I am referring of course, to Ricky Ricardo of "I Love Lucy." Sure, at first look, he may seem like a good, upstanding American, but let's take a closer look. Lucy is always getting into shenanigans (often with hilarious results), but despite her foolish behavior, I have never seen Mr. Ricardo beat het to keep her in line. What kind of message is this sending to the men of our generation? Next you'll be telling me they want to marry other men!
My final, most important point is his accent. Now, I've never been to Russia. For that matter, I've never been to Eastern Europe. As a matter of fact, I've never left the state of Indiana or met anyone who wasn't a United States citizen. But I'm certain that over in foreign communist lands, people talk just like Ricky Ricardo.
