I am looking for a MP3 compressor, atleast i think thats what there called.

All i need it to do is enable me to put in say a 1mb mp3 file and make it a smaller size, say around 500-800kb for example.

Im not botherd about programs that make mp3 to wav and vica-versa thats not what im looking for, all i need is a program that makes mp3 files smaller. I know this reduces the quality and all of that.

There is a site that does show a small amount of advertisements to be shown after 7 days of activating your account. You get 50mb to use how ever you want to. Plus you dont have to put 'this site is built with....'. You dont need the www.freewebs/ bit either at the start. All you put is your site name and either these extensions after your site name:

5u.com
So your site could be www.sample.i8.com
the site is called 50 megs.com and i have been using that for quite some time now. I find it to be easy and it aso offers you to upgrade to a payed acount. 50mb is your free account, you can also pay $3.32 p/m for there maxim account which offers you heaps of stuff.

Hi im Timbo1, you might remeber me from my Tims Naked Quiz, and Tims Naked Quiz 2 games. I am beggining to pl;ot my ideas down for Tims Naked Quiz 3, and my ideas are sounding quite excelent you might say! It has been nearly 2-3 months since TNQ2 was submitted to the portal. Id like to thank everyone for there possitive advice, as like everyone else no one wnates to hear negative crap.

So here are my ideas for Number 3, i hope you like them as much as i do:

-10 Girls. Each with there own specialality and Difficulty. Each girl has 10 questions making a grand total of pics 100 !!!

- A new Menu, the chicks names will be featured on the left, with a rollover button so the chicks picture appears on the right half of the screen.

- DJ Tiesto - Cry For Love. This has been featured on many Porn films, so why not on here!

- Harder Questions. All the easy questions will go to the chicks that are still hot, but not boilling hot!

- Links to sites where i may have gotten the girls from, i haven chosen the girls yet, but most i get from the same site.

Um, yeah thats about it. I will have heaps more once i get started which hopefully will be in the next couple of days. If you havent seen TNQ2 i want you to click on my profile, and select TNQ from the list. TNQ1 isnt that great, so dont worry about playing that. I hope to make TNQ3 the best on NG.

Now i want your ideas, once/if you have played Tims Naked Quiz 3, what should you think there should be in it. Got a favourite chick that you love to see in it? Well ill get around to mutting around 3/4 of ideas, hopefully all of them! I dont want to many hard ideas, i really suck at scripting. all my quizes are done using clicking for scripts, i dont type them in. So if you coulkd go easy, or perhaps include the scripting that would be grand.
So anyways, i would love to hear what you think should be in Tims Naked Quiz 3!
Hopefully it should be out within a month, or less depending on my schedule.

Still, if we are going to clean it out NG i think getting rid of all users begining with the letter ' N ' and signing up in 2003 are begining to clog up important space in NG, getting rid of them should be a mojor priority, say so?

I am seeing Acid Pro next to FL Studio allot. So im thinking of getting it, but first off:

What is it?
What does it do?
If i have FL5 do i need Acid?
Is it easy to pick up and understand?
Is it worth it?

I think all of newgrounds needs a really big clean out, i clicked on a wrong link and it directed me back to the really old NG. If anyone can remeber newgrounds back then it looked really crap, hardly no flash and the color scheme they used really sucked. But hey, you have to start somewhere.

Anyways i just think there is way too much junk floating around on Newgrounds, it really needs to have a big clean out. At the same time i think they should do some serious updating on some sections around newgrounds.

Every where i look you will always see ppl looking for FL tutorials, everyone needs help!
I have had FL for some time now, going back to when i first had the 3.4 release. I've gotten to know a few things, there good, but like a beginner not great...

