So? Why can't girls dress slutty? Why can't people talk like delinquents? Why does marriage have to be between a man and a woman? Tradition is one of the greatest things that has lead to stupidity, bigotry, and misunderstanding. Human behavior changes naturally in cycles every generation, and people haven't become any more stupid proportionally speaking.
If you know your history, society hasn't changed much in the past 40 years. In fact, drug and alcohol usage were probably more common proportionally back then. The prosperity and morality of that time is an illusion, especially back in the 50s. Don't blame freedom. Blame our failure of a government and education system.
I would still like to hear your solution to the problems you listed. People love to bitch about problems but never deliver a solution. If you want to complain, put something on the table of how to solve it. Everyone knows there are stupid people. How do you fix it or can you? Think about it.
What's wrong with cannabis? What's wrong with homosexual marriage? I guess you could make a case for abortion. How have freedoms affected dress code? That's more of cultural thing than an issue of freedom. How have freedoms affected language? What society makes you speak a certain way or you are punished other than for religious reasons?
What makes you so special that you get to judge how others live their lives as long as it doesn't hurt others? What plan do you propose to fix this, a limit on what you can say and how you can dress even if it isn't affecting anyone else? How will your plan increase the advancement and productivity of humanity?
What you have implied in your post is a land that must be ruled by force rather than by intelligence. What you have implied will destroy creativity and incentive. I can tell you are an elitist who believes in aristocrat rule. The American civil war shows just how much a slave society hurts an economy and technological advancement. Necessity breeds innovation. Let stupid people be stupid as long as it doesn't hurt others.
Who actually likes this guy? I have never met one republican that liked him, and no one wants him as the GOP nominee yet he is still the overall front runner.
Ron Paul has all of the young and/or intelligent people's vote.
Newt Gengrich has most of the elderly vote.

Who does that leave? If you like Mitt, please tell and explain why you like him and how he has anything more to offer to the table than any other GOP candidate or even Obama.
