I'm making a quiz game in flash and long story short...

When i test the game out all the buttons work if i click them etc. and every frame has a 'stop();' command on it.

However, if i press enter while testing it, it automatically advances my quiz to the next frame. Is this meant to happen or is this some bug? and if so is there anyway i can fix it?

taken out the .text bit, put in the trace bit... still getting nothing

is Box the instance name or variable?

put a trace on the start of the function doing this:
trace(_root.Box.text)

Box is the variable

tried that... still nothing.

This is what my code looks like now, maybe i entered it wrong or somthing..

if (_root.Box.text == "2" || _root.Box.text == "two") {
gotoAndPlay (2);

This is just a practice for me, just so i can familiarise myself with flash.

'Box' is the text box where you write the answer. 'gotoAndPlay (2);' is the win frame and 'gotoAndStop (3'); is the lose frame. But no matter what i type in it always goes to frame 2. Is this because it is not recognising the text box, or what is being written in it?

And so basically what should happen is if you get it right it takes you to frame 2, if you get it wrong you go to frame 3.
However, no matter what i type in it always goes to frame 3 (wrong answer).

What's wrong here?

well, to just help a bit it could be because that he DLed something illegally, they dont catch you much but i once got a call from my ISP warning me about a movie i downloaded

Hey, don't shoot the messenger. I'm just doing what he asked me to do. I've already told him to contact his ISP.

My friend recently has had a problem with his interet.

Whenever he loads up a browser, he gets the message

'Your account has been blocked please contact your Internet Service Provider.'.

And his internet isn't completly broken because he is still able to get onto msn, and he can still play online games, but with unusually high latency.

The wireless router seems fine, and he gets a strong connection from it so i don't think it's that.

It just seems to be the browser.

Also every computer or laptop connected to the wireless router experiences this problem. (no browser but msn works fine etc.)

Any ideas why this has happened or how to fix it?

oh and apparently you could swim and create your own levels, in which you could place water etc.

My friend and I were talking on MSN and she told me about this online game we used to play ages ago, but said she couldnt remember what it was called etc.

As far as i can tell from what we both remember. It was a game where you were a stick figure and you 'bounced' around collecting things. Also its colour scheme was like that of N game apparently.

This game was around at least 7 years ago.

I'd appreciate any ideas you guys/gals can think of!!

I know it's not alot to go on but there are a fair few members on here so who knows!

3GB RAM
1680x1050 22" monitor (16:9 aspect ratio, not sure about contrast ratio).
Not sure about motherboard, but has 1xPCI-e, 3xPCI,
Also has 8 USB slots and a multicard reader built in

Anyone have any ideas on prices? (we're talking Great British pounds here btw)

I have saved it in My Pictures and when i set it as my background it works, but only in tiled mode for some reason. I really dont want this picture tiled, i want it centered. Any ideas why it only sets it tiled or how i can fix it?

The reason u get morning wood is because when you wake up, you breath more heavily, and so your heart pumps blood faster around your body to compensate for more oxygen. And so more blood goes downstairs and u get morning wood.

I'm really hoping to buy windows 7 soon, it's actually looking alright, the reveiws are good, and to be honest, i just want somthing different / more modern than XP which is installed at the moment.

But this is my problem. Windows being windows, they wont allow you to simply upgrade from XP to windows 7, only from vista to W7. Probably as a kind of punishment for not going for Vista, even though its resource hungry, constantly updating personality would have driven me insane and probably not done my computer too well.

Anyway, back to the point. I dont really want to wipe my HDD, as it contains around 220GB of all of my stuff ranging from games and work to general crap.

Anyway, back to the point. The best idea i could see to get around this is to buy a new HDD.
(my one at the moment is getting a bit full. Only 20GB free roughly).
Then install windows 7 onto this one, then transfer all my files from my old HDD to my new one.

But when i copy the files, will all of my microsoft programs (like MS word etc.) which i legitimatly own, copy across properly and work?

Also, is this the best solution or is there a more simple way which i have somehow managed to miss?

Any ideas / solutions, and even thoughts about windows 7 or previous MS OS's would be great!
