Sorry -Gooie-, but PCHoliday owned you on this issue. :/
What the hell are you talking about? He didn't prove a thing. In fact, none of this is related to the topic!
Hmm, this was all about a Judge who wants to save Christmas, but now it’s about my personal beliefs. That’s fun.

It's all ridiculous...
Not really
You want free speech? Ok. You don't have to then get on everyones case about 'Merry Christmas'. You have your free speech. What makes yours better, or more appropriate, then the next guy?
Yeah, okay, but I said nothing about it.
It didn’t make anything more complicated at all. You just don’t buy and put up Christmas decorations at state installations. It makes sense. Unless you want to be fair and celebrate every holiday as it was intended, stripping them of the commercialism, dogma, and glowing lights, then sure, celebrate all of them.
"The divide between what is deemed offensive and what is not is becoming blurred and yet more defined.":
it isn’t blurred at all.
Everyday it seems as if we are getting something 'controversial' thrown at us. Let's go with how you tell people to have a good holiday...
Some groups want to hear Happy Holidays rather then Merry Christmas because it is offensive.
I don’t celebrate Christmas, so I don’t give a care.
What makes Merry Christmas offensive? It's not like I just forced you to believe in Christ. I'm wishing you a happy holiday in the way I was taught to do so, and I think it is fine.
If you’re wishing someone a ‘happy holiday’, then say it! You said it yourself. Drop the Christian crap and say happy holidays, unless you don’t care and you’re saying it to avoid a bigger conversation.
Perhaps I find 'Hapy Holidays' offensive because the word 'Happy' denotes gay
Little kids are happy when they get a Nintendo DS in their stockings on Christmas. Therefore, all happy children are gay, yet sad children are straight.
Maybe I am a homophobe. I am now offended, and because of my rights, I demand that it be thrown away.
Homophobes = Atheists and other non-believers of God? Great correlation.
Okay, what if I’m gay and I hate the British idiom “fag” for cigarettes?
Oh well, but it isn’t a religious-themed word. Like Christmas, which is about, OMG, Christ; Jesus.

Allow me to set you straight.
I highly doubt a stoner is going to tell me what’s right and wrong.
Again, why did this have to turn into a religion topic? It was really about the Judge, and the rest was all me having fun with their ideology. Sorry if I wasn’t clear enough.
Are we? More like we are temporarily trading a bit of civil liberty for a bit of security, which is commonplace in wartime.
Don’t get a jaded liberal-demon started about that.
I would ask you to reevaluate your position if you're so concerned about civil liberties.
When the “leader of the free world” lies to everyone on countless occasions, you kinda stop believing him. Don’t be coy, you know the patriot act was bullshit. That doesn’t have anything to do with my views of civil liberties and how we’ve lost our rights.
No, that's not true. How are Jews oppressed?
Fox News. Seriously.
Don't they own the media, and Hollywood?
How’s that for continuing the stereotype?
Muslims, granted, are in more of a pickle today because we are at war with radical Islam. But you can't honestly tell me that a little suspicion after September 11th is natural, if not justified.
No. I’m not John Q. Public, so I don’t believe that every Arab is a radical who wants to blow shit up. But, if everyone took time off to observe (or have a chance to learn more about their holidays since we focus so much on the Christian ones), the people would understand that better.
What about Hindus? They aren't oppressed.
Hindus = Terrorists, or at least that’s what I’ve seen
Face it, buddy, the only religion that you can impune or insult in this country with only a minor backlash is Christianity, particularly Catholicism.
Yeah, because they’re caught up in their hypocrisy, lies, and scandals.
You can say that Christians are a bunch of hicks who live in the South
Evangelicals. Nuff said
Are you complaining about time off? Huh. That's strange.
How is that strange? I like school. I don’t mind working. Why, do you hate your classes? Maybe you should change your major.
And Hollywood is one of the great alienators of society
Usually, that’s the Christian side of the media with the bias, but that’s not 100%. But when I watch the credits and see a Christian-based company, and seldom, if never, an uninfluenced one, you start to think that the “Jews of Hollywood” that everyone talks about aren’t spewing the bullshit.
I disagree entirely. Singing Jesus songs is not forced assimilation. Refusing to allow all cultures to reflect themselves, even the majority culture, is forced assimilation.
Why should we sing Christmas songs if we don’t want to? I was sent to the Principals office every time I didn’t want to sing some Christmas song. How is that fair? I know that isn’t the only case. If someone doesn’t care for the beliefs of others and politely announces that they do not want to participate, then it is only fair that we can go quietly and do something else, correct? I didn’t go to school to celebrate a religion, which I found to be flawed, hypocritical, and immoral. I went to learn about Math and History; fields of study based on fact, not the writings of some monk who proclaimed that Jesus was, in fact, our Lord and savior.
But what do I know? Those are my feelings on the subject of religion, which I’m not here to talk about. I’m talking about how the right is saying that assigning this Judge will save Christmas and that the liberals, apparently, destroying the holiday.
