I find it hard to believe that you could make an accurate sight by hand. Even being off by a very small margin could reduce the gun's accuracy VERY considerably.

That's the thing though. The rear sight is completely adjustable [up and down] due to wind resistance or some weird shit like that. So if my sight is off all I have to do is turn this knob.

You know what guys, I would get a scope, but they don't make any scopes for this gun. At all. It has a strange fitting on it and the gun stopped manufacturing around 25 years ago. It is called the Winchester 425 I believe and you can look it up if you want, it's pretty damn rare. I have found only one site on the internet that sells parts for this gun but the prices are way overblown, the front sight costs about 35 bucks or so. I think I could build my own sight, that would be fun, unless I feel like blowing 35 bucks.

It was my dad's from more than thirty years ago. The front iron sight is missing, as you can see, so what can I use as the front sight? A paperclip + duct tape combo? A metal bar? Cardboard in the shape of a cock? You decide.

Also this is my first time posting in more than a year, hurray for me. For those of you who don't know what a sight is: Here it is, basically all I need is a vertical object in the shape of a bar.

Try using your heads BBS. Below is a picture of the antique gun.

Hello TF2 Crew. Since I love TF2, I'm here to list my top in-game peeves. You could post your own too if you like.

1) Asshole Medics: You know those medics that are only intent on healing heavies, unaware with everyone around them? On many occasions, I see a medic so attached to a heavy that running around on fire and calling medic right in front of them does absolutely nothing. Eventually, each of those times, I died pathetically at their feet due to the fact there was no water or health packs around. It occurs a lot more than it should.

2) Snipers: Snipers in general are one of the most annoying classes. More annoying than spies, IMO. These guys can take you out fairly easy if you're one to think slow. They are especially notorious on maps like 2fort and Orange X3. That is why as a scout, pyro, or spy, taking them out brings more satisfaction than most other classes.

3) Complete Retards: One case that comes directly to mind took place on a competitive Warpath server. We were fighting to keep our two remaining control points, so a medic voice chats with a soldier talking about ubering him. The medic eventually ubers the soldier, and the soldier just stands there for 3 seconds in the middle of all the action. He then runs the opposite direction towards where our spawn would be. Needless to say, he was flamed quite a bit after that.

Right now, I'm running TF2 with a complete shit computer. I can run it at minimum on DX 8. I'm getting a new graphics card for Christmas though, and I can't wait. Thinking about an ATI Radeon HD 4850.

also, sorry for typos. i typed this up sloppy.

You don't get those games when you get GM. You might want to get those games for GM so you can get their content though. But buying GM by itself, isn't going to buy you Half Life, or CSS.

I would personally get Half Life, unless you already own HL2, and CSS. Then I would get Garry's Mod.

I already own HL2, and TF2 should cover me for multilayer. I'm going with Gmod. Thanks guys!

Also, if my computer can run perfectly smooth on Half-Life 2, but not on any of the other games in the Orange Box, would it handle this game alright on full settings? I've seen a lot of videos of it with vast seemingly infinite landscapes in the backdrop. I would imagine that would add to the lag problem my shitty computer has always had. And as a sandbox/construction game, I wouldn't want any lag at all.

No problem here. I have the Orange Box.

I haven't played through too many modern shooters. But I'm an oldie-but-goodie kind of guy too. I probably wouldn't mind the game too much myself. Myst, anyone?

Hello there NG. Both of these games cost the same amount of money in the Steam store, ten dollars. Which one should I get? I'm completely stumped.

I love sandbox games a ton, and physics simulators. That = Garry's Mod 10.

But I also love Half-Life 2 and FPS games a ton. That = Half-Life 1.

So any experiences with any of these games at all? Yes, I know Gmod is much more advanced and all since Half-Life was made in the 90's, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be awesome still. I'm poor, so don't make fun of me. Ten dollars is a lot. :U

sorry for typos

I remember I was the most obnoxious kid in my 4th grade class. Some girl with a group of other girls during P.E. class once saw a piece of gum laying on the ground and said, "Ew, I hope I don't step on that!" I bent down and put my nose to the ground and started sniffing it. I then picked up a little bit of it and held it to my nose again to double check. I said to the two girls, "Yup, it's spearmint. My favorite." They never thought of me the same way again.

So what about you, NG? I'm sure most of us were creepy/neglected kids at one point.

yes, i was freak. im not like that anymore, hopefully.

This guitar (Fender American Deluxe Strat) is probably the next guitar I'm going to get. It's a few hundred dollars cheaper than the SG I last posted, and I've always loved the playability and clear sound of it. Fender instruments make the best cleans evar.

funny, Gibson 61 reissue SGs seem to be either dark red or normal red. this one is of the darker kind, but I prefer it and this is still my dream guitar (at least one of them)

Well, this morning I ordered tickets for the upcoming AC/DC concert in December. It took me a few minutes to fill out everything; credit number, street address, set up an account, etc, so I was behind quite a few people who already have accounts set up with their information on it. Much to my surprise, I got row 5 in section 418. I've never had a seat even close to this far before. Tell me, is it really as bad as it looks? Nosebleed seats sound very ass-sucky. No, I'm not bitching. In fact, I'm thankful I got those tickets since I believe the concert sold out a few hours after.

So Newgrounds, what do you think about nosebleed seats?

also, ac/dc haters who don't want to contribute to the topic at hand, GTFO
