Aba Games Posted January 14th, 2007 in General

Anyone here ever play any of his shumps? They're pretty retro 'n fun. http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~cs8k-cyu/index_e. html

And they're free! If you're using OS X like me go to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABA_Games
to see the ports to OS X. I think there are some Linux ports too.

They got featured in MacAddict a year or two ago.

Honestly, any foreigner who thinks that Americans are all flag-waving jingoistic George Bush supporters just need to look at Begoner; he hates America and Israel. Just goes to show you we're all different. Most Americans are not Bush supporters; look at how close the elections have been.

Well, I know there was a holocaust; I have three family members that were murdered by the Nazis, and many were scattered across the western world.

But my family history aside, you've got to be fucking kidding me. What about all the Jews who, you know, actually went to concentration camps? And then told us about it? And the bodies they found? And the fact that the Nazis WANTED TO MURDER ALL THE JEWS EITHER WAY?

At least there's a CD and unlimited doses option though... I just think they should scratch the having to renew it thing completely. But hey it's their choice of marketing... >_>;

Response to: Interesting Program Posted January 14th, 2007 in General

This looks pretty suspicious. Placebo may have something to do with it, and I don't like the idea of paying for a "dose" to just hear a track once and have to pay for it and hear it again. That is bullshit. I can't tell you in how many ways I hate this idea. It would be fine if you could buy one of their tracks and keep it, but just getting to hear it once? Come on.... anyone can record audio from their computer. >_> That's stupid.

If the answer is no, then God is not omnipotent.

If the answer is yes, then God is not omnipotent, because he CANNOT lift the rock.

My question to you, looksgood, is why your religion anymore credible than others that claim to be the word of God? How do they have any less "proof" than yours does?

Response to: Soft Drugs and Prostitution Legal? Posted January 14th, 2007 in Politics

Okay, legalization aside, let's take the moral part into account.

It is not immoral to smoke marijuana. It is a person's choice to damge their body and it is their own decision whether or not it is worth the long term effect to get the temporary high. It is no different than the choice a person makes to drink alcohol (long term issues aside), except that alcohol can heighten emotions and possibly make a person MORE violent, whereas marijuana does not have this effect. If people wanna relax in their own houses and marijuana helps them do that, it is their choice.

Prostitution in itself does no harm to anyone. The basic concept of exchanging money for sex hurts noone. In any job people sell their bodies and knowledge; is prostitution worse because it involves genitalia?

Why not?

Luxury taxes often run up that high... hell, I think Cigarette taxes are nearly half the cost of the pack as it is. It's basically a way to limit through cost the "boom" effect the new industry and decriminilization would have on the populus. Not only that, taxing it higher than normal sends yet another signal to those who believe that it's more dangerous than tobacco and alcohol, that the government is giving it the due consideration for that "added danger", and "hindering" it's distribution by increasing the price, possibly to the pint where fewer people will purchase it.

Why should it be limited? It is not more dangerous than alcohol and why should fewer people purchase it? I'd rather have more stoned potheads around than angry drunks. :)

But I think what you're trying to imply is a compromise... but what's your view?

Response to: What is the problem with gays ? Posted January 14th, 2007 in Politics

People are naturally afraid of what's different, and homosexuals are a minority.

Personally I wouldn't find it to unlikely that few people are completely straight or gay; I think it's more likely that it's more like a spectrum where one side is gay and the other is straight, with bisexuals in the middle.

There are NO victimless crimes.

There's a place where it's illegal to sleep with your boots on. Sleeping with your boots on there is a crime, and it's victimless.

However Peter McWilliams used the title "consensual crimes" to refer to these kinds of things because they are things that illegal that people consent to do to each other. In prostitution both people agree to the activity and therefore it should not be illegal because it infringes on noone else's rights.
