Response to: Sleep Paralysis? Posted April 23rd, 2013 in General

It happened to me twice, the first time I was in panic, I could see my room just as you could, but I couldn't even have a reasonable thought, the only thing I could do was trying to shake myself awake, even though nothing would happen, I ended up throwing myself against the wall when I could finally get out of that state. The second time I got out of that state pretty fast, so I can barely remember it, it was scary anyway.

Response to: how much do you hate school Posted April 23rd, 2013 in General

I don't actually hate it, I just dislike the subjectivity of the exams, I mean, I don't fuck up at school, but I hate the way I succed through it, learning loses all its beauty when it comes to massive studying, I love learning and I do absorb knowledge and information with a passion, but studying is just an absorption and flush method, I'm more than a number, or a letter in the case of the american system.

Yes, I did.

Then I am an astonishingly delicious döner kebab, although I may not look that delicious due to the dubious conditions of the place where I was once prepared, I may rest now in my own stomach and launch an attack to my sphincter with a tremendous diahrrea. The unforgettable taste I leave in my mouth is worth the pain though. (The last sentence could be applied to an homossexual tale, I know.)

I just found these guys yesterday:
Stöner Kebab - Superdoom

I haven't been around here for a while so I don't know if anyone mentioned them before, but these guys are pretty epic, really good psychedelic and massive sound, I haven't found something so good in this genre since Bongripper, plus, their name is astoundingly hilarious. If you enjoy some good stoner doom and never heard about these guys you certainly should check them out. Enjoy!

Hey, I just wanted to ask you guys to check this demo I recorded and uploaded here on newgrounds, from my project A Lifetime Dying. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/532193 Really hope you like it, any opinions are very helpful, since I don't get to have many people listening to my stuff.

If you were to be dropped on an island with 15 albums of your choice and that those would be the only records you could listen to for the rest of your life, what would they be (Not just metal albums, anything of any genre).

And if you guys are like me, you most probably saved that list somewhere on your hard drive :P So what I wanted to do today was to ask you guys to make a new list, and not look at your previous list and when you are done, compare your choices and post them in here. I was wondering if the choices I made back then, would have been good choices, and of course, if I end up with the same albums... it will mean that they were relatively good choices!

So, if you'd like to particapte, feel free to do so! Here's my new list.

Cult of Luna - Eternal Kingdom
Alice In Chains - Dirt
Baroness - Yellow & Green
Insomnium - Across the Dark
Bongripper - Satan Worshipping Doom
Lamb of God - Ashes of the Wake
Gojira - The Way of All Flesh
Mastodon - The Hunter
Opeth - Watershed
Protest the Hero - Fortress
Tool - 10000 Days
Alcest - Ão/oocailles de Lune
Corpus Christii - Rising
Keith Merrow - The Arrival
Nirvana - In Utero

Too hard to choose...

Response to: God vs. God not existing Posted June 17th, 2012 in General

There is no way to determine if there is a god or no, and, in my opinion, faith is ridiculous, and I'm not talking just about faith in god, but also faith in his non-existence, it's non-sense to believe in something just because someone else told me so without evidence, only a child can believe in something like almost irrefutably, and religion being such a comforting thing when it comes to death, then children will grow and as they grow, the cancer that religion is grows them. Me, being an agnostic, I prefer to admit that I just don't know the answer, but still, I don't have much hope in god's existence, and if there is a god, he's unrighteous and probably evil, otherwise there would be peace and no suffering. The world would be a perfect place with a benevolent God, I wish there was a God like that as Christians say, but I just can't believe in such thing.

Hey guys, haven't been here for a while, but I had nothing to do so I decided to say hi. Still into Post-Sludge, I don't remember who told me about Mouth of the Architect, but they rule! Still... I'm unable to find any band surpassing Cult of Luna haha.

I saw Mastodon and Metallica some days ago, I also had to see Sepultura and Evanescence... Damn... Evanescence just didn't fit there! Also Mastodon should be the headliners, but obviously that would never happen playing with Metallica in such a poopy festival and I'm still waiting to see Mastodon live and have some Crack the Skye, Blood Mountain and Leviathan to please my ears...
I'm sorry, but I must admit, I enjoyed watching Metallica because I've never seen them before, Hetfield is such a charismatic guy and they have a great show I must confess.
Anyway, Mastodon playing before Evanescence? Disgusting, Evanescence is just horrible and boring, I never really gave them a listen because their style just seemed unatracttive to me, but damn they suck... Every song sound exacly the same *drummer drumming hard* *bass* *annoying singing* *occasional chug chug chug*. But Mastodon... Loved them! I was a little disappointed because they just played The Hunter's songs, except Crystal Skull and Blood and Thunder... But... I must admit that at that point the only songs I've listened from The Hunter were Black Tongue and Curl of the Burl, so I felt a little bit lost, watching one of my favourite bands and only recognizing 4 songs... The reason I never gave a listen to The Hunter before was because I disliked Black Tongue and Curl of the Burl, they just didn't work for me so I never felt like getting the album... But when I heard Dry Bone Valley, Stargasm, Octopus has no Friends, All the Heavy Lifting and Thickening, The Hunter became one of my favourite albums of all time, and now I even like Black Tongue and Curl of the Burl!

I also want to show you guys my project A Lifetime Dying, here is the song Ionization, hope you guys like it, I don't know how to describe this project, I'm trying to explore Sludge, Melodic Death, Black, Doom and do something very personal, does it fit in Post-Metal? Well, doesn't really matter, I'm just composing with my heart and doing whatever I want. I know the singing is a little bit shitty, but I'm working on that, and the bass is nothing special aswell because I can't find a bass player and I've never played bass before.

12. Alcest - Ão/oocailles de Lune

I remember you, dude.

Sup' guys, I'm turning into a post-sludge lover or wtv it is, listening to bands like Cult of Luna, Pelican, Omega Massif and Fire Walk With Us.
Check out Isis, Wiht, and Neurosis.

I'm also finally getting into Dream Theater with the album Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory.
That's a great album, but their best stuff is Images and Words, a Change of Seasons, and Awake.

I love Isis, and I've already heard of Neurosis, but I need to give them a proper listening. Never heard of Wiht, but I'm going to check them.

I will surely check those Dream Theater albums aswell someday

ISIS would definitely fit your tastes, than. I will also recommand Mouth Of The Architect. They are a rather young band and their music isn't well-known. They play an unique blend of Sludge, Doom, Post-Rock and even Post-Hardcore. And yes, the Post-Hardcore influences are felt through their music, and strangly enough, it doesn't suck.

I'm also finally getting into Dream Theater with the album Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory.
You don't like Images & Words? :O

Quo Vadis - Hunter/Killer

As I said, I love Isis aswell. And I will check Mouth Of The Architect as soon as I can, I love post-rock.

And I'm seeing I must really check out Images & Words.

Humanfly are a great band within this genre that nobody has heard of so you can be a glorious hipster like me.

They sound great! Pretty intense, I love the atmosphere they create, but I just don't like the voice very much. Sounds a lot like Cult of Luna aswell.

Insomnium
Opeth
Gojira
Black Sun Aeon
Alcest
Lamb of God
Meshuggah
Bongripper
Children of Bodom
Animals As Leaders
