the guy who posted this threat is a complete retard. there are so many things wrong wit what you said. one of the things that stood out to me the most was that in democracy we only have the choice of yes or no and there's no debating. but if you werent stupid as shit, you'd know that all the laws that are made that go through congress are debated before they are voted on, and changes are made. want a recent example? the wall street bailout; they debated on it, they voted no, so they changed it, and they voted again, and it passed. at least we have a fuckin choice. in many countries the citizens don't even get to say yes or no. you're jus another dumbass trying to sound like he knows what he's talking about when really he has shit of a clue.
i think we're all idiots for arguing about it. i don't care what your theories say, i don't care what your book says, theres no way for us to know so stop worrying about it and get on with your lives. imagine there is a god and he didnt want us to know he exists so he only allowed us to observe a certain amount of the physical world, he only allows us to know a certain amount of stuff. and the bible is a true connection to god that surpasses that boundary he set up. then you atheists would look retarded. so just stop arguing about it lol, nobody knows, and no living person ever will.
You want to know what I think? I think the God we call our God is evil. The devil if you will.
Suppose that our God (the devil) had dominion over Mars. He ran Mars like a dictatorship, choosing paths for creatures, and deciding everything that happened every which way on his planet. As a normal dictatorship eventually ends, he ran Mars into the ground, causing it to become the barren wasteland it is today.
The good God had dominion over Earth. He let the Earth operate democratically almost; under a set of rules, known as natural selection or evolution as we call it. Every creature, plant, or animal, followed these rules to evolve into being more advanced. But there was one thing God didn't allow. God did not allow for his species to alter their paths, to think for themselves, or to affect the Earth in any drastic way.
Well after the Devil (our God) ran Mars into the ground, he became extremely jealous and angry. So much so that he himself infested a species with all of his power, the Ape family. With all his power he was able to overcome the rules God defined. His humans were able to determine their own destiny, they could alter their own DNA, they could think for themselves. The devil's humans advanced quickly, and God saw this as a problem. He coordinated the Toba Catastrophe in order to end the human race before they became too powerful. Although he killed many many humans, he did not finish them off. And this made them powerful, and they spread to the entire Earth, and now us, the Devil's humans are eating away at Earth, destroying it's atmosphere, so the Earth can suffer a violent end just as Mars did. The devil will not lose.
Maybe a superpowerful being who created the entire universe made the universe so large because [he] didn't want each of the dispersions of life to find each other. I'm not sure why [he] would do such a thing, but maybe the expansion of the universe just makes us go further and further away and so no matter how quickly we advance we can't create propulsion powerful enough and quickly enough to go further and further. And maybe the speed of light being a cosmological speed limit of sorts is also limiting the different life forms from seeing each other. Who knows.
Your arguments don't prove anything. You just said "no you're wrong." you moron.

God is not less than a theory? That doesn't make sense lol, our world is so weird, we just exsist, that's so fucking weird. You think you know all, and trust me i used to think that i knew just as much as you, that I knew everything, but this universe is so crazy, anything MAY be true.
The brain is the most powerful computer in history.Haha no it's not.

powerful_computer_or_human_brain
http://www.s8int.com/article5-brainpower .html
So now I've proved itYou've proved nothing. That was was merely opinion.
Which brings back the reasoning to my side
is basically the same level of insanity to think god created life as to think life was always here or spontaniously formed;Evolutionists don't believe it always existed or spontaneously formed.
They believe there must've been a point where non organic life (ie. elements) turned into organic life. Or that life was always around. One of the two.
if not it may even be MORE logical to think there's a god.A deistic god? Perhaps. But there is absolutely no reason to assume it was, say, the Christian god. If you look in the bible, there's actually reason to assume it wasn't god.
you basically agreed with me on that one.
HUMANS CANNOT CREATE A ROBOT ANYWHERE NEAR AS POWERFUL AS A HUMAN ITSELF.This is completely irrelevant, If our current understanding of evolution is accurate, then there is no reason to assume we should be able to create something so complex.
No this is very relevant. It shows how ridiculous it is to believe that the elements, over time, turned into life for no reason. Whatever made us, since our brains are so complex, relating back to my first point, obviously is more powerful than us, because we can't create computers as powerful as whatever created us. So there must be something higher. It's either a God that created the greatest computer ever, or the elements over time evolving into a supercomputer for no reason.
Therefore whatever created us is more powerful. That's your opinion.
No I just proved it's kindof logical to think that actually.
and hearts that you can put in place of a natural one... but the artificial ones only last a year or so...No they don't.
ok, you just assumed I was wrong and obviously didn't do any research.

