Okay so I've decided to upgrade from my 17" LCD monitor that I've had for 3 years now, and I want to upgrade to a 24". I've been thinking of getting a Samsumg T240, but I'm not sure if I should consider getting another brand/model.

Anybody here have lots of experience with monitors?

Unless Nvidia releases something that offers more than ATi at a similar or lower price I will probably end up getting a 5850 and possibly another later on for crossfire.

@ OP: Your GPU sucks but it should be okay depending on what resolution you play at. If 1280x1024 then expect medium settings or so.

ram has really gone up in price, the ddr2 set you linked used to cost $50. For this price I suggest doing DDR3 because it costs about the same and better performance

1. Get a SATA optical drive instead of an IDE one, IDE cables are huge.

2. If you're gonna get an aftermarket cooler get something worth getting like a Scythe Mugen 2.
