I honestly think that Nirvana would haven't gone with the trends. It wasn't how Kurt worked, although there music would Bleach, Nevermind, and In Utero, (sorry if wrong spelling), all sound entirely different. I like to think that each album we would not no what to expect.

Why do you need so many frets? Do you really ever play notes that high up the fretboard? There'd only be like four notes on the highest string that you couldn't use.

I actually do, a lot of my solos lead up to twenty two frets, which is why I have been playing my acoustic for now.

I recently am starting to see a decline in the performance of my old bass guitar, and was hoping to see if anyone had any ideas for a new one. I play a lot of punk rock and metal, but also want a guitar that can deliver a clean sounds to. I would prefer a guitar with twenty two frets or more.
