Forum: Where is / How to?

Too many looking for a flash threads, thought i'd make a challenge, i'm looking for 2
one is a video of a 3d animation of this machine that has letters and keeps rolling them to write the lyrics with the song "Work it harder make it better something faster makes us stronger"

and another one is older, it's 4 blob like thingies singing acapella, one's doing a bass drum, one's an alto etc.
Where the bass swallows the little hihat one

Who accepts the challenge?

There's ya problem xD
Seriously though, do you want to reinstall, or UPDATE your system?

Upgrade to Windows 7, it says not enough memory (500 gigs of free space) then when i tried to just install, i should get my list of drives to choose from, it was empty, that's when i realized, tried computer management, it was the same emptiness, everything else worked fine

For example if you put trace("keyDown"); under your up = true; code then it will only trace when the up key is pressed, and not the whole time that (up) is true.

What none of you seem to understand is i already understand this code, and that i wrote it myself.
and actually using it for other keys, but in the UP key i just want the AS3 equivalent for the onKeyPress();
or w/e it was in AS2, don't really know.

var J:Number = 0;
var up:Boolean = false;
function checkUPKey(event:KeyboardEvent) {
	if (event.keyCode == 38) {
		up = true;
	}
}
function checkKeyUP (event:KeyboardEvent){
		if (event.keyCode == 38) {
		event.keyCode = 0;
		up = false;
	}
}

function huge_fucking_function(event):void {
	if (up) {
		J +=1;
		trace(J);
	}
}
stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, checkUPKey);
stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_UP, checkKeyUP);
stage.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, huge_fucking_function);

this is my code in AS3
Copy paste it into your flash and notice how it traces as long as you keep the UP key pressed, i don't want that, i want it to add and trace with every key press

bear in mind that the huge_fucking_function has all the other movement codes in it.

'<' and '>' are the default back and forth hotkeys for flash.
If you want to advance in your frames without having to hold the >, you can hit enter to play and enter again to stop wherever you want.
Hotkeys are you friends and will save you a Hell lot of time once you get used to them.

That how it works for Platformers?
and...basically everything with more than 1 copies of an object?

Previous attempts have failed, so I'm asking here.
If I wanna make many copies of one MC on stage, with one instance name, and hitTest my player dude with all of them as a newb i figured it'd work, but it only worked with one copy.
How do I do it?
How do I get around having to write a million hitTests for my dude to be able to stand on every ground there is?

So, yeah, that means every coder here on NG uses a different hitTest for every single symbol on his flash, OR no one reads a thread till the end.
Pick one NG

So i got a question about HitTesting.
let's say i got a couple copies of "Object2" laying around waiting to be touched.
if i touch them with object1 only 1 copy works, the others don't.
How do I apply 1 hitTest to more than one copy of the object?
