Hey there, I would be willing to collaborate with you to create a game. I am an AS3 coder and can create music. I have multiple games which I have started and others which I have created engines for, however am lacking an artist. If you would like to join me and produce a game, hit me up in an inbox or email me at sycnex@gmail.com.

Need artist/animator for small game Posted November 12th, 2012 in Collaboration

I am looking for an artist and animator, preferably skilled in effects such as abilities and character spell casting animations etc. for a game. The game will be something along the lines of a wizard battle game, where the player plays as a wizard of some sort and has to discover spells to use through hundreds of different key combinations (such as F + T = Fire Shock).

A small demo of this combination spell crafting can be found here http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/02d974b8dc0538dc9e73db2b cb082386.

If you're interested, send a PM my way.
Cheers.

Just a heads up guys, I don't often check back on this thread, so if your interested send me a PM. A lot easier to keep track of people that way. Thanks :)

Game Creation Team Posted August 5th, 2012 in Collaboration

Hey all, I am a fairly skilled AS3 programmer looking to create a team with which I can work with to complete projects. I am looking for:
- A skilled artist/animator
- An experienced composer
- Storyboard developer
- Anything else you think would contribute positively.
Our main focus as a team would be to create games (with advertisements, as to draw an income) so I am looking for passionate people who will be happy to contribute and remain active throughout the projects entirety. Should we become successful, I am considering creating a website showcasing our developments as a means to gain attention and create further revenue.
Payment will come solely from advertisements at this stage, and as such it can only be expected that the pay will not be very notable. However I urge you to look past this when considering joining the team as it is more for the fun of working together to create an outcome that people enjoy.

I look forward to anyone's interest. Slip me a PM with a demo of your work and I will consider your position.
Peace,
Sycnex.

Looking for artist :) Posted June 15th, 2012 in Art

Unfortunately I am not having much luck in the collaboration forum, so here goes!
I am currently looking for a 2d artist and animator to complete artwork for a dungeon crawler. The current demo is linked below:
http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/2a7e7203f2d5a96c7ad9e550 9c067375
Any artist who contributes throughout the development will receive a share of ad revenue (% to be discussed).
It will involve drawing demonic/fantasy monsters and animating their movement. You will also have to create backgrounds, weapons and game objects (crates, debris, etc).
By the completion of this game, it will be a single stage multi-wave dungeon crawler where you enter each dungeon from a menu, unlocking areas as you travel through the game. An in-game shop will also be developed and rare loot will be dropped by bosses at the end of each dungeon.
If you are interested or want more information, leave a response in this thread and send me an inbox.
Cheers, Sycnex

Response to: Coder for near complete flash game? Posted May 12th, 2012 in Collaboration

I would be willing to help out, I have some experience using flash and know my way around coding with as3, assuming that's what you have used for this game. If you would like any examples of my work let me know.

Response to: Test out my pokemon game :D Posted January 1st, 2012 in Game Development

If you make it tile based, collisions are easy. It simplifies everything. I know you'd have to effectively restart making the game, but it will end up looking a lot better and would have a more pokemon style feel to it.

I may just do that, any ideas how to get started on tile based movement?

I like the run thing you have in it, been trying to get that into my own game myself, did you use a speed variable or something?

Yeah, I'm just using a speed variable :), but yeah I definately have to re-do the movement code :/

I agree, the sprites are badly ripped, but unfortunately I have no artistic talent what so ever :D. And I have spent many a sleepless night wondering how to create a proper collision system, but to no avail it seems, any suggestions?

Actually, I probably should have mentioned this... At the start of the game head down to Prof. Oak's lab (Bottom left building) and walk in up to his desk to select your first pokemon. Then when you leave, the tree blocking your path will have moved and you can progress onwards. I have started making a battle system which works so far with some abilities, so if you read this try it out :D.

Hey guys,
I'm in the middle of developing a non-profit Pokemon game (yes, it's non-profit... so don't jump down my throat :) ) and am specifically looking for someone to test it through and send me a list of bugs/fixes/ideas that they have in mind. I am at the stage where I need to ensure the code is 100% working before I launch into continued development. If you could check it out it would be much appreciated! :D

I'm just looking for some nice backgrounds/cursor and enemy animations, so check out the link below and see what you think you can do :)

Some backgrounds could include:

And any different enemy concepts you create will be considered, so have fun with it and send me your results! :)

LF free artist/animator Posted July 31st, 2011 in Collaboration

Hey guys, I'm looking for an artist/animator that can make me some special effects for a game. I'm needing some elemental cursor animation, for instance using the basic cursor image and adding a fire effect in and around it. I would like the same done for water (which could be a cursor with water dripping from it), electricity (this could just be a cursor with lightning arcing around it/'through it) and earth (perhaps a cursor with vines twisting around it).

If your interested let me know what you can do!
