Could you post an example? That'd make it way easier for us to help you.

I don't think you can, if I were you I'd just make my own background on a different layer.

This, from Preston Blair's great Cartoon Animation book, might help. Watching yourself talking in front of a mirror is also really helpful for lip sync.

Response to: Creature Of The Week #63 Posted June 6th, 2009 in Art

First time I really try to color something on photoshop, so I think this turned out decent. That liquid rainbow took quite awhile, but I'm pretty happy with it, since I had no idea how I was going to make it when I started. Also, please focus on the creature and forgive my complete lack of skill and creativity for backgrounds :P.

I cropped part of this version so newgrounds wouldn't shrink it, so make sure you check the full version here.

This funny dude is a Bulfus. When competing for females, Bulfuses spit this colorful liquid on the sky, creating what we know as rainbows. The bigger the rainbow is, the bigger his... well you know.

You may also want to try Pose Maniacs, it's really good for practicing anatomy.

Yes, it was on purpose
So you did a mistake on purpose? it doesn't make sense at all. @_@

Gotta agree, Bitey looks REALLY weird with two left hands... I don't see why you'd do that on purpouse, and if it was a mistake, don't be afraid to admit it, we're nice people, we won't judge you. :P

Nice, I'd love to see an example of what you can do first though.

Response to: Creature Of The Week #61 Posted May 18th, 2009 in Art

Messing around on Flash for awhile...

Not sure if I'm happy with it though. Kinda looks too much like a regular dragon and isn't radioactive enough. I also got lazy when doing the background. :P

Anyway, check out the full and better quality pic, and maybe expect another creature from me. :D

Yeah I know it looks kinda unfinished, but I suck at painting digitally and wouldn't have time to color it properly til sunday. Promise I'll work on more complete pieces for the next COWs, though!

Less than 15 minutes on photoshop. I should really start using it more often so I can actually do something with it, instead of just doodling :\. Original size.

Not even daily tenth? Meh, that's kinda disappointing... I really think it deserves a higher score. Anyway, I only saw one of my parts. Not sure I could find all the easter eggs though, so does anyone know if my second part is an easter egg?

ya know, all you have to do is when you go to "save as", change "flash CS3 file" to "flash 8 file"...

He must have CS4, which can't save as flash 8. Anyway, post a link for the .fla, so someone with CS3 will hopefully convert it and repost as soon as they see it.

Yeah well I hope not, after all SupaPeeves did add me as a portal buddy a while ago and I wasn't co-authored on the April Fool's flash.

Drawn and colored by shshsha, whose newgrounds' name we're not really sure, blending and a few details mostly by Vousielle. They had to leave though, so here it is. :)

I'm guessing you're talking about shape tweens? Are you sure the images you are using are vectorial? Otherwise I don't think it will work. Also make sure they are not symbols. I have Flash CS3 by the way, but CS4's shape tweens shouldn't be too different.
