit more investigation before deciding something is stolen? Good to go?

Yes sir.

Oh, and forgot to add:
This is what you will probably see when you open your computer, although this motherboard is a hell of a lot more modern, and this has nothing in it. It's going to look like a big mess at first, but it's nothing to worry about.

If you really want to do this and have almost no idea, ask some guys at Radio Shack, and DO NOT GO TO BEST BUY. Best buy people don't know half of the shit they're talking about, let alone how to build a computer.

THEY EVEN CHARGE $150 TO FUCKING "INSTALL" A PS3. A close friend of mine asked them to do it, and didn't let me (he didn't trust me enough at the time). They fucking plugged it in, turned it on, and made a fucking account. $150 down the drain.

Again, if you need visual help, go to Radio Shack (hopefully they will build it for you).

At 11/21/09 02:20 PM, HecticCircleCrap wrote: Yes. You just have to replace the hard drive. I have an Intel Pentium III running XP, I think you can do it.

Not at all.

Check the motherboard slots- they will probably not be able to support ANY of the hardware used today. You will have to throw out the entire thing, including the case- it probably has terrible airflow.

For modern standards, you need:

More ram than a 1997 PC, probably around 4 gigs of it.

A new sound card, if it has PCI express slots anyway. If it doesn't, then....

You need a new motherboard. If it has all the desired slots, you don't need a new one, but you need to check the slots (again).

A new graphics card (again, check the slots on your motherboard for the comparability)

A new hard drive; your PC probably still uses the old data cables, the ribbon cable- if it does, you need to get yourself a new motherboard AND a new hard drive. Hard drives today come with SATA cables, and yours will not be compatible.

New fans- for cooling, obviously

A new CPU- this is very important. If you want a modern PC, you need a new CPU. You need to check the pins first, although If it is compatible with your motherboard (the new CPU, FYI) then you're good. I'm not betting on this though.

Finally, you also need a network card- it's not needed, but recommended. Again, check slot compatibility.

A new case- for airflow of the fans

New power supply- your old one will definitely not suffice.

I think that's all, but if I missed anything, someone else add to this list. Good luck with your computer.

I'd take the Sergeant badge. In my opinion, it looks kickass, and I had seen actual guys from the army (in recruiting stations) wearing Sergeant badges on their right shoulders.

Heh, I also preffer Commander over than Sup. Commander. Sup. Commander is a bit too flashy in my opinion.

This isn't fileswapped. I saw this in the portal earlier, and it looked that it might have been swapped, until I saw the actual flash under judgment. I'm guessing it was passed in the old fashion way- mass '5' voting.

No, this isn't at all a fileswap. Just another bad flash that passed in.

Response to: Differences in RAM is Posted November 15th, 2009 in General

RAM =/= Speed

RAM is the amount of "thinking space" that your computer can do at one time. WOW apparently takes a lot of room in your computer to run.

The SPEED of your computer is determined by your CPU: the better your CPU, the faster your computer. Your CPU determines the speed at which RAM can PROCESS items. Again, RAM is what you are processing, and how much your computer can process at one time. CPU is how fast it can do it.

I was not aware that WOW took over 2 gigs of space to process...and I still don't believe it.

Also, I haven't seen figter around lately and his apprenticeship is halfway through -__-

Yea, neither have I. But just as shiezenhammer said, he probably has some problem with his computer, as he really doesn't seem the type to just abandon this club. The MONTH-LONG wait in total absence? He had no idea what we were doing, and most people ON THE FORCE quit due to the thread closing down. He'll probably be back with a nice long explanation, although (maybe) an extended apprenticeship.

Not sure what to think of this. When one does a first flash, it is terrible, and usually a movie. This author has submitted his "first flash", and it seems to be really good, but also on kongregate:

http://www.kongregate.com/games/dwild/su per-rebounce

Not sure what to think of this, as this is still under judgment at kongregate, although there are oddities:
If this is this man's first flash, why not say that under the comments at kongregate?
The usernames do not match up.
This account was made 5 days ago, not sure if to trust or not.

What's your take, guys? I didn't flag, but I'm going to keep my eyes peeled.
