Just because AMD's processors have bigger numbers doesn't mean they are faster. Intel's 4770 is cheaper than that FX-9590, and it has a much lower clock rate and half the cores, but it still out-performs it.

I wish I had one of them there fancy schmancy self-driving cars.
People have always been fucked in the head, more so before than today. There's just a lot more exposure now.

The normal thing was, an organism adapts to its environment.
Humans do n ot do that anymore, humanity adapts the environment to them.
What do you mean? It is, on a basic level. An organism mutates, if that mutation ends up being beneficial for survival then that organism is more likely to pass on its genes to its offspring.
There was an ice age or some shit, a bear was born with white fur which made it blend in with its environment and increased its chances of survival, it fucked another bear, had some white babies, those babies fucked and had more white babies, a couple years pass and now we have polar bears.
Long-term it's basically a species adapting to its environment.
I think we're done naturally evolving since the advent of modern medicine. Too many cures and safeguards and such for natural selection to continue.
In a thousand years we'll probably just end up living in virtual reality. All of our brains & consciousnesses will be uploaded to indestructible supercomputers which will interface with all of our senses and we'll be able to imagine whatever the fuck we want into our "reality." All of humanity ends up in these new imagined worlds and everybody lives happily ever after.
But it turns out when you upload your brain onto a computer, your consciousness doesn't actually carry over. Your memories and thoughts and responses are still there, all evidence points to you being awake, but you're actually dead. You're not there, it's just the computer "experiencing" everything now. Our civilization turns itself into a collection of simulations and AI that thinks it's still human and awake.
But nobody's alive to give a fuck anyway.
Damn. I bet the previously-second-fattest guy in the world is feeling pretty fat now. He can no longer say "well at least I'm not as fat as that fatass."

These articles are written for people who aren't politically aware. If you are at all politically aware you'll realize that this is just typical right-wing fear-mongering propaganda bullshit. I mean, it's Ted fucking Cruz for god's sake.

Granted, there are no doors or windows in your house and the walls are made of fire and sharknadoes. So you can't enter it either. It's super secure though.

PC gaming has been steadily growing in popularity for the last few years and has overtaken console gaming in revenues.

The integrated graphics on Intel's most recent processors is powerful enough to play any modern game in HD at a decent framerate, and it's about to get a huge performance boost with their next-gen lineup. Not to mention AMD's APUs. Within the next few years most any PC on the market should be a decent gaming machine. You only need expensive, advanced hardware if you want to max shit out.

Would appreciate some feedback.
Overall I prefer Logic Pro.
Reason is probably my second favorite, it comes with some great built-in instruments and effects and it's fun to flip the rack around and re-route cables and everything but the lack of plug-in support is a deal-breaker. I think they have their own proprietary plug-in format that you can use now but I have too many other plug-ins I need.
Ableton Live is another great DAW, the session view interface is brilliant and it comes with some good instruments, but overall the UI just isn't really my cup of tea, and the sound quality of the audio engine doesn't seem to be as good as Logic's. This may just be in my head.
But yeah overall I think Logic has the best sound, some of the best instruments/effects, its UI is pretty easy to get around, and it's very powerful. I might end up switching over to Bitwig in the future though.

I'd like some feedback and suggestions on these two songs that I'm making. The first one is classical/ambient and it leads into the next one, which is more dancy and DnBish.

am-bi-ent
noun (also ambient music)a style of instrumental music with electronic textures and no persistent beat, used to create or enhance a mood or atmosphere.
Please keep that in mind when listening to this. Ambient music isn't supposed to be catchy or danceable, it's supposed to be ambient.

You won't like this if you don't listen to much ambient music. It's kind of in the style of Aphex Twin's "Selected Ambient Works, Vol. 2," so if you think "OMG this is like SOOOO boring!!!!" when you listen to that album, this song isn't for you. Also it really helps to have a decent set of headphones.
