Well look.. I think I know why most of the NG listeners will degrade hip hop.. because 70% of the stuff on the hip hop section sucks. If you look at our top page.. we got freaking scrubs who uses FL7 soundpacks up the ass *NO HOMO* and make the top 50. I'd say instead of blaming NG for hating us.. I'd say blame ourselves for making the scrub producers give an example of hip hop on the modern section.
I'd say we all quit whining about NG this and that.. and make better music to make it to the top. But yeah.. most of you will respond saying "The people who don't have beef always make it to the top" or "I got people who downvote all my tracks because they pwn".. if that's the case.. freaking get support, call up your fan/listeners.. and have them "fairly vote" your songs. End of story.. now lets all stfu and make music.

thats really the only thing I have a problem with in the voting system. How come we get voting power baesd on votes directed towards flashes, but no points for voting on audio? I think everyone's voting power should be just equal then. But its all good.

Yeah, you hit it on the dot.. but another thing is.. they should make it so you can block a user from voting your music.. because either way you put it when you get downvoted.. noones going to sit there and search for your song in the 15th page.

They should at least show the users that vote your song anything lower than a 3.

THIS HAS BEEN BUGGING ME FOR THE LONGEST.

I (in my opinion) think the voting system is.. umm.. a lil.. unbalanced. I've been observing lately.. When someone votes your song "0" it dramatically drops. But if someone votes it a "5" it increases by a little bit.

I need some feedback, from people that agree and disagree.

If you disagree with the "voting system being unbalanced" PLEASE explain what makes it fair in full details.

If you agree with me please tell me "experiences with the system" or "anything on your head that makes you come to the conclusion to claim the voting system is unbalanced".

Because I want to get to the bottom of this. =| I got these same haters downvoting my tracks, and i don't think it seems fair. (IN ADDITION) NG should add something to prevent someone from voting your music.

Cuz (sry for the bad language) I hate seeing my songs being rated 0 without someone reviewing my track telling me all the reasons why this song deserved a 0.

I say why argue?? This topic won't make a difference. It's only going to have more people show their ignorance about hip hop. Of course the majority of NG users don't like Hip Hop, and that's just how it is. (Trust me, I've made a post kinda like this and got the same "BullShmit" from other users.) Hip Hop isn't ment for this site.. the "crowd" prefers techno. (EXAMPLE) That's like us going to a rock concert and asking everybody "Why don't like Hip Hop?"

Omfg!! I was working on my track, and I saved it. Then once I closed fruity loops and reopened it. Everything in that File was gone, But not "everything". The VSTs and Soundfronts I had in the song never played a sound and the FX and EQing I did in the mixer has vanished. The weird thing is, I still see the layout of the melodies, I done with the VST's and Soundfronts but there is no sound. The only thing that works is my drumsets and stuff not relating to VST's and Soundfronts.

If any of you had this problem or know a way of fixing this please help!!!

Heh.. i see where you coming from. But you must understand.. not all hip hop is like that. Trust me. Yes, Hip hop is easy to make.. but on my note.. it's hard for me.. because I do more than just add a crappy drumset with pumped bass and a crappy synth to it. If you listen to my music, I'm 99.9% original (I'm strongly against sampling but heh..everyone samples once in a while). The only songs I sampled was the kingdom hearts theme and F.O.D. kirby theme. But that's about it.. My goal is to motivate the hip hop listeners so they can produce something new, and convert other listeners to Hip Hop. So before you go off hating on hip hop.. just listen, to my music.. to poetic-reven's music, to War-Spawn's music. So you can know not all hip hop ain't bad.

The battles seem pointless though, because either way you put it.. noone is going to look at it cuz all battles end up getting 0'd and down to the bottom of the list. So it's basically the person with the most friends who can rate his song up and review wins. I've seen it happened alot.

Yeah the new artist are dragging down the Hip Hip community, but the underground hip hop is what lives. That's why i'm saying don't think mainstream hip hop is like all hip hop. Because while people like soulja boy are getting signed, who knows.. maybe greeksta can get signed.. maybe zajed.. maybe me. and we could change the meaning of hip hop.
