I don't know. I think that we must listen to the classics and realize the good that they did, and take hold of these examples in order to save rock and roll. Emo and death metal/screamo is destroying it, and that takes up much of our generation's rock, so we must look back to the 60's and 70's (and some 80's) for guidance.

Response to: Techno? Posted April 7th, 2004 in General

Why do people hate techno?

I am into the natural music, but I enjoy the techno that is in Perfect Dark. It's just that techno is just so...fake... and even though Pink Floyd uses some sound effects, its not quite the same.

But seriously, what do you guys think of Pink Floyd? I think that they have the complexity that rock music has almost always lacked.

Yeah, he's got one arm. And he still plays pretty good. But the best drummer of all time has to be Jimmy Page from Led Zepplin.

Jimmy Page is guitar, man. But I understand, you must have messed up the names. Surely you mean John Bonham.

Response to: Best drummer? Posted April 7th, 2004 in General

I vote John Bonham. In case you didn't know, he is the drummer of Led Zeppelin. He is awsome, in case you havent seen his famous drum solo for Moby Dick.

Response to: Users Favorite songs of all time? Posted April 7th, 2004 in General

Dude, that is tough. My favorite songs will change before tomorrow. For the time being, I must say Behind Blue Eyes (The Who), all of the songs on Aqualung (Jethro Tull), and Thank You (Led Zeppelin).

Response to: Pink Floyd and Classic Rock Posted April 7th, 2004 in General

Has anyone seen any live Who footage or the Led Zeppelin DVD really amazing.Shows how you dont have to jump around on stage like fools to get the crowd going.

Yes, I have The Kids Are Alright, The Led Zeppelin double-disc set, and The Song Remains The Same. I feel that they never gave John Paul Jones as much credit as he deserves. What do you think?

Of course not, although the lead singer isn't my favorite. John Bonham was amazing also, Keith Moon, and Dave Grohl is pretty good. And southernrockblows, whats up with your name? What about the Alman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd? I think that they were awsome.

Response to: Pink Floyd and Classic Rock Posted April 7th, 2004 in General

Of course I didn't finish the entire list. I mean, I couldn't fit all the good bands into one page. Also, I hate to break it to you man, but death metal sucks really bad, and is destroying rock music. I mean, all it is is like, these people going on stage and crying, or trying to die. Have you ever seen Led Zeppelin or the Who live in videos? They go on stage and have fun, destroying stuff and playing the guitar with a bow. They are the real artists.

Response to: Kurt Cobain; Muder or Suicide? Posted April 7th, 2004 in General

Let me just say: KURT COULD HAVE SAVED ROCK AND ROLL! It is getting worse and worse, and here comes Nirvana to save it. Of course he has to die at the one time when everything is going good for him. Have any of you read Who Killed Kurt Cobain? It is really good. At first, I only joked about his death being murder because he was my idol. Then, I read the book, and now I know for a fact that he was murdered. GO TOM GRANT!

She was in confinment when he was found dead, so she probably had someone else do it. Most fingers are pointing at Francis Bean's nanny.

You had better hope I never see you. Go in the politics section for that. He was murdered, and thats all there is to it. I can back this up if anyone would like me to.

Pink Floyd and Classic Rock Posted April 7th, 2004 in General

I have a feeling that rock will never return to the place that Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, the Who, and the Beatles set it. What do you think? And what other classic rock bands do you like?

Response to: War Posted April 7th, 2004 in Politics

War is aceptable, only in a situation by which a threat or an attack has been issued DIRECTLY against a country. Then they have the right to return fire. Pre-Emptive is disgusting, wrong and illegal. It's shooting a man, who hasn't done anything, but might do so.

agreed

Response to: bush's re-election Posted April 7th, 2004 in Politics

Its because its "against God's will". Well, are we run by the constitiution, or God? I say, let them do what they like.

Response to: DOWN WITH THE BUSH! Posted April 7th, 2004 in Politics

sure man. I must admit though, Lynyrd Skynyrd is awsome.

Response to: DOWN WITH THE BUSH! Posted April 7th, 2004 in Politics

Sorry, man. That is true. And I didn't mean to say "much". If I asked Bush himself, he would lie to me. We all know that for a fact. He is a politician, after all. Anyway, Al Franken has proof about Bush, and can back it up, but then again, who knows if his proof is faulty? Oh well... I still don't like Bush.

Response to: OMFG Masterbation will be illegal!! Posted April 7th, 2004 in Politics

STFU n00b.

What is wrong with you man?? Dude, Bush has done so much bad things. He is a complete idiot. I can't stand him, and I believe that you are the noob if you think that he is the greatest leader of all time, unless you are Bush and are egotistical, or are completely joking, which i hope to believe you are.

Response to: War Posted April 7th, 2004 in Politics

Every human is an animal, on the same level as any other. Defense IS justified, but a PRE-EMPTIVE one is not. It's like killing everyone in the ghettos because they just might commit some crimes, some day.

I completely agree with you. George Bush is a complete moron. Have you read any of the new books that have come out that rip him up? Thankfully, we have people like Al Franken to tell us whats really going on. I mean, he even gives proof to back up almost every accusation he makes. He should be president. I mean, my dog would do better than Bush.

Response to: War Posted April 7th, 2004 in Politics

There is no rationalization to war. War is greedy, selfish and stupid. I am anti-war in every way. Unfortunately, I have to admit I have to admit that I would probably have fought in WW2 against the Nazis, though, I have a reason. I probably would have been in Poland around the time of the invasion, and would have been forced to fight. Oh well, I hate war of all kind, but what the Nazis did was just horrible and disgusting.

Final Fantasy

Response to: Call of Duty or Medal of Honor? Posted April 6th, 2004 in General

Well, having have played every single Medal of Honor and never played Call of Duty, I would go with Medal of Honor. I mean, sure, Rising Sun was nothing special, but the computer games (Allied Assault and both expansions) are awsome. I mean, the games just give such a good feeling when you kill a damned Nazi (mostly in the original Allied Assault). I must admit, that Breakthrough gets kind of tiresome with the fact that you can't get ammo from every enemy you kill, but the online is really awsome.

Response to: Worst Presidents Posted April 5th, 2004 in Politics

I would say that the worst presidents are:

Bush Sr.: Taxes
Nixon: Water Gate
Jackson: Trail of Tears
Bush: lies, being an idiot, stupidity, daddy's boy

Response to: 9-11 a hoax? Posted April 5th, 2004 in Politics

Ok, so we know it happened, but did you know that some believe that George Bush was behind it? Now, I don't believe this for a minute, but I do believe that he knew about it or that something was going to happen. I have read several books about it. Lets hope democrats come into office this term.

Response to: Pink Floyd, Classic Rock + Flash Posted April 5th, 2004 in Clubs & Crews

Response to: Pink Floyd, Classic Rock + Flash Posted April 5th, 2004 in Clubs & Crews

Hey dude, we should make it! We could probably make the Good Bye Blue Sky part, you know, the part where the dove pops? Also, we could do In The Flesh, ha, and Another Brick In The Wall Part 2. That would be awsome, where all the kids are falling into the meat grinder.

Response to: Pink Floyd, Classic Rock + Flash Posted April 5th, 2004 in Clubs & Crews

Yeah it would. Do you think rock music is going through a constant downfall?
