Response to: what level makes you siginificant? Posted January 24th, 2010 in General

People don't really take note of level, so much as he content and personality you have contributed. Sure, Pimp is top, but he hasnt really done much on the site other than visiting a lot. People like Luis have low levels, but people notice him more because of all the awesome things he does on the site

Response to: Rare Beatles Record Posted December 25th, 2009 in General

You've got a very rare record by an awesome rock band, and the value is just going up and up. Keep it till the value goes up a lot more, and in the meantime, just enjoy it yourself

The fact that they are performing suggests they like to be centre of attention, so looking sexy is something they like when its their choice.

"1337" doesnt really specify anything in particular. Give us an idea of what you were thinking

Response to: disney pixar's up Posted October 19th, 2009 in General

1. Its a disney pixar film, which generally guarantees awesomeness.
2. It is a freaking awesome movie
3. If you take a girl on a date with you, she will be crying into your shoulder at some point. Which, in case you didn't realise, is a good thing.
But yeah
Its awesome

Theres a good chance the fish was already stuck and the kid just picked it up. the water was only shallow, so the fish could have got stuck easily.

Response to: man i love mondays!!! Posted June 8th, 2009 in General

I've started loving mondays, but only recently, since i finished school, and everyoine else is majorly depressed about it. I love just pointing and laughing at my family as they drag themselves out of bed

Response to: How long do music fads last? Posted June 8th, 2009 in General

I dont think that the rap/r&b etc. fads will last too long. Most rock bands release an album every few years and tour in the meantime. Rap sounds terrible live, so artists spend all their time pumping out generic albums until theres nothing left in them, which doesnt take very long. Thus, the rap era will soon close, giving way to better, more awesome music

Response to: flash game downloads on NG Posted June 8th, 2009 in General

Most people don't want their movies or games being downloaded, but those on NG who do sometimes have links on-game/movie to sites where they can be downloaded. However, it could be quite easy for you to ask the authors via PM or other if they can send you the file themselves

Response to: Layout is good but... Posted May 30th, 2009 in General

Yeah, its a bit screwed up
Also, it's be nice to see the full details on the rating (E, T, M, A), cos i dont want my parents walking in to see brief nudity when its rated M and me not expecting it

Response to: Youtube copyright problem Posted May 30th, 2009 in General

It's a pain in the ass here in britain, its impossible to get on any videos that have music in them, and a huge amount of content has been blocked.

Response to: Tekken or Soulcalibur? Posted May 30th, 2009 in Video Games

Gotta Say that Soulcaliber is much better
The fighting is much smoother and faster that the tekken series, and there is more choice and customisation options. I used to be a tekken 4 man, but on playing soulcaliber 3, i just couldnt go back without being insanely bored

Response to: Plumet, 4th score of All-Time Posted May 30th, 2009 in Video Games

Im not entirely sure, but isnt there a highscore system in-game?
It would make more sense to just submit it that way

Response to: Newgrounds coin launcher? Posted May 30th, 2009 in General

I think that this wouldnt work very well on the site, but could do well as its own game
People would just spend tonnes of time posting pointless reviews for anything to get huge amount of coins, but as a game, it could work quite well.

Need some AS2 help Posted October 24th, 2008 in Game Development

Well basically, i have a simple script for dragging a movie clip, but it is inside another movie clip in a menu format that slides open and closes, but when the menu closes again, the movie clip goes with it.
So is it possible to make a script where, if i click a movie clip, it moves to the stage and doesnt follow the menu back?
My script as it stands is as follows

onClipEvent (mouseDown) {
startDrag("/movieclip");
}
onClipEvent (mouseUp) {
stopDrag();
}

Response to: AS: Drag & Drop Posted October 18th, 2008 in Game Development

im making a scene creator type game which has a few movie clips for some of the dragging things. To make the game look better i've got a mate to design some menus that slide open when you click them, and that works well, ut when i put the movie clip onto them, they dont work. I've tried changing the start drag part (startdrag"/menu/movieclip") on all of the scripts on the movie clip and the buttons inside it, but that doesnt seem to be working. when i do it with simple buttons that are only inside the menu (as opposed to another movie clip) it does work, so i dont know what im doing wrong
help?
