I thought you all might like to know about the Gorillaz
competition that's starting on the 15th. It's an animation comp that will run
for 23 weeks and the final winner will collaborate with the Gorillaz! Click
here for details!
Also, I'm working on a detailed flash at the moment which
should kick start my return to flash animation. Expect some news about that soon. Until then, enter the Gorillaz
comp.

good work chinny ! I'm reading thru the refugees arc again, I think I missed a few there in the middle. Good luck with your new flash works, and thanks for the plug!
thanks :)
i was an affiliate before the awards were brought in.. and the only thing that i've uploaded for 2 years is the FDA under shoks account, and the Mister Fox game last week.
Don't judge me from my early work, it's mostly cruddy. I'll be working much harder from now on.
i'm doing a short business course and for the marketing we have to research some stuff. I need a few people to fill out this very short survey CLICK HERE
It's about people having the internet and if they play games online. noone in my course had even heard of flash games online, so im trying to enlighten them a little, and also spread the word about newgrounds.
You don't have to enter your email adress or anything, and it would save me going door to door with a survey. I also figured that the newgrounds community would be my target demographic, so please help out if u can.
it's shit. flash MX 2004 loads bloody slow, screws things up royaly, won't let me easily save under flashMX file-types. it keeps insisting to save as MX2004. the new features are completely lame. un-install it and put back the old MX.
btw, i had no problems loading old flash MX files.
hey titbread, i've stopped coming here too. it's hard to get a straight answer about anything nowadays. it's great that you've decided to start your own company. I've applied for a $20,000 grant to make a flash 4 minute filmclip for the ABC tv here in Australia, and if i get it, it'll be more than enough to set myself up in melbourne as a serious animator.
i need a little help. i cant figure out how to swap depths in a flash game.. i want all the characters to be layered correctly based on their Y axis. so if the main character walks down the screen, he will automatically be layered behind the enemies if he is walking behind them. it should be kinda like final fight or something. hope someone knows something about this. :)
im helping a friend make a flash and he needs these little ball things to move random around a shape. the problem is im not sure how to check if they have gone outside the shape, and how to send them back the opposite way, possibly with a little inertia.
what style r u thinkin'? jazz jackrabbit or something? im pretty busy all weekend, but i dont mind helping out if u can wait until next week. if u need a text logo too let me know, i need something like this to bulk up my graphics journal :)

ok, so i know how to change the mouse into a picture or movieclip, but how do i define what part of the picture is the tip of the mouse?
this goes on the MC:
onClipEvent (load) {
startDrag("/glove", true);
}
and then set the axis inside the MC to where u want the tip of the mouse to be.

It still turned out very well Thistler. I think it's a lot better than my matrix effect. I wanted to do more with it but it looks like I don't have the time.
thanks :) i based my whole thing on raindrops on a window. or something similar.
i think u still have time. the upload section hasnt been finished yet. theres probably been an extension.

My collection is made up of hard back and paper back from the early eighties.
..
the one in the best condition would be the secret of the unicorn, in hardback, and softback. its a shame my dad let us have them when we were young. i had a habit when i was 2 where i would stamp books with "air mail" stamps. tin tin survived, but many didnt.

Another thing I noticed is they don't print them in hardback anymore or if they do you'd have to go to ..
ive got tintin in tibet in hardback, and tintin and the cigars of the pharoah in soft and hard.. thats all ive got here tho. ive got the rest stored at my dads somewhere.

Ah, I remember when I was seven I made the idol with the broken ear out of clay, but it only lasted a week, my brother smashed it, the bastard...
did u mend it with string like at the end of the book?
i just checked, and this particular copy ive got was published in 1975,. i think all my other ones are old too.

You woulda probably been older than 3! I think i was like 8 or 9 and im 14 now!
when i was like 6 or 7 i used to read the tin tin books. the cartoons series came out while i was in high school. so its about 10 years old now? gotta love the stories. ive still got about 8 of them (books), and about 10 asterix. have to buy the set one day.

funny how this is the most rippable script on the internet and you make a contest about it. tsk tsk.
theres no fun in ripping a script :) im sure when we provide the code and techniques that it'll be obvious if it was stolen or not. hopefully the next task it nothing to do with matrix though. it would be nice to make something original.