the guy survived for like 620 days.
and the creator incorporated the human body with a form of transportation, it can run, and is powered only by food on the ground, no pollution, WHICH SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WE CAN'T CONQUER.I'm beginning to wonder if you even understand how evolution works, because if you did, I'd expect you to realise evolution accounts for all of this.
And pollution? Um, been to the toilet lately?
Cows shit? Makes fertile soil.
The reason we don't have smoke pouring out of our asses is because we rely on chemical reactions to obtain energy from our 'fuel', not combustion.
You're a fool. I'm not saying God created us step by step, I'm saying god planted the seeds of life and set up evolution, he created natural selection, because he has worlds like ours all over the universe, and he can't watch them all at once and monitor. Why do you think there's a cosmological speed limit? The speed of light prevents us from reaching those far off planets. Maybe you're just a little ity bitty pawn in God's much larger plan.
Maybe he is smarter than you, and he doesn't want to let you know he exists, he wants you to believe,That's stupid. And pointless. Why wouldn't he reveal himself?
Why should he? Maybe it's a test to root out true believers.
because atheism is exactly what the creator told you to stay away from. What the fuck are you talking about?
Evil is what God tells you to stay away from. And he says the devil will be very attractive and seem the better option, but in reality it's evil. Atheist theories may seem attractive but maybe it's just a test.
but in reality it's evil. That's what science may be.So, evil is smart, but goodness is stupid? Wtf.
"smart?" you're so naive. Look up theories like the M-Theory. Science can't explain SOOO much about the universe. It hasn't jack shit of a clue about a lot of things. The most recent theory of the universe suggests that 11 dimension may exist. 11! We only live within 4. Science lives within those 4 boundaries and we as humans can't sense anything in those other 7 dimensions. All we know is x axis, y axis, z axis, and time. Those are the only 4 dimensions we can sense. So science can NEVER find out what is going on in the other 7 because our minds just simply can not concieve it. Thats right, the only way the universe makes sense is if we don't have the capacity to know what is going on in most of it. A big blow to science right?
He established the laws of the world, and we figured them out. We're the students and he is not only the teacher, but he can change the laws all together, so it's like a teacher that's never wrong. He can make gravity push instead of pull, and it will be done.Oh will it now? You're a fucking moron.
Who is to say you're all knowing? You're the real moron.
Keep in mind I'm just playing devils advocate. No you're not you dumbfuck. You're trying to push your own bullshit views on us.
Once again you haven't proved me wrong once, you just said I was wrong without showing any proof at all and called me a dumbfuck. I am playing devils advocate, I'm just trying to show you that you aren't as right and smart as you think you are.
You think you're so smart, but maybe God is just laughing at you.Don't worry, atheists and anyone with half a brain is laughing at you.
No I think i pretty much just owned you because I proved you wrong at every point there buddy.

All life which did not desire (if only instinctively) to compete would have had no energy to survive. Now why does life even compete in the first place? Well actually that is the real question of why are we here. The question you addressed is how are we here. No, you are very on topic. The topic is about how human instinct influences Action. The Instinct to 'thrive' makes the cruel human actions logical from a temporary standpoint; We can point at it and say it's wrong, but we have no reason to think this; No mammal specie on planet earth exists where all animals are completely accommodated and free of danger from other competing animals as well as predators. [Humans are predators to them selfs for natural reasons]
I think it is the nature of the universe to be in equilibrium as a lot of things in the universe are disorderly so must there things that are orderly, like life. Life is a weak opposition force for disorder. Only through competition will life become stronger force, as more inefficient forms of life can't compete with more efficient ones.
But why do WE still do this? I think the answer is that our genes do not know that we no longer need to go hunt our food. But our instincts still tell us to thrive, our brains though know different we still listen to the thrive instinct but wealth has translated into wellbeing for our brains. Our artificial environment has disrupted this natural equilibrium as we have lost our role in nature.
Basically I'm saying life is in existence in an attempt to establish order in the universe, but civilization is right now is causing disorder in nature, maybe as we mature as a species we will understand that civilization has a parasitic relationship with nature and realise that if a parasite get too greedy it kills its host and has nothing to eat.
Sorry if I got a bit off topic its really hard to establish a collective thought on something as complex as the reason of existence.
Congratulations for taking the cake.
These are ALL STILL JUST THEORIES. You cant prove somebody right or wrong SmileyzRoyale. You know what I say? I'm just gonna play devils advocate here because honestly I don't know what I believe in so I'll just thrive to show you there's always a counterargument just as powerful.