So i want to use this topic for the Advanced Fruity Loopers to the ppl who just opened the box and have taken out there FL disc, looking at it with pride knowing some day they will be great :)

I guess we have to start somewhere, but for a beginer (like myself) where do we start? what should we do? how long will it take me just to make one friggin good song!
We have read the hotkeys, we know what all the interface buttons do, we understand what a piano roll, FX channels, Patterns and all that stuff is.
So why cant there just be a simple step by step process telling you how to make wicked songs?
Ive been through here, ive been through google, ive registered in oh so many forums only to find useless junk we all know.

So if there is that person out there, who knows what to do to start off with, can explain how to make a song in plain english, well i beg you to share your Info with all these struggling FL Users like ourself.
I know this forum will come in handy for those beginers who just need the kick start they've been waiting for.
And for those people who can help i thank you now for all of your support!

There must be some way that the top 5 can be better, we have all said that the high votes get top. They could always do what they did with the Flash Portal, you have to open the file first, and after a short amount of time (depending on the size of the file) the vote bar then appears.
I read that in the NG news i think, but still i havent seen this done...

I think when you click on a song you load up a new pop-up type page, you listen to the song in there. The song can be imported through a .swf file then once the song is finished it fades, where then in comes a voting pannel with 2 links underneath it. 'Download' and 'Review'.

I've been thinking about that for a while! It allows all ppl to listen to the song before doing a review or vote. Seeing its in a .swf file there has to be a 'download' link, just so your not fishing through your temporary internet files for a large .swf file like you do with normal Flash.
Better still id like to see that also done in the Flash portal...

DUDE! you dont get it, all 5.1 means is that there is 5 SPEAKERS in 1 AMP, jeez

7.1 , 7 speakers plugged into 1 amp
9.1 , 9 speakers in 1 amp.

Fucking hell, subs are extras, there not included in the package. for HOME THEATER you can use subs as an amp, therefore you might get 7.2 or so on so fourth...

Okay my sound blaster is a 3d EAX EQ, i got a splittier that goes from a head phone into 2 RCA, that goes into my amp. The Amp divides that into 5.1 suround sound WHICH is 2 front (stereo) 1 center and 2 rears, count that up theres 5. 5.1 means there is no sub. subs are not included in 5.1, 6.1, 71 and the new 9.1 at all!
I then go back to my soundblaster software, and configure it to tell it that i have 5.1 speakers plugged in. This software divides it up and makes the center and 2 rears act in surround mode.

Now as for all you useless ppl who didnt answer my question, here it is for those looking to do it...

Buy a Y mini adapter from any radioshack or similar. This allows you to add 2 headphone TYPE plugs into the one socket. much like a T socket basicly.
So now i got my splitter, pluged the headphone jack into the socket, then my pc speakers into the 2nd socket, then plugged the mini Y plug into my soundblaster AUDIO OUT socket. Bingo it works

All i had to d was configure it through the hardware config, get the latest updates and im done. I recomend ppl try this at home. It truely is amazing!

Some are Pilchard's D-S-L, i think that is sweet, the only problem is does the AP have a file limit. i think its 5mb? I think there should also be a minimum size as well, say 1.5-2mb so you know its not just some crap sound being looped, or some dick thats just made a crappy entry just to get into the top 5.

Better still, why dont they get rid of the top 5, and just list a 'most viewed' that way you would know if the songs are popular or not.

In there it has the best speech tool you can get, change the pitch, tone, type of voice, heaps of options. Just type in your text, put it in as a normal pattern sound, and hit render as MP3/Wav. then your done

its so easy, plus you get a really wicked music program at the same time. Its like killing two birds with one stone!

When 4 came out they switched the name to FL Studio, am i right? or is this Studio bit an extra feature? Oh well, doesnt mind me.

Ive used Fruity Loops/FL Studio for ages now, my first experience was FL 3.11. Now that was good. If your new to FL, i recomend you go get that first. its allot more easier.
FL is famous for not only letting make the patterns but its real power is 'under the hood'. When you find out all the options FL/Studio is the most powerful music making program there is, and still will be. I beleive that came from Toby Emerson i think it is?

