Response to: Synfig Need Help Posted May 10th, 2013 in Animation

I have used Flash. Blender has become an alternative for most 3D programs with the only real competitor being Maya so why not Synfig. Its Stickman is awesome http://archive.org/details/SynfigCharacterTemplateTutorial

so i thought about what you said about blender replacing most 3d programs and you were right so i downloaded synfig and its the worst animation software i have ever used. im not to sure you have actualy used flash. what expirience do you actually have? have you ever actually made an animation? synfig is the worst program ever and anyone who likes it oubviously do not have flash. if you cant buy flash get something other than synfig because i just wasted so much of my time trying this crappy program. like i said the only good flash programs are macromedia adobe and toon boom. nobody should ever waist their time on this program

sadly i sort of agree, i mean the versus series is good and it does deserve to win awards, however, there are people who would have gotten their first award if it was not for the series. im not saying it should stop, but it should be uploaded way less.

Response to: i dont see advertisment? Posted May 4th, 2013 in Where is / How to?

It's up to the creator whether or not they want to include ads in a submission. For HTML5 games and MP4 submissions, there is also currently no way to include ads, but they're working on a solution for that.

The artist will still earn a little revenue from ads displayed on the submission page, outside the submission itself, but ad-revenue is a very small source of income for most people unfortunately. Best way to support an artist would be to donate or buy or follow them. :)

o sorry i should have cleard this up, i see a add box inside the flash but i dont see anything in the add box. like what i mean is there is adds in the flash but nothing is showing up if you know what i mean

Response to: 24 Frame Collab Posted May 3rd, 2013 in Collaboration

Trust me, as a senior in a bachelors of fine arts program taking 18 credits and working two jobs, I understand that people have other things to do. The issue I have is that the release date of this collab was initially March 17th.

The last entry was uploaded on March 18th... It's been about 6 weeks since then. Surely it doesn't take 6 weeks to create a UI, even if you are only working on it for 10 minutes a day or something.

Thus as I said earlier, if you are having trouble finishing the collab due to time constraints just pass it off to somebody else...

ya i kinda agree with that i mean other then the menus this shouldent take that long right? i could be wrong but the parts are only 1 seccond long.i could be compleatly wrong though, im just super exited

when i watch a movie alot of the times i dont see advertisment. does this mean the creator is not making money from me? i dont want to watch a movie without supporting the creator

No it will still be free and open source under GP. By commercial level I mean it will become a serious replacement to flash.

Yeah it is an alternative to flash. There is also an html 5 player that can play sif files being worked on http://www.synfig.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3835 and here https://github.com/haramanai/sifplayer

FLASH WILL NEVER BE REPLACED BY THIS HTML5 AND SINFIG CRAP. have you ever evan used flash? to me the only alternative to flash is toon boom wich i here alot of great stuff about.

The animation has a MAXIMUM of 30 seconds. It can be less.
