This one seems a little suspicious.

At first glance, it looks like a legitimate entry, it has an extensive description in the Author's Comments, and a legitimate looking loading screen. Then it happens. "Error! This game is not available for distribution yet." I don't know about you, but this is an immediate red flag for me. It might very well be a sitelock feature that was triggered. Whether it was done by a mistake by the "author" or as a legitimate result of theft is beyond me. So, I decided to turn to you guys for assistance, what do you think? Also, I managed to get a screenshot of the loading screen showing what may be the creator's name and online alias.

I've just finished reporting the entry to Wade, a bit of a shame that the entry passed judgment, but I suppose it might have something to do with the fact that it was posted in the dead of night, when most of the more sensible Newgrounders have gone to bed apparently.

Response to: The Elite Guard Barracks Posted December 13th, 2011 in Clubs & Crews

This.

I have an inkling that this entry might be against Newgrounds policy. Could an Elite Guard or other person with considerable experience take a look into the matter and return their thoughts on this?

Response to: The Elite Guard Barracks Posted December 8th, 2011 in Clubs & Crews

This entry is most likely stolen:

The original video has been on YouTube for years now. Also of note, the "author" admits to using a video converter service to make it possible to post this video on Newgrounds. In addition, a watermark is clearly visible in the entry that provides additional proof that this entry was simply ripped from YouTube. Side by side comparison also reveals that the 2 usernames, the NG account, and the YouTube account, do not match. This entry is highly suspicious, and given the circumstances, most likely stolen.

Still haven't seen the new episode yet on account of waiting for an ideal high quality upload. My offline archive accepts only the finest in audio and visual quality you know. Speaking of which, the raw 720p is now available in Mp4 format at PonyArchive. I suspect the color corrected version will be along soon.

People have been spamming the reviews saying it's stolen.

Don't you hate it when they pass judgment? A message has been sent to Wade explaining the incident.

This may or may not be what you are looking for, but this is the only image I could find thus far that contained both cats and a wall of text AND had absolutely nothing to do with Hello Kitty.

White lines on the edge of a section are not enough, and can be attributed to anything, most notably a low quality cut of an actual legitimate flash or the author's own personal mistakes with the program. Also, making assumptions about a flash does not create a persuasive whistle report. I don't think you really understood me before; no matter how much you feel that it's stolen, you need hard proof in the form of links.

Pray tell, Kaizer, have you even taken one look at Bmaster123's profile? I wouldn't have expected you to, but by simply looking at all of his submissions, it is clear that something is amiss.
I have taken the time to search, or at least attempt to, for the original links and what I've found should come across as fairly solid evidence. Shall I list off all the videos he's stolen, the links to his entries and their original YouTube counterparts? I think it should be an enlightening experience for some of us:

But of course, evidence has already been obtained for those last two, thanks again to DiMono for tipping me off, nice job sir.

It doesn't matter if the author changed the titles for this website, you need to do your best to find SOMETHING. It doesn't look convincing when a whistle message says"Oh, well, I can't find a link to the actual game, but.. you know, there is this this and this wrong that makes it stolen". If you think about it, you wouldn't really trust a whistle like this one. They get submitted all the time, for flashes that are legitimate or not.

Well, like mostly everyone else on Newgrounds, I do not necessarily have all day to be chasing ghosts or rating flash submissions, I'm only one guy you know, and my time here is not without limit, I'm afraid.

Excellent work, DiMono, job well done on hunting that one down. And yes, Emm, I think PMing Wade with details of the situation would be the best move. This issue must be confronted aggressively.

Response to: Newgrounds Police Dept. Posted November 25th, 2011 in Clubs & Crews

Wow, Emm, kind sir, thanks for pointing out Portal Guard, now I can keep up to date on the Judgment section without having to be on Newgrounds constantly...not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. Also, I strongly suspect that these entries are stolen, given that the "author" has a history of uploading stolen YouTube videos.

Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the original source, which would've truly sealed the deal on this case, which I suspect means that the "author" is on to us, and therefore changed the titles of his stolen entries so that identifying the original source will be much more difficult. Also, take note of the white borders on the left and right of all of his submissions, which I suspect are characteristic of the video-ripping program he uses. Why would the original creator of these videos have any reason to rip them using such crude means? No reason whatsoever, since the original creator should have the original Flash files and the means to upload them in top quality. He's obviously stolen videos once before, who's to say that he didn't do so again this time? I conclude that Bmaster123 is not the creator of these entries and therefore has stolen them.

