Funk, if you really want to pursue any sort of discussion on this, feel free to email me. Otherwise, I'm looking at the DAG as little more than an extension of the general forum.

Response to: DAG messages Posted June 3rd, 2003 in Politics

We assign a GA to make sure a person isn't a one-month wonder, and hasn't simply made a few half-decent posts. We do this, and we endure the stigma of being "close-minded", "elitist", and "judgemental", because the ying yang you see in our sigs means we are of high quality. That symbolizes they have passed the scrutiny of others and have been deemed worthy of the mark of respect.

And I know saying "I don't mean to be insulting" doesn't make it less insulting, but it does mean I'm saying things that are meant to be more than insults.
If I wanted to insult you, I wouldn't have any respect for you. The only reason I have some respect for the DAG is because of FUNK, who I have a little for.

Response to: DAG messages Posted June 3rd, 2003 in Politics

I don't mean to be insulting, but in the interests of knowing the difference, let's just drop all pretenses for a minute.

The DAG has a good deal less "quality control". The PC is open minded, but the DAG is open minded and open. They'll really let anyone in.

DBF, would you care to add the ying yang to your sig somewhere?

Response to: - The Regulars Lounge Thread - Posted June 3rd, 2003 in Politics

Now check out the movie. It's the very lowest.

Response to: The Day P-Bot went mad... Posted June 3rd, 2003 in General

It was above 5, making it the top of the portal, then it was in the negatives, making it the lowest, now it's still the lowest, with a score of 0.9 or 0.09

Quickly!!! Everyone! Look at the top 50 "View All" page.

I had to cut and paste to make it fit the NG size restrictions.

I wanted to get some people to make animated images, so I whipped up a tiny, and crappy, beginning one.
And shrike, see if you can get on updating the pictures page.

Something wrong with nutella? I love that stuff!

Response to: DAG messages Posted June 1st, 2003 in Politics

Then I guess your group doesn't win.
I really can't stand cannibal. It's like you've cemented one of the general forum idiots into the politics.
Goodbye, DAG.

Response to: Christ's childhood? Posted May 31st, 2003 in Politics

My eyes hurt so much I could hardly read it, but it made me chuckle, house.
That's pretty damn good considering I'm a goat-loving emotionless robot.

head over to snooble to hear me ranting with my eyes closed soon.

Response to: DAG messages Posted May 31st, 2003 in Politics

It means we're putting the good of NG, namely, the deletion and minimalization of spam, above our own interests in maintaining the lounge as a PC thread.

Response to: DAG messages Posted May 31st, 2003 in Politics

But why do we need a different thread for each group to post their own spam in? Just dump it all into the regulars.

Response to: Sexual frustration Posted May 31st, 2003 in Politics

Oh crap. I meant for that picture to be too big, so NG would tell me the height and width restrictions on posting pictures. Why did you have to be so small, picture, WHY?

A goat? Why even put in the question mark?
I love goats! (In a potentially unhealthy fashion)

Response to: DAG messages Posted May 31st, 2003 in Politics

That's a thread that we had to negotiate for, and was meant to be simply for pointless discussion.
It was meant to be the sole such, not an invitation for an invasion of spam.

Response to: DAG messages Posted May 31st, 2003 in Politics

Besides being said over and over again, thanking jim for bringing your thread to the top of the page serves no purpose and adds nothing to a discussion.
A thread of pointless thanks and insults is a waste of bandwidth.

Well, that cartoon is shockingly annoying.

Response to: Gays should NOT be able to marry. Posted May 30th, 2003 in Politics

My commendations as well, Judge.

Not that they really need abortions...

You're the same as me, DBF. Tho you'll hit lvl 12 before I do.

Response to: PC Pictures Post Posted May 29th, 2003 in Politics

On a happier note, kudos on your new sig.

Response to: Take that veil off Posted May 28th, 2003 in Politics

She should take it off. It's simply common sense that they need to see her face, not a piece of fabric.

Response to: DAG/PC Posted May 28th, 2003 in Politics

The founding purpose of the PC is a group of approved quality debators, as well as to cause good debate through our own opinions.

The founding purpose of the DAG is a stepping stone for noobs to bigger and better things, as well as to encourage good debate through the role of Devil's Advocate.

One of these groups does it. The other is the DAG. =P

Pretty good, nirv. Shrike, you gotta update your photo archive with all these!

Response to: -- What Would You Do? -- Posted May 28th, 2003 in Politics

I wouldn't worry about hugging everyone and all that touchy-feely crap. In 24 hours, I won't care.

I'd probably

-I really don't know.

Strange. So much for my "Emergency End-of-the-world Day planner".
Oh well.

Response to: Illegalize Masturbation! Posted May 28th, 2003 in Politics

Jim, there's a good reason you haven't heard it before- it's a term for female masterbation.
Unless you've grown some new genitalia, the term won't work for you.
