If you've got an isolated tech booth don't forget two monitor mics.

I'm directing a play in a black box that essentially sounds like what you're dealing with. I'm envious of the budget and the new equipment, we're using stuff that's atleast 15 years old. You seem to know what you're doing enough for me to keep my trivial guesses at how to do it to myself, but keep us updated on the project. I would love to follow along!

I just watched an interesting (although slightly devoid of paradigm shifting wisdom) about sampling called RiP: A Remix Manifesto. Check out the video on the bottom of my most recent news post, it's the trailer. You can probably find the video on surf the channel or something like that.

Under current law sampling and profiting without permission is against the law. See Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. I really hope these laws change sometime within my lafe.

Hey-o,

I took my submission off after a while. I only spent 20 minutes recording it, I just didn't feel right having it in the competition aside these other fine well-written works. Kudos to zee winners!

I say we replace the voting system with one button: a big gold star, like back in the school days!

Everyone can be happy and dance in blissful ecstasy with their gold stars and no more zeros and no more starving people with aids or bums asking me for money and no more sobriety meetings or lonely drunk nights... what planet are we on?

A product of my insanity:

I'm not sure what I miss more. The script I had written before and lost in the HD crash of doom, or the mind I've never seemed to have.

Alright, so I've been crazy this last little while. Between University, directing a play, working, and drinking my face off, time has been slim. As well, my hard drive crashed and I lost essentially everything I've ever created in the past 15 years, including my voice acting script for this contest.

It'd be so lame of me not to enter again though. So, tonight, after a cappella practice and instead of solving ordinary differential equation problems like I'm supposed to, I'm going to record a damn submission. It's not going to be well written, witty, or have punchlines. It's just going to be my crazy ass self speaking into a microphone. And making farting noises into a microphone. And yelling into a microphone. And sitting on a microphone!

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

No worries. They were all valid points, I just found that one comment to be a bit much.

I almost forgot about this group, I'm glad I stumbled in again. That's a wicked list above me there, I'll stumble few the few names I don't recognize and hopefully find some gold!

Also, I put a new song up a while ago you guys might enjoy: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/2 62654

My advice would be to never fear fucking around. Not everything you make has to be perfect, go on some wild tangents and see if anything works out.

Yes, and by god, I will respect you for it! Making sound effects (ie going around with a mic and recording shit) is AWESOME!

Make sure that when you get it you choose to make it public! Then on your profile other people can check out what you got. This is what I picked up when I won the last contest: http://tingtonger.newgrounds.com/purchas es/

Sadly I don't have easy access to recording my piano until September, then this e-jamming will be a breeze for me. I'm working on a backing track for Black Orpheus which should be pretty cool.
