Cant fucking believe I didn't see that. No riddles, only paradoxes. That is a riddle with and answer. A paradox is not a riddle.

It's not a riddle, it's a paradox because there are two correct ways to solve the problem that give different answers, a mathematic impossibility that is true. Thanks for having an open mind about it though, I'd hate to upset the rules of the thread you made on newgrounds that's so important. Just try not to use your tears as lubricant when you masturbate tonight, its just too sad.

It's a situation where there are multiple answers that make sense for the same problem, a mathematic impossibility outside of negative numbers, imaginary numbers, and algebra. If the men each paid $10 and got a $1 refund, then they payed $9 each, which is $27.

However, if the men paid $30 and, but got a refund of $5, but only got $2 of it, they have $28.

Both make sense.

Here's one for you:

Three men go to a hotel on their way to a business trip. The manager only has one room available. He agrees to rent it to the men for $30. Each of the men pay him $10.

The manager later decides that he overcharged the men, so he gives $5 to a bellhop to return to the men. The bellhop decides that he doesn't want to deal with dividing the $5, so he gives each of the men back $1, and keeps $2 for himself.

Therefor each of the men paid $9 for the room ($27) and the bellhop kept $2. That is $29.

The last dollar has disappeared.

Well, I think its really a mixture of both. For example, Flash CS3 offers alot more in terms of effects, scripting, and compatibiliy with photoshop than flash 5 did

Topic: The Eras of Newgrounds

Posted: 11/19/08 06:26 PM

Forum: General

It seems that as the years go by on Newgrounds, animations only seems to become of higher quality. This isn't to say that older flashes aren't as funny or are inferior, just the technology wasn't available to produce what we have now.

Anyway, I've been doing some thinking, and it seems you could classify Newgrounds into 3 distinctive eras.

The Early Years- Most notable for submissions by Tom Fulp, Dan Paladin, and the emergence of the clock crew. Also saw the beginning of the madness series.

Eventually, the animation improved and action scripting became more advanced, beginning the next era. I'll name it for the emergence of what is probably the most famous submission of the time, the Numa era. Notable Authors of the time include Legendary Frog, the Super Flash Bros., Piconjo, as well as sprite animators, such as Randy Simms, and Bigfoot. Notable games include the Newgrounds simulator and the rise of dating sims. This time also marked the beginning of the brackenwood series, which is still well above the level of most of the best animators today.

The most recent era, which I call the Modern era, has seen a great improvement in animation quality as well as more advanced games. The stars of this era include Micheal Swaine, Egoraptor, HotDiggityDemon, UkinJoe, and Chris O'Neil. During this time, flashes are becoming more or less like professionally produced cartoons.

Certain artists have transcended these eras, such as Tom Fulp, Krinkels, and Adam Phillips.

Anyway, what do you think Newgrounds? This is all just speculation on my part, but I thought I'd share it.

Yeah, well bite me. Campbell is God, and Halford is more metal.

Albeit, Mercury has the best rock voice of all time hands down, my opinion differs from yours as to "Who is the most badass."

I am here to remind you on how disagreeable people can be. So NYAAA!

Sir! I am a man of science and this poll does in no way reflect my own personal opinion. This topic is the result of hundreds of hours of research and billions in government funding. I apologize if you hold a different opinion but through my work I have determined that the most bad ass figure is indeed one of these two candidates. It's not disputable, it's scientific fact.

After years of research, field study, and public polling, I am nearing the end of my lifelong project. At last man will know who was the greatest badass of all time, once the final votes come in from the newgrounds precincts.

The final two candidates are as follows.

Freddie Mercury, and Freddie Mercury without a mustache.

Make your choice.

Who is the most badass?

Let me put it like this. If I were a lion, I would do terrible lion things to her. Dispicable lion things. The kinds of things you hear about in Urban legends, but dismiss as exagerations.

However, anyone who has ever watched a disney cartoon would know that none of the animals have assholes, let alone vaginas. So I guess this is all dependent on whether or not it is even possible to do said terrible lion things to her.

Anyone who was watching the election coverage on CNN might have seen this. Apparently, CNN has holograms. The kind that project a three dimensional image of a person in a room, like the kind from science fiction. WHERE WAS I WHEN CNN GOT FUCKING HOLOGRAM TECHNOLOGY??

Seriously, fucking holograms!
