What else do you have that you could take pictures of and show us from WW2?

Harvest Moon was a great game, but it was pretty recognized as such, I thought.

I wouldn't mind America becoming more like Europe, to be brutally honest.

Being white, and descendant from German and Italian cultures, I visit Europe a lot and I think the system is much better than here in America. There isn't as many gangs because, let's face it, there isn't as many black people. Don't label me as racist because of that, it's the gods-honest truth.

That is not just racist, but completely ignorant. Your statement assumes that blackness leads to gangs, which is so far from the truth. The reason that the black community in the United States have a gang problem is because of their historical socio-economic position in American society, NOT because they are black. The only relevance that being black has to the topic is that the slaves that were imported into the United States were strictly black, so the idea formed that black = slaves and slaves = black, and that thus blacks are inferior.

This is a relatively new idea which began in the 1500's when the Portuguese started establishing slave trade ports around Africa. For thousands of years before that, slaves were those who were conquered.

So, apologize all you want for not being racist while making absolutely racist comments. It's almost humourous.

While diversity is a good thing, I think Europe has their priorities in order.

Right.

Worms Armageddon: endless fun...I could play that game for days on end.

Great game, I agree here.

and Homeworld 2... Absolutely brilliant space-themed strategy game with spherical, three-dimensional maps and massive fleets of ships at your disposal. I'M STILL trying to buy the full version of this game...and I wish they would make a sequel...

The only thing I liked better about the original Homeworld was the fact that you could view battles from the cockpit of one of the tiny ships at your disposal.

That is why southern military members were not tried and executed after the war (Bet you didn't know that that tidbit is all thanks to the second ammendment, you know the one that everyone hates).

The second amendment says absolutely nothing about being able to secede, or how secessionist people should be treated. In fact, the constitution says nothing about it, and it does not give the states the right to leave.

Point to one spot in it where it does.

At 5/12/09 12:48 PM, SonicSheep wrote: Well by that, then the French and the British are Vikings!

The Franks came from Norway and went to France.

No, the Franks were a Germanic confederation that formed in Western Europe, around the Rhine. The Franks originally ran almost all of Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire, and then the Frankish empire were divided into Western (France) and Eastern (German) portions.

You are probably thinking of the Normans - the Normans were viking invaders that conquered Normandy (hence the name), as well as lots of other places (including all the way down to Sicily). The Normans then settled where they went, and then they invaded England in 1066 (William the Conqueror).

The Anglo-Saxons invaded England.

The Angles were from Northern Germany and the Saxons were from more Eastern.

Then Saxons were Invaded by the Normans, who were a Viking tribe, which invaded northern France, then invaded England!

True, you are right about the Normans, but you are not right about the Franks.

And the Scottish and the welsh were pretty much left alone, so then its only the English that are French/Vikings.

The Scottish were actually almost constantly pestered by the Vikings, as were the Welsh, Cornish, and Irish (Dublin was originally a Viking colony).

Red Faction even had Vehicles before Halo, and you could burrow through walls... But Codename Eagle was even before that, the predecessor to Battlefield 1942: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codename_Ea gle

Halo influenced games, as people say, by mainstreaming the idea of regenerating health. It was not a special shooter in its own right other than that.

Red Faction, by the way, pushed FPS games a bit further, by adding some awesome destructibility, but for some reason it never caught on. Perhaps the new one will be more influential.

As well as horrible AI, shoddy game mechanics, bad level designs, and a ridiculous tank level which is somehow worse than the tank level in World at War.

Modern Warfare has some levels which are run and gun, such as the American ones, but to say that's all it is shows that you probably didn't play all the way through it. The American in the game dies at the end of the first third of it, and the British only have a few levels of intense run and gun. Otherwise it's really quite diverse.