Ok, think about our brains. Everything in our bodies is so complex. I'm just talking about one thing here, the brain, I'm gonna prove you wrong without having to even refer to the COMPLEX immune system, the repoduction of cells on both an asexual and sexual level (which both occur in humans), the complex veins, and organs, I'm only refering to the brain. The brain is the most powerful computer in history. It may not be as "fast" in terms of ghz like processer speed, but the way the brain connect 10,000 neurons to every single neuron just allows us to compute much faster. Whatever formed our brain has created the most complex computer known to the known universe. And you can't tell me it's more logical to think that the only things that formed the most complex computer is Primordial Soup and time. So now I've proved it is basically the same level of insanity to think god created life as to think life was always here or spontaniously formed; if not it may even be MORE logical to think there's a god. God created the most powerful computer in the world, and the most complex "ROBOT" ever concieved. HUMANS CANNOT CREATE A ROBOT ANYWHERE NEAR AS POWERFUL AS A HUMAN ITSELF. Therefore whatever created us is more powerful. We have created a car to use as transportation, and hearts that you can put in place of a natural one... but the artificial ones only last a year or so... and the creator incorporated the human body with a form of transportation, it can run, and is powered only by food on the ground, no pollution, WHICH SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WE CAN'T CONQUER. It is VERY attractive, but in reality it's evil. That's what science may be. Science is only allowed to learn what it is permitted by the creator to learn. He established the laws of the world, and we figured them out. We're the students and he is not only the teacher, but he can change the laws all together, so it's like a teacher that's never wrong. He can make gravity push instead of pull, and it will be done.
Keep in mind I'm just playing devils advocate I don't believe this necessarily. But talk to me Smileyz. You think you're so smart, but maybe God is just laughing at you.
At 12/31/07 12:49 PM, XeroXTC wrote:Some stupid creator he is then. Evolution is extremely inefficient. If a creator was really powerful enough to make the entire universe, one would think that he could develop a method of creation that doesn't require billions of years, countless random mutations and the extinction of 99% of all species that ever lived on earth.
you guys are missing one big thing though. everything is relative. you know how einstein told us that time is relative? that means that flies, which are creatures which like what a few days? they don't feel like their lives last a days, they feel like those 7 days are equivilent to the 70 YEARS we experience, because time is only as fast as the mind of the creature thinks it is. billions of years to us may be barely any time at all to a creature of higher being. and just as time is relative, so is size, an elephant may seem huge to an ant, but to an elephant, it's normal size. and a redwood tree (if it could hypothetically think) would think the elephant is extremely tiny in size.
SmilezRoyale, this post is for you bud. I like what you say, it sounds wonderful, and trust me I used to believe it myself. I believe that simple bacteria DID indeed evolve into modern complex human life. But the problem that i seem to run into is that natural selection is basically a really long drawn out guessing game. According to the theories about evolution, all of the DNA that would make up future humans was contained in the much simpler life, so basically life spent millions and millions of years turning on and off genes until it came up with what is the best thing it's got so far, and that is the modern human. But there's one problem, where did these genes come from? Sure Abiogenesis maybe have turned non-life into life, but where did these genes come from? Where did life get all of the DNA to create the complex tissues that we have; I mean, it knows how to create brains, which are computers infinitely more powerful than any we can create. And you're telling me that life, which spontaniously appeared constructed the most powerful computer in the known universe with no more ingredients than primordial soup and time? That seems to be a big jump to me.
I'm not saying that any one slip of paper is better, i'm just saying that things exist that there's no way our science can ever explain it. We just have to wait until we die to know the truth. That's why dying is one of the most important things in our lives.
that word is supposed to say science can only deduce answers from the info it was given, not the date it was given, my bad
I have a good way to describe the problem between science and religion. Science can only deduce answers from the date it is given.. What I'm trying to say is that we can only learn about the parameters science can exist in. Imagine you're in the shower, ok there is a wall, and on this wall there is a water drop, imagine that this water drop represents all of us, our entire universe, and all the water droplet knows is "DOWN" because that's the only direction it moves. This is comparable to how our science can only explain "DOWN" because all it lives inside and knows is "DOWN" so now imagine this water droplet reaching the point where the wall meets the floor, now the water droplet is moving in a completely different direction, which it has no clue about, because it has never experienced it before. So when the water droplet is going down, it seems obvious to it (i.e. everybody in the world, atheists) that down is the only thing that exists and there is no possible way anything can exist because this is all that we can see. But this isn't true. Science can never even begin to think about religion because it is completely out of it's scope. Now imagine that God slipped us a note while we were going DOWN that wall, that eventually we will hit the floor and go ACROSS, everybody rejects it because there's no way right? Well no see, you can't say that. I think that God allows us to obtain a certain amount of knowledge about the world and he chooses to keep the rest to himself for our own good. I think that God created the universe, and God created natural selection, and he let natural selection run it's course on our planet because he's created other worlds FAR FAR away from here. And God made the speed of light as the cosmic speed limit so we can never reach those distances.
