Hitler was technically a Christian. He considered himself a Christian, and believed in God and Jesus Christ, but was critical of Christianity. He, and most other Nazis, were also very superstitious, and so believed in some less Christian things, such as astrology, but they were all Christian. Yes, they did some less-than Christian things, and had a Hitler "Cult of Personality", but they were still Christian.

And about the people on the planes, they were just carrying out Truman (the commander in chief, mind you)'s orders. And are you saying that they are definitely atheists unless I can prove you wrong? You are accusing them of atheism and are convinced that they were without evidence? Keep in mind evidence is the responsibility of the accuser, not the accused. So you should be proving to me that they are atheist, I shouldn't be proving to you.

But I will. One of the bombers, after bombing Hiroshima, said "My God, what have we done?". Now, of course this doesn't prove that they weren't atheist, but it is highly unlikely given that many atheists don't use the phrase God.

Here's a Wiki article on Paul Tibbits. No where does it mention atheism. Here's a list of atheists. No where does it mention Paul Tibbits, or anyone else flying that plane or bombing those cities.

Generally, I've seen that a lot of Americans don't take Canadians seriously and consider themselves better. I don't, but this is what I've seen.

And I can't say about the Canadian side, as all of the Canadians I've talked to were extremely rational and judged Americans by the individual rather than by the whole.

I'm not a Christian, but even I can recognize that was stupid. The United States' Christianity level is the reason most of the world thinks that the US is full of morons? No, it's due to the general lack of acceptance of other cultures and languages and because of our perpetually belligerent foreign policy.

In that regard, a lot of the rest of the world is in fact Christian.

And for the record, I do have somewhat strong morals, and I am an atheist. I don't see the need for a higher being to live my life happily. Life has no point in the simple meaning of the term, no. But life is. And is (to be) is good enough for me.
