those are pretty cool, but what I could really use for an overshot is some SimCity sprites if anyone has any.

need background sprites Posted October 22nd, 2006 in Game Development

I've tried shyguy kingdom, but I couldn't find any good background sprites. I'm looking for things like large buildings and other backgrounds, anyone have a link to a good site with sprite backgrounds?

Rob the place.

Threaten them with a Trojan Horse.

yeah, but then I'd have to higher a contracter, because I know shit about construction, and supplies, and then I'd loose more than the computer is worth. 4 story wooden horses filled with raging greeks arn't cheap

Response to: Buying a new computer Posted August 6th, 2006 in General

Think I could really get one that good for $300, that seems a tad cheap

Buying a new computer Posted August 6th, 2006 in General

I figured I may as well count on my pals on Newgrounds to set me straight on my computer purchase. I'm looking for something that can play certain games like World of Warcraft and others reasonably well, and still be able to run flash and hold a bunch of music, and I'm not looking to break the bank here. Anyone have any good suggestions as to what I should bet in terms of processors, memory, graphics cards, and so forth without going over, say, $850, more or less (preferably less).

Response to: Deleting a scene Posted July 27th, 2006 in Game Development

thank you very much, now to continue work

Deleting a scene Posted July 27th, 2006 in Game Development

How would you delete a scene from the timeline, as I moved all the frames from one scene into another, and am left with a one frame blank in the middle of the movie because I can't get rid of the old scene

Don't know much about 3D, so I can't help you there, although it may lead to a unique look.

Response to: Repent spamming Posted July 15th, 2006 in Game Development

Good clock flashes aren't that bad, its the poser clocks who think they can leach off its popularity who ruin it for everyone. I'm not a clock, but I admire some clock work.

Response to: Camouflage pattern. Posted July 15th, 2006 in Game Development

you could make the tank transparent by deleting the solid color on the inside, find a camo pattern on google, crop it to fit the tank, put it behind the tank on the same layer, then make it a symbol.

Response to: Camouflage pattern. Posted July 15th, 2006 in Game Development

whats it going on, a character, or something else?

Audio streaming Posted July 15th, 2006 in Game Development

Um, how do I do it?

Response to: Flash on new computers Posted July 10th, 2006 in Game Development

Response to: Flash on new computers Posted July 10th, 2006 in Game Development

cool, thanks, but do you know if it is fairly common for them to come with it, or is it winning the lottery?

Flash on new computers Posted July 10th, 2006 in Game Development

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what, if any, new computers and/or operating systems have flash 8 or MX (I'm not sure which is better) included at purcahse.

Response to: Music Issues Posted July 9th, 2006 in Game Development

Gunthix, you are helping me out hardcore tonight, you are the man. Thanks! I'm sorry for not knowing how to do these things myself yet, but one day I plan on making it big here on newgrounds.

Response to: Action Script Guide Posted July 9th, 2006 in Game Development

allright, but if I wanted to go to scene 3 with a button, and say scene one was my preloader (1 frame) And scene 2 is 400 frames long, would I use the number 402 to jump to the beginning of scene 3?

Response to: Music Issues Posted July 9th, 2006 in Game Development

anyone?

Response to: Action Script Guide Posted July 9th, 2006 in Game Development

and other things like a button that opens a new window for a previous submission, a pause and fast forward bar, scene select, all that good jazz action script brings. I just want a clear cut guide that tells me how to do it with no confusion

Action Script Guide Posted July 9th, 2006 in Game Development

I know that my flash submissions should have certain basics they are missing, such as a replay button and a preloader that isn't the generic newgounds given one, but as far as action script goes, I am mentally retarded. I'm looking for a good Action Script guid that will spell things out to me like I am retarded so that I know that I can't be doing it wrong if I do it like I'm told. If some one has just a generic cut and past where I can fill in the blanks, such as
on(release)
GENERIC ACTION SCRIPT COMMANDS (your frame here)
GENERIC ACTION SCRIPT COMMANDS

I could use something like that.
Thanks to anyone who helps me out.

Response to: Music Issues Posted July 9th, 2006 in Game Development

sweet, what do I do to stream the audio?

Music Issues Posted July 9th, 2006 in Game Development

It seems that when I make a movie, the music is on que with the animation, but when I upload it to Newgrounds, the song is off a few to several seconds by the end, and if I have cropped the sound file to fit the scene, it finishes before it should. How can I fix it so that the song always stays on sinc with the animation and ends when it is intended to? I normally use MP3s for songs if that helps.

Response to: A few questions for upcoming movie Posted April 29th, 2006 in Game Development

lots of people like ninjas, I myself am I pirate man (trianlges have pirates), but then again I also prefer the sword to the axe (a tilt in the favor of the circles)

I am currently animating the sequal to my series, Circles Versus Triangles. This will have much better animation than the my first one. But I do want to ask some questions that will help be to decide the overall winner

Pirates or Ninjas?
Red or Green?
Tank or Fighter Jet?
Pirate ship or trebuchet?
Swords or Axes?
Round or Angled?
Passive or agressive?
flowers or no flowers?
Gun or crossbow?

Either the circles or triangles are assosiated with each of these items, and I believe their equipment may help to have people pick a winner rather than an mere shape preference. For people having troulbe deciding, I'll give a link to my first CVT flash so that a better image of all this can be seen.http://www.newground..m/portal/view/3

Looking For Mac Midi To Mp3 Posted April 29th, 2006 in Game Development

I'm finding plenty of windows ones, but no free MIDI to MP3 converters supported by Mac. If anyone could hook me up, that would be awesome.
