You don't even need musical skill to use Garage Band, at least if you're smarter than an ape that is.

This is not true. While the loops are fun it has a lot more power than you would think; just mess with the musical generator for a while and use the Crystal synth with it; a lot of synths can be used as AUs in GB. You don't really know GarageBand until you've plugged in a keyboard and tweaked the instruments. :) There's more than meets the eye. You can use samples like that in any sequencer; GB just happens to have a lot built in. Blame your teacher/ lack of tools, not the program.

I f we were living in a non descriminating society then why would we have affirmative action? Some clever kid cant get a scholarship because of affirmative action whearas a dumb kid gets a scholarship because of affirmative action? How does this work? In the future its going to go vice versa. Isn't this being racist to the people that don't benefit from it?

How about instead of just assuming people of a certain race are poor and dumb we just help the people who are poor? Look at a family's income and judge whether not to give assistance from that. And yes, there are many poor black families so much of the aid would go to black people, and I have no problem with that. But there are poor whites and asians as well; so instead of basing the criteria on race, how about basing it on whoever needs help?

Alright, how about you drive a helicopter so far up in the air that people look like tiny dots and let's see how great YOUR aim is.

By the way, I don't think the TFG (Transitional Federal Government) will mind if the U.S. helps them attack the ICU; they're the ones they're fighting the war with.
You might be interested to know who's giving the ICU aid: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_Courts_U nion#Alleged_military_support_to_the_ICU

Before you start whining about America oppressing the world please note that it's the ICU's intention to impose Sharia law on Somalia; and one of the main problems in American social policy (and in any country for that matter) is the non-separation of church and state.

Just because you're not being ruled by the terror of fearing that God will punish you (which is part of how the Abrahamic religions became successful) doesn't mean you can't enjoy being nice. :) But I'm agnostic so I'm not so sure of myself; instead, I wonder whether there's a god just like Sulu wonders what's in this cup here.

I blame 12 year olds imitating a cultural fad to be "cool", and then posting on their myspace and xangas about it so every other 12-year old with no sense of originality does it. But, hey, it's their choice. :)

Now that's a bit exaggerated, the war makes up a good part of the news. And there are anti-drug ads in all sortsa places.

What is hypocritical is how they can show pretty scary images and get away with it, but like you said they can't say certain four letter words. Or show boobies. :(

Response to: Only in America... Posted January 7th, 2007 in Politics

Um... I'm pretty sure automatic weapons aren't legal here. Otherwise Wal-Mart would be selling them.

And I agree, anti-marijuana laws suck. (They killed Peter McWilliams. =( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_McWilliams ) But it's not like all drugs are legal everywhere else, either.

Response to: Fox News: Iraq Behind Oklahoma City Posted January 7th, 2007 in Politics

Fox News- In other news, it turns out that Iraq was responsible for the Spanish Inquisition.

BBC News- In other news, a valiant strike was led today by a suicide bomber in Palestine who killed 10 Israeli opressors, including a particulary dangerous 10-year old boy. Also, America sucks.

Everyone's full of crap. :)

Response to: Israel wants to nuke Iran Posted January 7th, 2007 in Politics

It doesn't say when or if it actually will be carried out. If not, then I don't see anything wrong with having plans in case military action is necessary. From what I can see it appears this is only a hypothetical plan.
Now you might say that it's unlikely that Iran would use nuclear weapons, but think of who they might give them to. =\

Response to: Favorite Video Game Soundtrack? Posted January 6th, 2007 in General

Rez's soundtrack was integral to game, and was pretty nifty electronica. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus (Two of the greatest games of all time) had beautiful soundtracks. Vice City had some pretty nifty 80s music, and I loved the Water World level's song on Jet Force Gemini. I could just go on and on. :)