Keep in mind I am not really sure if I believe in religion or if I'm atheist, I'm more playing devils advocate here.
i dont know, i have a few questions for you guys. because i used to be a hardcore advocate of evolution, but recently, especially since i've been smoking a lot of weed and thinking about this constantly, it seems like honestly, i dont know about creationism, but intelligent design does seem like it may be partially right. see evolution did happen, it's true, but the thing is, where did DNA originate? sure, simple RNA type molecules have been shown to be able to form under certain crazy conditions like the Miller-Urey experiment. but think about it, look at your fingers, your heart, your brain, how did all of these alleles and traits form? there's no way that DNA molecules could've just simply come out of rock and dust and gases, i don't care what you say, the blueprints for the human body are just too complicated for that to make sense. i believe that something must've created the original dna blueprints for all species, by including all alleles and genes in the original ancestor of all modern species, but there's no way that RNA formed under extreme conditions could've CREATED the brain, the way the nuerons form and connect, the way the brain folds, the way we store memories, the way we work... evolution is a great theory, but the origin of evolution has many problems.
Nobody is really sure about what World War III will be all about. My two best guesses are probably... hmmm.... A war over the last oil resources maybe? After all, oil is the central driving force of many economies. The US and China have both stated that they will go through almost any lengths to get oil, and a viable substitute hasn't really taken it's place yet. Obviously, the other choice, is war involving the middle east, it's hot as hell there, and yeah they've fought many wars since Israel's inception, but since the 'war on terror' countries are starting to take sides. We'll see what happens. It's anyone's guess.
i used to think like you guys "no scienfic evidence for existence of god" but once i started smokin a lotta pot i got into philosophy and pyschology a lot and shit. think, science is a creation of man, it explains the laws the keep our world in balance. but god is other worldly, hell if he's god, he could've just decided to not place any evidence for him to find out if he was there, so the true believers of his prophets would come through. think how amazing we are, just look at your hands, look at the human anatomy, we can never make something like that, it is absolutely amazing. the best we can make is guided by our creation, science, and we can't come anywhere close to artificial intelligence, let alone the creation of a species. so therefore, our science is much weaker than the powers that govern our world, so you can't use our science to determine something that is way over it's head. i have much more arguments so keep these coming, i love talking about this and i want to hear what you guys got to say.
lmao you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. you just said a democracy isn't free because the majority is what decides. obviously people have to think about the reasoning behind something in order to vote in favor, otherwise they wouldnt vote. your reasoning sucks, you're trying to sound like one of those kids who goes against our society, but you're just wrong. what you consider "free" which is everybody makes their own decisions, is called anarchy, that's the only way that this can be acheived. and then, we are under to rule at all, it would be chaos, no law, no uniting people for a single cause, things just wouldn't work. you're a dumb piece of shit.

the thing about religion is... the only way to know if god exists or heaven exists, is to die, but by that point it's too late to choose your religion. maybe the bible and kuran were put in place to give us the information to those who will listen. or maybe a bunch of people from 2 milleniums ago thought it'd be funny to trick everybody into thinking there was a god with a word and a son that died for us. nobody can ever really know, and that's what sucks the most about it.
These are some songs i made in fruity loops. I used the program a different way though, not making trance, but instead pieces that are largely influenced by bands like pink floyd. I write music on acoustic guitar, but i began recently getting my ideas down using electronica stuff, i like it. Really trippy stuff, in fact the cd i'm putting these songs on is gonna be called "things to listen to when you're halfway stoned out of your face." Take a look, you won't be disappointed.
i don't do single doodles. i save one piece of paper for the whole day of school and get madd stoned and this is what tends to come out.
it's totally traced. if you can draw a character that good with that line style, then why is the background done with a shitty large brush and looks like absolute crap compared to the main focus of the picture, which is also crap... just less crappy.
bah, the bastards caught me with pot in school, lol. am i allowed to talk about that on the forums? don't lock my thread!!!! lol

I'm looking to do some freelance work to gain a few extra bucks. I did this web banner for my friend's website called "powrrock" it's a music style website as you can see. So if you guys need any help, contact me. Here's the banner i made, also tell me what you guys think!!!
I'm suspended from school, for 5 days, lol. So i've been drawing all day and stuff. I made this one, it isn't as complicated as my usual stuff but i like it. It looks better on paper, naturally, but we'll see what you guys think. I didn't do this on purpose but i guess it kindof can be taken as the all seeing eye looking over the world or something, idk... i just drew and eye and then a bunch of stuff around it, lol. Tell me what you guys think.
