I know how you can become a forum mod - by posting well and all that jazz - but what about audio, review, and icon mods? How do they show that they are mod worthy?

I'm just curious.

If your mom found your ng account and looked through your post history, what would happen?
What would you do?
What would you say to her?

What about if your friend found it?

Your girlfriend/boyfriend/hand?

Your teachers?

Discuss.

That's why!

I originally intended the title to be "why no use good enlglish" but I actually typoed "no" into "not".

My mind desires good grammar O_o

This is something that's always irked me.

Why don't people use proper english when they're typing on the internet? And I don't just mean using u instead of you or that type of thing. I know that's just because people are lazy.

I'm talking about the people who don't even use proper grammar.

Example:
i went to the store tob uy sum food nd then i saw my friend and i was like hi and he was like hi. and so then we went and we play video games like mgs4 and we had fun and looked at porn and stuff yeah.

Like, that's not even laziness and that's definitely not just lack of proofreading. How hard is it to use punctuation?

It just seems like these people go completely out of their way to try to use the worst english that they can. Why do they do this? Why? Ugh.

Enlighten me, someone.

lololol, you made <small spelling/grammar mistake> lololol irony

Die. >:(

Topic: Do old forum regs get longer bans?

Posted: 04/16/09 07:35 PM

Forum: General

I've been lurking on these boards for the shits and giggles for quite some time and I've always wondered:

Do users that post and have posted on these boards for a long time, like people with 8,000+ posts, get longer bans than people with like 500 or so posts, because they should know better? That is, given they aren't repeat offenders.

Like, if someone with 10,000 posts goes and posts a thread that's considered a spam thread and they get banned, is their ban longer than the guy with 500 posts that posted a spam thread and got banned?

Now, neither of these two people have an extensive, intense history of posting spam threads.

Because one would think they would, being that they've been around long enough to know better.

If they don't, should they?

Here's a question that I've been thinking about:

Which do you think would be harder to tell your parents, that you're gay or that you're into bdsm?

I guess it would be particularly bad if you were gay and into bdsm O_o

Here's something I've been thinking about lately as I've been reading flash reviews.

When you're marking a review as a helpful or useless, should the author's vote count more than others' votes?

Because only the author knows if the review is helpful or not for them.

Your opinion?

Topic: My religion thread.

Posted: 02/15/09 11:45 PM

Forum: General

Hi. My name is Kate and this is my religion thread.

This is the first paragraph where I'm going to tell you all about how much my belief rocks and how yours sucks. I'm going to tell you how stupid you are for not sharing my belief and I'm going back it up with logical fallacies and stuff I heard on the TV box.

This is the second paragraph where I'm going to go into more detail on my belief. Well, actually, it's what my parents believe, but I'm not going to admit that.

This is the third paragraph where I'm going to attempt to disprove your belief, but I can't because I don't know anything about it, so basically I'm just making shit up and plagiarizing wikipedia.

This is my conclusion where I praise myself and I urge you all to change your opinions to fit mine. Thank you for reading and I hope you've enjoyed my parents' beliefs.

No, seriously guys, shut up. Your religion or lack there of is probably not 100% right. Nobody knows what's out there, so stop pretending you do. People can have their own beliefs and quite frankly, what they believe does not affect you. Hating other people for their beliefs does not make your beliefs any more right. Jesus.

Topic: Why do people watch hentai?

Posted: 01/30/09 04:22 PM

Forum: General

Well, everyone likes different things, really.

People say it's sad to watch drawn women because you can't fuck a picture, but, you're most likely not going to have sex with a porn star, either and, you probably wouldn't want to.

Most porn stars are really, with all due respect, people will no dignity.

So, it goes both ways.

At 1/23/09 11:17 PM, Michaelas10 wrote: That statement is true, on some level, but not very logical in modern times as explained in this thread. Plus there are some exceptions, like people who are schizoid. Who is society to decide for those people when they should or should not be happy? Meh, all I'm trying is to be myself.

If someone isn't interested in being social, then society doesn't really have any influence on them. Therefore, there's not really anything to complain about.

Besides, schizoid is a disorder, not a normal personality.
