He is still alive, but very insane. Just like in the Wall, all he does is watch TV all day. He lives with a relative in a small house all alone, just how he wants it. (I read his biography)

I don't know that song. Isn't it something like the first and last tracks on Wish You Were Here?

Well if you look at it that way then you will never find a band of are gen that you will enjoy. There are alot of bands that are infulanced by bands of the 60's 70's and 80's and show it in there music. Like Thrice for example (i am listing to them now) they are huge Iron madien fans and you can hear it in there music.

Yes, but most of them suck. And I'm sorry, man, and no offense to you, but I don't like Thrice.

but wat doesn't make me happy is this new "retro is cool" fad, where you see 7th graders wearing a doors t-shirt but doesn't even know who jim morrison is. or some punk at the mall listening to their "beatles #1 hits compilation album" but think that Revolver is nothing but a gun.

pisses me off to no end.

agreed. And same with me about the dad part, although it was my mom who got me into Nirvana, Floyd, and Zeppelin.

Pink Floyd is my all time favorite band followed by the Beatles as a close second. It's too bad Waters and Gilmour couldn't iron out their differences but that's been the fate of a lot of great bands.

I completely agree and love your Dark Side of the Moon prism. Plus, the Beatles are great.

Hey, Pink Floyd will always be my all time favorite. They r the greatest. The Wall is great. syd barrett was god.

Yeah dude. We all must give a moment for the fallen Syd Barrett. If you don't know about him, he went insane from too quick a rise to fame and too much acid. He created Pink Floyd, and wrote much of A Piper At The Gates Of Dawn and some of Ummagumma. He was incredible. I mean, sure, Roger Waters, Gilmour, Mason, and Wright kept the Floyd legacy alive long after his decline, but still, without him, there would be no Floyd.
