Once I installed Linux (Debian) on a 2nd HDD I installed in my computer and Lilo would only boot Linux and my Windows CD wouldn't boot for some reason so I had to go to the shops and get 6 floppies so I could put the Windows recovery thing on them.

How to help you, put in your Windows CD, goto Recovery Console, type fixmbr, woot.

I solved my heat problem by re-applying the thermal compound between the cpu heatsink and the cpu. Now my Precott runs around 40 degrees under load. Woot

Mark my words, you will look back on this sentence and laugh. Very hard.

Probably, but today we did like 20 repetitive exercises on Goal Seek.

Does anyone by any chance have an LGA775 Prescott processor and an Abit AS8 or any other Abit board with uGuru. Because my heatsink/cpu fan is installed properly, it's in a Thermaltake VA3000SWA with two 12cm fans and a 9cm fan but, it works fine but Abit EQ says it is running between 80,90 and even 100+ degrees celcius while idle. So I'm not turning it back on until I know it is an incorrect reading. Otherwise I might go make some 2minute noodles on it.

Some of Borland's products are a bit pricy if you ask me. But if you ask an enterprise developer they'll probably disagree.

What's the most expensive piece of software you all have bought?

$700 is actually a fair price, if it is too expensive I suggest you purchase a dated version of Flash or as Jesus mentioned purchase it with your student discount. Anyway, real programming is better and (usually) cheaper than Flash.

Yeah, notepad owns. I use VS if I'm doing reasonably advanced ASP but otherwise I'll use notepad for all my html, css, xml, xsl, asp, etc. needs.
