Puppet-Lord... PLEASE stop talking with a cap starting at each word. It's really annoying me.

Shield... Redo it, so we can see your improvement from the hints of shadow other people have given you.

I rate it 2,221/10

Mmmmh... Background is okay, IF you put a decent pic on the foreground. It's too simple and liny... Like you were trying to make it look REALLY good.

If you're doing abstract, you should be tracing some outlines of
pics in magazine (eg.perfume, people, curtains...)
Then you can put them over each other, and colour the shapes those lines will form.

Response to: Critisize me captain! Posted April 28th, 2007 in Art

Haha, enjoyed your first pic and also the Escher-related one. If you werent going for realistic, they're really nice! I suggest stepping out of the old-fashioned style.

Good, but not very original...
I really like it though! You're good in scanning things (believe me, i found it hard to scan well!!!)
and you should especially focus on originality, as absurd as it sounds, you can train it! You must consantly be making jokes in your head, and it'll come slowly.

I want you to draw me... a flying pig

Sorry for my last post being so short, but I was typing and had to stop...
Your head isn't in proportion but every time you fail at something, will win in your next pic. To all who said it looks weird from closed up view, if she didn't post a link, you would haven't noticed. She has a good idea of starting big for adding good details and making it smaller afterwards. Also, i agree with the shading problem but I suggest a solution. Paint a small spot with brush on the light source so you get reminded more often where the light comes from.

Nice eeeuum... beaver you said? It's nice but doesn't match a beaver at all...
Especially the exagarated forms mustn't be opposites:
Eyes of a real beaver are small so your beaver should have EXTRA small eyes. Not big ones.

Everyones saying things with no pictures...

You kow what? OKAY!

As long as you...
1. Put effort in it (like me and Volit0)
2. I'd rather have videogame characters, but okay... i guess others can be fun...
3. No sticks + the regular art forum rules
4. One big pic. Not a comic
5. FLASH!
6. "What if [name1] met [name2]" must be in the picture.

Utter genius, Snake...

What if ... met ...

What if ... met ... Posted April 23rd, 2007 in Art

I'm talking video characters here! I don't want a stick to meet Chuck Norris...

DUMB EXAMPLE:

1. You post:
What if Mario met Sonic (I know it isn't original, but I'm preventing from SOMEONE saying it. It will automaticly be said.)

2. If its a fun idea, I might just draw it!

But TRY to be really original: I don't want 5 "What if Rayman met Snake" posts here.
I want things like: "What if Hitman met Sims 2" or "What if Pacman met Pacman"

EXAMPLE PIC:

What if ... met ...

1. Don't jump the collab bandwagon!
2. Use flash, photoshop, gimp,...
3. NEVER use art machines and say it's art!!!
4. Certainly don't show you "ART" to Newgrounds if 3 is present!

I believe you're a newbie (not n00b!!!) in Flash. You should be using pencil and paper for practicing... THEN use Flash.

It really isn't good, at all.

Okay:

-Anatomy: They aren't meant to be realistic but some thing just
don't fit (eg. the arms)

-Colour it (necessary for YOUR pic)

-Try drawing profile, frontal AND the back of their heads. Also do the most difficuilt angle you discovered yet. Most people think this is from the roof looking down to the corner.

-Eat it, and try over (Not only you but everybody does it!)
