I think the earth exploding is a hell of a lot more likely to happen than a communist party coming into power peacefully in a western nation. In the incredibly unlikely chance it did however, I can't really see much happening, at least in the US. A communist leader in the US would not only have to deal with the constitution, but public opinion and special interest groups as well.

America has a large, heterogenous population, in many ways this is a great thing, but on the other hand, a lot of our crime and the vast disparity in wealth between the poor and rich is caused by this as well. Like the Romans, the British, and the Chinese Empires before us, our status as superpower and desire to keep it has strained our foreign relations with the world, and has made Americans as a whole very insular(Europeans always laugh at how little Americans know about the outside world. The reason for that is because we just don't care about the rest of the world I think)

After playing WoW for a year, I am beyond sick of warcraft. I'm worried that blizzard is becoming too attached to warcraft though. They honestly seem to care way too much about the Lord of the Rings ripoff lore though. I'm still holding out hope for starcraft II though.

The lunar lander was capable of about 10,000 lbs of thrust, but you'd have to be retarded to be using that amount of thrust if you're planning on landing on something. The astronauts reduced power to the engines to about 3,000. if the nozzles on the engine are 54 inches across, that equates to an area of 2300 square inches, ergo only only around 1.5 lbs of thrust were exerted on the lunar surface as the craft landed. If the video was actually a hoax, you'd see long plumes of fire coming from the lander, but since there's no air on the moon, the exertion was much wider and less intense.