Please identify... Posted November 24th, 2011 in Where is / How to?

I'm certain that the following flashes were ripped from some video hosting site somewhere, and I'm pretty sure that they are more likely than not stolen, given the fact that the "author" has stolen videos and posted them on Newgrounds in the recent past. The problem is that I can't find the original videos, which are needed as concrete evidence in the case of an submission theft, either because the "author" changed the names of his entries from the actual names of the original videos, or perhaps the material is obscure and not easily found. In any case, if anyone can identify the original videos, the series they are from, or any other relevant information that may be useful in successfully flagging these entries as stolen, please respond as soon as humanely possible.

Well, after surfing the web for a while, I eventually noticed that the ponies were everywhere. No, really, I couldn't go 10, no, 5 pages without something pertaining to MLP FiM popping up. I decided to research the fandom a bit, found a bit of praise here, some haters there, and, in about 3 weeks time since then, succumbed to collective pressure from peers and environment and tracked down the 1st episode. I, then, proceeded to watch the entire 1st season and what is currently out for the 2nd season over the course of 3 days. The fandom is truly awesome, hell, some well-known Flash artists have even taken part, like Max Giraldi, aka hotdiggedydemon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxAJqvslV 7M&ob=av3e

Looks like Bmaster123 is now a repeat offender, as this video is also ripped from YouTube and stolen from it's original author, one "elPivotMasterDX".

This entry is, without a doubt, stolen from YouTube, taking into consideration the low quality and the fact that the original video was posted nearly 4 years ago.

This entry is undoubtedly ripped and stolen from YouTube, considering the noticeable loss in quality and the fact that the original video was posted 3, nearing 4, years ago.

Is This Illegal? Posted November 21st, 2011 in Where is / How to?

This entry contains an image of what appears to be actual human corpses lined up together in a row. So anyway, we all know that the rules established in the FAQ are pretty vague, but does "illegal" extend to images of actual, more or less bloodied, human corpses? Or does it strictly apply to images of people or animals being harmed and/or killed? What do YOU think?

If it's stolen and we can get one flagged, they won't be able to submit - then I'll let Wade know when I'm home from the office.

Anywho, whistled, taking a look at the video, you can clearly see the words, near the beginning, in perfectly visible blue text: "The following videos were stolen without permission." That's the most straightforward confession I've seen yet.

The "Author" confesses to ripping this from YouTube in the Author Comments. Furthermore, the method used to obtain the file, the quality of the entry (or lack thereof), and the fact that the username from the "Author" on Newgrounds doesn't match up with the username on YouTube in the slightest, strongly suggests that this entry was stolen.

Original YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiQp9Kae7 QM

WARNING: This submission is disturbing in nature and contains images of human corpses, as well as images of acts of suicide/wound self-infliction. Although the submission rules are a little vague, would YOU consider this in violation of Newgrounds policy? I know I would, but I want to be sure before blowing the whistle.

Response to: The Elite Guard Barracks Posted November 21st, 2011 in Clubs & Crews

This submission contains images of what appear to be actual human corpses and images that depict/encourage acts of suicide and self-inflicted wounds. And the title of the submission is "Kill Yourself Slowly" by an author of the exact same username, which suggests that this submission was posted knowingly in violation of Newgrounds policy and with malicious intent.

Not to worry, I've taken the liberty of contacting Wade. Given the evidence we have access to now, including the testimony from the original author on DeviantArt, this matter will most likely be resolved in our favor.

Nope, I just contacted the author on DeviantArt, who concurs, this submission is indeed stolen.
http://animated.deviantart.com/art/BonEd -8083231 By viewing the comments near the top, you'll see that the author replied to my inquiry, stating that the "author" here on Newgrounds did indeed steal the submission in question.

In any case, I have sent an email to Wade explaining the situation, and have issued my sincere apologies to both Wade and mikbobgames for this enormous misunderstanding. Hopefully, this incident will sort itself out, we will see a fully-functional version of mikbobgames' game out in the portal, and in a week, maybe two weeks time, this whole thing will just be a memory to sit around the campfire and chuckle about.
