I would have to agree with this, actually. I became a huge fan of Our Lady Peace a long time ago and the one thing that attracted me was the vocals.

I know that when I do stand-up comedy or improv comedy that I don't particularly enjoy being censored because I don't like having my creativity and ideas limited, but I can understand if censorship is employed in certain situations.

I also think that I have come far enough as an entertainer that I can be funny and creative without having to use profanity or adult themes.

I don't go to movie theaters because the people in them are stupid assholes, honestly.

I feel like it would be courteous of you to turn down the music at least a little bit if the volume is truly affecting your neighbors.

While it may seem odd that they are just complaining now after 2 years or so of you doing this, that really may be the case. Then again, the wife might have just recently starting having the headaches and your music is the easiest thing to target, so that might be what they're doing.

I would suggest looking into it before you do anything rash.
