Is there still no way to delete? What was that maintenance for the other week? :(

I do see we can edit the title of movies now though.

So how does this exactly work? Of the top 5 of the month, the one(s) with original characters are candidate to be the winner of $250?

I know that you mentioned that you tested viewing it on different browsers, but have you tried uploading the update using a different one? I'm shooting in the dark here, but if the upload was successful then I see no reason for this to be causing problems; I'll report this issue if using another browser doesn't work either.

Yeah I tried uploading it on other browsers, and I know it worked cause when I look at the file it says it was uploaded 1 minute ago, or however minutes ago I did upload it. Before I uploaded it, it showed the last time I uploaded it, which was 2 hours ago.

Response to: Editing project .swf Posted March 7th, 2012 in Where is / How to?

once* already. I've also tried CTRL + F5 to clear the cache. And tried viewing it on other browsers.

It's for this video: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/591008 (only 30 seconds long)
The part with the 2 gold people, the one with the spear should be in front of the fat one, I accidentally moved the layers when I edited it, so I fixed it and tried to upload it a 3rd time, it says it took it but still doesn't play the updated .swf. I don't think it's on my end cause I've edited the video one already, and my other videos, and it wasn't always instant but it didn't take hours.

Editing project .swf Posted March 7th, 2012 in Where is / How to?

Hello, I edited one of my videos (added credits, buttons, replay button to the end) and I rearranged one of the layers by accident, so I fixed it but now when I upload the .swf the change doesn't take place, not even after an hour.

But sometimes it happens rather quick, is there a reason behind this? Do projects only get updated every couple of hours or so?

How much do you get for being on the front page, or being the best in a month? I heard there is some sort of reward.

Response to: API in Actionscript 2.0 Posted March 4th, 2012 in Game Development

OH I SEE IT NOW. Dur.

In API Tools there is an enable Flash Ads, then that starts pending.

Response to: API in Actionscript 2.0 Posted March 4th, 2012 in Game Development

Ah cool, so I think I did that (for my next animation)

Just go to New Project, name it, then accept the terms for the API tools and that'll get me ready within the few days? :D

Response to: Your Animating Techique Posted March 4th, 2012 in Animation

Script
Storyboard
voice
Do segments of the animation by skeletoning
animate over that and color at the same time
sync the lips up

move to next section, skeleton
animate, color, lip sync, and so on until I'm finished.

For some reason I can't animate the whole thing and THEN color. Maybe if I had someone do the colors for me though I would..

Dat wealth.

When I'm an old geezer and I don't have a sex drive anymore, then I'd be able to do classy things. Like smoke cigars on a yacht and go golfing with old Republicans.

Ah! So it takes some time, wasn't sure. Thank you :)

Response to: API in Actionscript 2.0 Posted March 3rd, 2012 in Game Development

Oh yeah I was able to get my API ID and Encryption key (after I uploaded my video), then I downloaded the AS2 API tool, put it in the first frame of my video, went to properties and put the information in, when I tested the video in Flash it said It's Working.

So that much I've done, I'm just not sure how to go about getting it approved, when I put the ID and Key in and play it once does that send something to a moderator that must get approved?

Response to: API in Actionscript 2.0 Posted March 3rd, 2012 in Game Development

At 16 minutes ago, CartoonWarStudios wrote: Your ads need to be approved by a moderator. I usually make sure of this before I release something, but any way; in the output, does it say your ads are pending approval? If you think it's taking a while you can PM a mod and ask to approve the flash ads with a link to your submission.

Ah thank you. How do ads get approved before submitting something though? You need the API ID and Encryption Key of the video. And from what I can tell it looks like you can only get that stuff for a video after its been uploaded.

But my ad doesn't say pending approval or anything, I just see nothing.

API in Actionscript 2.0 Posted March 3rd, 2012 in Game Development

Hello, I thought I'd try out that API thing in my animation which is.. Here http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/591008

Replaced the original NG Loader with it, but there is no ad, when I tested it in Flash it said it was working, but I noticed there was a note on the part of the site where you download the API thing, saying "AS2 was very limited with the API?"

Could someone explain? And should I just start using AS3, learn it and use the AS3 API in the future?

Response to: API in Actionscript 2.0.. Posted March 3rd, 2012 in Programming

I saw all your comics and my favorite is Weakest Link, itÃ'´s very funny

Hey thanks :D

And not much is up. Working on animating more, I might be able to squeeze another NoPUNintendo out later though. I'll probably end up animating them down the road too :D

Response to: How long does it usually take? Posted February 29th, 2012 in Animation

It depends. I just finished a 30 second animation, took about 2 days.

I put moderate detail in it. So I imagine a decent animation about a minute long would take (me at least) a week.

Are you guys optimistic for the new FF XIV patch?

I got that game on release date and I think it's safe to say that it's the most horrible game I have ever played. I don't know where the 5 years of development went, but if they think they can make a "fun patch" in a year.. I just don't know.

Is it just me? Or has TF2's "fun-ness" gone down since it went F2P? I haven't had fun playing it since. I only have fun when I tell people to stop cursing and everyone explodes.

I parted with a girl over 2 years ago, and I don't think I've fully recovered either.

Time can make it better, depending on your personality. I've become more of a recluse as a result. But hey, maybe as a hermit I can get good at animating.

The King is my Father.

Or something. Some Old Testament card game, we didn't actually play though, my friend made a funny face and I crawled away from the table laughing for 20 minutes. Then went home.
