Except they won't be in the playoffs this season.

At the time of the post, the Giants still had a shot at the playoffs. and they've been doing this the last few years.

And does this mean the Eagles have assumed the role of the Giants? Nah, who am I kidding, they're still the Eagles too.

Still inconsistent (watch out for dem Raiders!), but they are starting to look better. I guess because McNabb and Reid are going to be gone in a few years, and they know it.

Finished Uncharted 1. To use a colorful analogy to describe my experience playing the franchise backwards:

It's like having sex for the first time with a Greek goddess, then going over to Paris Hilton. With the goddess, you didn't know what to expect - it was pretty good, but you're sure there's better out there, right? Then you go to Hilton, thinking "okay, she was considered hot a few years ago". But now.... gameplay was loose, it's kind of ugly, it didn't last too long, going from handhold to handhold was subpar and just a minor diversion, and when you shoot, your gun just didn't feel powerful.

Also, Dead Space is not a game to play for the first time at 12:30 at night.

Nothing like a good headshot to put them dow.... WTF!?!?!?!?! WHY THE FUCK IS IT STILL MOVING!?!?!?! KILLITKILLITKILLITKILLITKILLITKILLITKILL ITKILLITKILLITKILLIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How the fuck am I supposed to take that? Jerk just posted an Amazon.com cheat and "It also plays on PS3" give it an ambiguity as to where the fuck I'm supposed to be downloading it, and if I should/could be using the PS3 browser. Nice idea, but seems like it might not catch on. On top of the ability for a monopoly (which no one likes), there's also the ability to push graphics card makers out of business. If everyone is just using OnLive's ability to stream the graphics to the home, no one will go out and buy cards anymore.

MAG makes the most sense from a logistical sense, but GT5 is going to sell way more. Could be both, but my bet would be on MAG

Nah, it's GT5. Remember a few years ago when it was announced that GT5 would ship with like 20 cars and 2 tracks, and you could download the rest (and if you did, it would cost around $1,000 plus the game)? Yeah, I think it's going to be the same thing. Plus you got that GT Channel for all you racing fags out there.

* A game that came out in 2009 with a 2 in the title will have the third iteration come out in 2010 (Killzone 3, Left 4 Dead 3, Uncharted 3, Assassin's Creed 3, Modern Warfare 3?)
Another rumour that KZ3 was accidentally confirmed by some dutch people. But with things being the way they are, I wouldnt be surprised to see quite a few third releases. In fact, other than Uncharted 3, I would probably bet a sizeable amount of money that every one of the games you listed will be released before the end of the 4th quarter in 2k11

Forgot Resistance 3. Remember that billboard that was put up for some shitty movie? Yeah, it's been heavily rumored that a 2010 Q4 release was in the works.

If not Resistance, then MW3.

* Microsoft is trying really hard to get Natal to a $49.99 price point. In order to do this, Ellis is hearing that they are "stripping or neutering" the processor. This would mean that the 360's internal processor would have to do most of the work, meaning the full 360 would not be able to be utilized in a Natal-centric game.
So basically it would be relegated solely to casual games and menu navigation just like Pachter predicted? That actually really sucks.

Think about it. How the fuck you would control any regular game with it? How would you move in a Gear of War? For that matter, how would you shoot? This will end up just being an overhyped EyeToy.

Also, it sometimes feels like no one ever talks here, we just seem to talk over one another. Neogaf is fucking boring.

It's mainly just TheMaster making dinosaur/Doctor Who related jokes, BFS posts some news that most people ignore/don't really care about, Jerk pops his head in every once in a while to tell us all how much we sucked compared to him, and scetch will come in and give us the number of copies of Sonic Unleashed sold on the PS3 and 360 in Mongolia last month to prove that the PS3 is superior. That, or he'll talk about what shitty games he's trading in for even shittier games and start some kind of argument that he'll eventually lose.

The rest of us just sit in the corner and hopes that one of guys I mentioned remembers to feed us.

If you haven't spent that money, I'd wait until around Wednesday of next week to buy the games. By then, Gamestop will have a bunch of games sold to them from kids who didn't want it. You'll be able to pick up practically new games from much cheaper than if you went to the store.

Also, Best Buy and Gamestop will have a bunch of returns, so they'll be having an after Christmas sale to clear some shelf space.

So, what did everyone get?

My Christmas was a bit more practical this year; underwear, pajamas, gloves, giftcards for more clothes, and giftcards for gas. Frivolous items included a Watchmen DVD (although I was trying for the Blu-ray), Uncharted 1, and a Heavy Rain pre-order.

That's a bit hyper critical of the WiFi in the PS3. I've had my PS3 for 2 years and have never had a problem with WiFi. Granted, my connection does get a little slower when I'm in my basement, but my router is on the other side of the house, and above ground. But overall, I don't have any problems with it dropping my signal or having a bad connection (except, like I said, when I'm in my basement, and even then it's at 60-70% strength).

Personally, I'd go WiFi, unless you're A) right next to the modem or B) Don't mind having a 466436134641321065463 foot cable running from your modem to your PS3.

Rather than sucking MW2's dick for the sweet semen that makes casual gamers run to the stores, MoH is going for a more realistic approach by setting it in Afghanistan and basing it on real events.
