Lyddiechu, don't take this as a recruitment drive for the PC. We don't accept members without first making sure they are of the 99th percentile of posters-intelligent.

The PC is very interested in having you as a member, when you have matured as a poster. Should you decide to follow a more mature path, feel free to forsake the DAG and contact me.

I can remember them, but the name eludes me, jim.

The PC have ascended the mortal boundaries of the BBS, and we can move freely from the squabblings of NG to the Haven of Snooble.
We feel free to mediate a discussion, engage in one, or stay clear. It is an evolution beyond being a regular.

7YYH? No wonder things are running so slow. Try using the HTE03X before to run the LE0R7. It might save you a bit of W034K

JimSween holds the talent for both debating AND arguing. Also, VOLT has had friction with more members than simply sweenie, and finally, am I the monkey in the middle in that pic? The one wearing the crown?

Response to: - The Regulars Lounge Thread - Posted May 21st, 2003 in Politics

But what is the solution? Make a requirement that they wait a certain amount of months before joining?
They'd never want to wait that long.

Boot anyone who stops posting?
That's not only harsh but stupid.

What do we do? Actually, take this over to Snooble, Jim. Bring it up there.

We're nearing 1000 posts in the lounge!

Response to: PC Pictures Post Posted May 21st, 2003 in Politics

The 200 posts rule is simply to give us adequate examples to see the kind of poster that you are, and that you are not going to join the crew and then up and leave the forum.

Response to: DAG messages Posted May 21st, 2003 in Politics

The PC is meant for nothing more than to support good debate. The ying-yang in our sigs in a symbol of approval of what is meant to be a respected organization of newgrounds.

The DAG is meant to present the alternate side of arguments, regardless of their own beliefs. They mean to spark debate.

It's amazing that two such similar groups can hold such animosity for one another. The DAG is run by an intelligent poster, regardless of the abilities of the other members.

Jimsween is in the PC because he is, in fact, a good debater. Regardless of his age, or the fact that he's a weenie, he holds the talent for arguing.

We've notified VOLT of his impending removal from the crew and given him time to appeal it. It's the decision of the crew, and it has been done with the utmost scrutiny.
In the end, we decided that it was considered unbecoming of a PC member to join the DAG without first notifying the crew of this. Besides a lack of contributions and friction with other PC members, Judge_VOLT is now the first member to be removed from the PC.

Response to: -- No-Fault Racism: A Debate -- Posted May 20th, 2003 in Politics

The use of the word n----- by blacks as a term of endearment is not as widespread as it may seem. It is confined to the vernacular of the ghetto blacks, which make up a small minority of the "african american" population.

To the vast majority of the black community, the word n----- carries the weight of centuries of slavery and oppression, and is still considered to be a racial slur, regardless of the color of the tongue from which it originates.

The so called ghetto community is not one to be taken lightly, and also not one to be taken seriously. They are a heavy handed group, because of their numbers, but cannot be taken seriously because of, not only their "lingo", which contains the words "dog, home-boy, bee-otch" and a number of sexual references, but also because of the lack of truthfulness in their words.
It may be that a percentage of the truly are from the ghetto, and have lived a hard life. But to say this is true for a majority of the black comunity is a lie intended to boost the popularity of black-generated music. Many blacks come from average-income families, begin rapping about a falsified ghetto life, and then make millions.

I don't know how I got to talking about rap, but every subject seems to lead to it eventually.

The DAG is a more overt form of the Politics Council (for those of you to which that holds any meaning), but now it comes with additional members and more frequent annoyances.
