Can't remember song name Posted April 15th, 2006 in Game Development

I need a song for my flash, but I can't remember its name. It was featured both in the movie Troy and in America Dad, in the Middle Eastern episode. It is a very drawing melody, reminescent of a desert. Please tell me if you know that song.

k, thanks

Response to: Troubles with xilsoft CD ripper Posted April 15th, 2006 in Game Development

Allright then, tell me how to compress my MP3s then.

Response to: Troubles with xilsoft CD ripper Posted April 15th, 2006 in Game Development

No, Wavs are normally much smaller and compressed, MP3s sacrifice size for sound quality

I am currently trying to convert an MP3 to a WAV, but when the conversion is done, the resulting WAV file is 41 MB, whle the MP3 started at 5.3 MB. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with what I am doing?

MIDI in flash Posted March 31st, 2006 in Game Development

I can't get my flash to upload MIDIs. Is there a way to convert MIDIs into WAVs, or some way to make the program accept it?

Response to: Good WAV websites Posted March 29th, 2006 in Game Development

Holy God! that one link to the thread with all the websites is going to be a lifesaver. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. If I ever make it big in flash, I'll be sure to reward you somehow!

Good WAV websites Posted March 29th, 2006 in Game Development

I'm looking for a website that has a ton of simple sound effects WAVs, and maybe some music from movies, tv, games, etc.. Anyone who has found one of these, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Good point, I was hoping someone would offer a clear counter point than just saying stuff like, "oh well", or "This is gay". You are a good person.

SAIG, Simple As It Gets.

First off, I already made it clear that I love this site, it is the crappy flash makers that should leave. I've been working on my own, but I would never dream of submitting it untill I would give it a 5(and I vote tough) others should do the same

The portal system is a democracy, if people think it's good it goes through. If not, it's blammed.

this isn't a democracy, it's a cheerocracy.

I know how the portal works, I just think people should have enough respect for the site to not use it for their personal flame wars

The state of the portal Posted November 6th, 2005 in General

I love this site, no doubt about it. But I'm getting concerned with what is going on in the portal. I've seen so much crap on the portal today that I'm worrying flash is becoming a joke, and great works like the decline series and those by legendary frog are mere diamonds in the rough. Flash makers, I beg you, STOP SUBMITTING ANTI-CLOCK, STICK SKATEBOARDING, BAD DRESS UP, AND ALL THE OTHER CRAP THAT IS PLAGUEING THE PORTAL. I love seeing new works, but submitting flash that you already know will be blammed just to send a screw you to someone is just stupid. Thanks for your time.

Response to: Who is this Mr. Artist anyway? Posted November 6th, 2005 in General

Also, does anyone else find extreme irony in how the f crew seems to hate clocks for making crappy movies, but all of the fcrew movies i've seen today suck?

Response to: Who is this Mr. Artist anyway? Posted November 6th, 2005 in General

Is Mr. Artist like the leader of the F-crew, or is he just a guy who thinks he can ride his message on the event of F-crew day, which I guess is today.

Hee Hee!! That's the rare 5% of Clock movies, most of it is just crap spam that only gets through judgement because of mass clock voting. I can sympathise with Mr.A, some of the stuff the CC make is just garbage.

True, but that's no reason to be a dick and try to commit genicide on the clocks, and his hair looks really stupid.

Who is this Mr. Artist anyway? Posted November 6th, 2005 in General

Who is he, what does he hate the clock crew, what gives him the authority to destroy them, why does he think he can destroy them, why is today important, and WHY IS HE BEING SUCH A DICK? I'm not a clock, but I recognize that some clock flash is pretty decent, like Lord of the Clocks and so forth.

Response to: end of the clocks and sephiroth Posted November 6th, 2005 in General

I bet that fucker couldn't animate something half aswell as Lord of the Clocks

Who's that one crazy hair guy... Posted November 6th, 2005 in General

That is showing up in all the recent clock movies. Did he do something to piss off the clocks, or what?

For Level 10 and up... Posted November 4th, 2005 in General

Hello. I recently became a level 9 on this site, and so for the first time, I had a huge gap untill the next level. I knew it would take a while to climb up to level 10, but I figured my voting power would at least rise .01 points for every 1% or the near 1000 points I need to level up. However, I now see that after depositing 40 points, 4% of the 1000 points, my voting power has only increased by .01 since I became level 9. (sans blam and protect bonus). For those of you who have reached level 10, could you tell me how long I will have to wait to see my voting power rise? Thank you very much.

I appologise for sending those abominations of flash into the portal. If anyone saw them, please give me some advice so that I can practice new techniques while serving my 15 day double blam sentence. For those who are foggy, they were all about a cat who go's through a series of events that always end up hurting/killing him.

Is there a chart that has the quota for the whistle levels somewhere on Newgrounds, or does someone have one

Response to: Whistle points Posted October 27th, 2005 in General

Then does anyone know around how many working whistles you have to do to advance a level?