Anyways, 3.11 is great to start off with, the next best one is either 3.33, but that had allot of bugs, even the demo. So i would go for 3.4. I still think they are great. Both are still easy and are great to make some good music even if your a beginer.

Once you have progressed go to FL Studio 4. I think that is great. the sleek new design is F*ing awsome, and is really great!

I have only just started to mess around with 5, and i have to say FL is still up there #1 with the best music making program out there, others like Cakewalk, ACID Pro, Sonar, CuBase SX, AnalogX, FreeVerb, iZotope Vinyl and Oxe FM synth are crap i have found. I read somewhere that if you liked FL them programs should make your audio making a breeze, all they are is shit. So theres the foreword.

Anyways, start from the basics and build your way up. You might still be able to find 3.11, 3.4, Studio 4 on either the FL Studio website, or go to PC User, where i bought the CD which had 3.11, and then later the 3.4
Or like anyone else do a google, there are millons of sites that offer FL downloads, tutorials, mods, all of that.

Hi, mainly this is posted in the 'Audio' section becasue its about my computers Audio.

I recently got myself 2 pc speakers with sub for a reasonable price. Plugged them into my sound Blaster, they work fine.

Now only a few days ago i found a plug that goes from a headphone jack into 2 AUX cords (most commonly know as them Red an White cords, from dvd players, xbox, ps2 etc...) So i bought this cord.
I then plugged it from my 'Audio out' plug (or simmiliar name whatever...) into my stereo. With no supprise it worked, and i have perfect 5.1 sound.

Now the story has passed, heres me Question...

I still have my Intell(r) that came with the computer, this still works fine.
Now,
Can i have my 5.1 stereo plugged into my sound blaster (where it is now) and my speaker with sub plugged into my Intell(r) and have both speakers playing the same sound, at the same time?.

My sound blaster & Intell(r) only support one Audio out, which is the green outlet.

Oh if this matters i have win XP, with SP II. some ppl ask what OS i have, so there it is.

At the moment i fu*king love William Orbit - Adagio For Strings and Driftwood - Freeloader. Thing about trance is that most of the songs are really hypnotic! So yeah, thats my collection, ive got over 178hrs of music acording to windows media play toataling over 18gb+. and thats just my Techno, all of my other music is over 5gb+ or around there. Use dreamweaver, it lets you do much more than Frontpage. I myself have used frontpage and dreamweaver, although frontpage is a simple drag-drop interface dreamweaver is much more understanding of what you do

THE MAIN REASON: When it comes time to copy your html code into a web server (like yahoo geocities) frontpage's code is all messed up. Your pics are all over the shot, stuff doesnt load and you have just a white background.

With dreamweaver this code is simple and is just a copy and paste. Anyway refering to one of the answers above why the fuck would you use notepad??????

Yeah thanks for all your help! All i need to do now is copy the codes into dreamweaver right? Do i need to setup a language script thing? at the moment im just using normal html (or whatever the defult is) and ignored javascript, asp etc.. now that i have the little code thing do i need to change my language to javascript?

I have made a hyperlink so when you click on it the page loads up with the flash on it. Cna i make it so the hyperlink loads up a seperate page?

IF so can anyone copy the javascript code in here? I may no how to change it i just need the code so a pop-up appears.

Yeah ive opened up some flash games in dreamweaver and i dont have a bloody clue what i'm looking for, i think theve done it seperatly in javascript. If anyone that knows how to make a link pop-up on a seperate page can they just copy and paste the coe here?

Hi, im thinking about making a site for my home network. The story is me and my 3 neighbours are hooked up on 1 network. I am interested in making just a fun website that we can all use to do shit on. Hopefully soon it will be on a actual web site if all goes well.

My question is how do you make pop-up ads to appear. If i make a movie i want another page to pop-up, like the Newgrounds Flash Portal.
