I'm sorry, you need to have at least a Security Guard badge, among other things, to join. Also, if you're new around here, take some time to familiarize yourself with the forums. Learn how we do things around here and we'll have you on your feet! It would also help if you read the first post on this thread to learn what we're about.

There's some beef jerky about 30 inches from my face but I can't smell it. Therefore, it does not exist.

Response to: How's your school lunch food? Posted May 10th, 2008 in General

Foods over here are overpriced and marginally qualify as "nourishment." It bewilders me how my school does not condone theft when basically the same thing's going on everyday in the cafeteria.

No i mean Free Response Questions, those along with the dbq's. I really don't want to talk about AP exams anymore, ive had just about enough of it for one lifetime.

Response to: Newgrounds Police Dept. Posted May 10th, 2008 in Clubs & Crews

I'm still a sophomore and will be taking AP U.S. next year. From what I know at this point, the only options available for me was either European history or Macro-economics. I never cared enough to learn about the economy, although I should, so here I am.

Yes, it WAS that hard and I did make an honest effort to study for it. It's the FRQ's that really got me, I had to bs all the way through both of them.

Onto another subject, school's almost coming to an end here! About a month left before summer break begins for me :)

Response to: Newgrounds Police Dept. Posted May 9th, 2008 in Clubs & Crews

lol i had my first AP exam today for European history.

....

I really don't see the reason to be alarmed about all this "short posts" thing either. Also, most of our talk recently has been about pico day, how the portal's been affected, and other NG stuff so I hardly see it as meaningless.

You people worry too much over teh internets.

Explained here.

From my understanding, Neon's right. The clock crew didn't exist prior to the submission of "B" so there was no way Tom could've been a member of the CC. Although I did hear that Tom used his ALMIGHTY ADMIN POWARZ to protect "B" for kicks.

Its important to remember to not TELL others to flag something. This is an extremely sensitive issue because someone might begin to think we mass vote/whistle submissions and that stuff will get us shut down. Rather, SUGGEST a possible abusive movie and explain why it might be worth whistling. Be careful how you report submissions from now on.

?

I believe this stems from the EGB. As in real life, this is to show respect to other members and give this place a more authentic feel. Mostly we do it for fun :P

Response to: Newgrounds Police Dept. Posted April 29th, 2008 in Clubs & Crews

Look, just stop complaining about it and put a little more damn effort into your posts if that's what you're told, that's all there is to it. We have no need for you if all you're gonna do is bitch about something that can be helped. We've had dozens of members pass our post expectations so I do not see the problem with our standards. The NGPD is not obliged to provide you with luxury treatment and we sure as hell aren't gonna tend to your every whim when something's not convenient with you. If you can't bother to get by around here, then you are more than welcome to leave.

Don't even trouble yourself responding to this post. Your answer will be silent. Either you step up to the bar and do what is asked of you or you walk out the door. Consider your options.

Because you can't actually have a skirmish or match without someone getting killed with real guns.

Dumbass

This man speaks the truth. Besides, I'd rather have airsoft over real guns because of the following reasons:

- Don't ever have to worry about blowing someone's brains out accidentally (blindness or impotence at worst - which IS pretty bad if you're just that stupid in which case a real gun would be out of the question in the first place)
- Unlikely to cause severe property damage (broken windows or precious family heirlooms at worst)
- Cheaper to buy
- Cheaper to shoot (bb's vs. bullets, i think we know which is easier on the wallet)
- Higher ammo capacity = more shooting time
- Easier to maintain
- As mentioned earlier, you can skirmish with buddies for fun (don't forget protective gears!)
- Quality airsoft looks and feels about the same as real guns
- REAL police units, and possibly soldiers, have used airsoft guns for serious training/mission simulations - so what's wrong with airsoft again?
- Great introduction for budding gun enthusiasts because we all know that noobs + guns = trouble

I could list more, but I'm getting bored. So you see, airsoft is more than a 5 year old fps addict's wet dream. BTW nice gun, I was looking into an ICS m4a1 because of the functional forward assist button.

At 4/26/08 10:23 PM, Jesus-Owns-X wrote: Then thats bullshit.

My apologies to everyone for digging up this scuffle when its all resolved and especially considering that he's now an apprentice, but I believe this issue should be resolved with a firm answer:

If you're gonna ask to join the NGPD, at least have the foresight to come prepared, that is, show up with a good page of posts. It's like a job interview, you're probably not gonna talk with your employer while wearing pajamas. See where I'm getting at?

I know this is faulty at times, as not many people keep up with making quality posts after being accepted, even I'm no exception. However, you cannot fake good posts, its either good or it isn't and being able to make a relatively good page shows that you're at least capable of demonstrating coherence and intelligence in your everyday BBS life. Also I must stress that short posts aren't necessarily BAD posts because God help us if we write a paragraph for every response we make.

I hope this clears up future conflicts regarding the post criterion.

From my understanding, the Barracks don't really care about whistles either. A lot of them are probably facing the same crisis so it wouldn't be fair of them to judge you upon that. And be happy!
